  1. Some are complaining that Seattle saw that the Bills were going to dump Lynch for off-field reasons. They saw more on-field potential than the Bills did. Smelled the desperation and proceeded to rob the Bills blind and steal Lynch for a 4th. It can be theorized that Lynch wouldn't have gotten as good in Buffalo, or he would have run over another hooker and gotten suspended, or any other potential negative thing you can think of. None of which can be proved or disproved. What is fact and cannot be refuted is that the Hawks got a game changing RB that has been instrumental in their success, including a ring and maybe another, for a 4th round pick and that the Bills were the other party in that trade and have to be considered the losers in that deal by any measure.
  2. Of course they do, Seattle fans are not stupid. Lynch put the team on his back yesterday and was a big reason they won that game. But saying that doesn't fuel the Lynch hate flames.
  3. Yes they did, several times. Lynch is another reason some Bills fans do not like Seattle. They get their panties in a bunch when an ex-Bill blossoms on another team and becomes a major impact player. If said player gets a ring or two in the process that just fuels the hate even more.
  4. My son is a much bigger football fan than I am and he says he isn't even going to bother to watch this year. Also mentioned wanting them both to lose. He was hoping for Pack/Colts. I'm sure he'll watch if the Pats get disqualified for "ball-gate", but it's the Pats so how likely is that. Sadly, the show is going to be on a delay so they can dump out any such malfunctions. Well, Rex promised playoffs so can the superbowl be far behind? This is all true.
  5. The Bill were afraid he would do another stupid thing and get suspended. Plus, they didn't need Lynch because that had CJ Spiller.
  6. Rex's defense you saw on the Jets. He stepped into this one already built.
  7. Yes I do. Most of all, Rex wants to be a head coach of an NFL team. After Atlanta and SF didn't want to dance, the choices were dwindling. I'm sure he wouldn't have taken the job if he thought it was going to completely suck. He would have just gone to TV. The Bills were not his first choice, but that is no big deal and no reason for anyone to get their panties in a bunch. He is still a name, will certainly get press coverage, and will undoubtedly give the job his all.
  8. Agreed. It is not unusual at all for a new HC to bring in his own staff. It just makes sense.
  9. Why do people have such a hard time seeing this. He took his option out as was stipulated in his contract. Nothing underhanded there. He had the option in case things didn't work out with the new ownership. Things didn't work out. Case closed. There are several things he will have to come up with creative answers to, but this is not one of them.
  10. Good thing Pegula has deep pockets now with all the co-executive-assistant to the co-assistant to the assistant to the [fill in the blank] coaches
  11. That's how it is with Rex, all or nothing. Either the rise will be spectacular, or the crash and burn will be. He is already starting with his playoffs promise, It is sure to be a fun ride, no matter how it ends.
  12. They should hire Manning as their OC.
  13. We can only hope. But that story was coming out just after the end of last night's Sabres game where a team that had lost their previous 6 games came to Buffalo, with a couple prominent ex-sabres on the roster, and spanked the Sabres 7-0 to get the Sabres to 14-28-3. [And please, no "they are trying to lose" stuff. ]

  15. Of course. Particularly when said coach didn't exactly set the world on fire in his last job which got him canned. But at the same time, fans have also earned the right to get excited at any new hire, particularly one that is as personable and likable as Rex. To each his/her own.
  16. If not now, when?
  17. Yeah it's the non-linearity of it that is off for me. I suppose if an owner wanted more direct involvement having all 3 entities report directly to him is a good way to accomplish it.
  18. Two F-Bombs actually. But forgiven because of how they are used.
  19. Interesting, thanks. So Whaley reports directly to Pegula as well then? Is this the norm across NFL teams and for that matter other sports like hockey? Ted Nolan reports to Pegula do you know? I understand that Whaley would not fire the HC without talking it over with both Brandon and Pegula even if he had the power. But it just seems weird to me.
  20. Yes, that is exactly what some people want. For that though just stick to buffalobills.com
  21. Yeah that was mentioned prior to hiring Rex, but I never heard why. Does anyone know why the HC would not report to the GM or even the president, but instead right to the owner? What would be the purpose of circumventing the normal chain of command in this case?
  22. I don't know. Seems like a fair question. Did you expect them all to be "Rex, please tell us again how the Bills are going to the playoffs this season" or other rah rah powder puff questions? This is Rex remember. He isn't going to be phased by that crap like some Bills fans are.
