  1. While many of us were clamoring for a fast AND big WR, it should be mentioned that we have a plethora of big targets on the team...they're just not that fast. Regardless of size (and he's not that small at 5'11" and change), Graham can hopefully stretch the field and open up the quick-short routes that were our bread and butter during the first few games last season. Part of me thinks that they drafted the absolute fastest WR, so that he could stretch the field in a hurry. We know Chan likes FItz to get the ball out quickly. Can he be one of those indispensable decoys? (the Lee Evans defense)
  2. Does Asper have any sort of longsnapping experience? It's well known that Sanborn will never be a 'franchise' guy, just a very good number 2. If Asper can nail this down then we can finally make a championship run, and stop focusing on this 'just getting to the playoffs' nonsense.
  3. I'm just surprised they want Martin on the right side of the line. I'm a big Martin fan, but he is a finesse LT. He'll have to bulk up like crazy to be a mauler on the right side...
  4. Nice write-up Q. Several things: 1) I'm not sure Graham's size is as diminutive as some think. While he is a bit slight of frame, he's 5'11" and change, and can breaks tackles occasionally. Not tackles from head on, but from people behind him jumping at his legs as he tries to separate from them. Certainly needs to learn how to block. 2) I would have said Glenn was 'make-or-break,' but with Hairston and Sanders also young tackles, I think one of the three will simply have to pan out. Hairston looks good right now, Glenn has the looks of a fantastic tackle, and Sanders has a great head on his shoulders. 3) It was the Jags who got weird and took a punter right after us in round 3. Astonishing.
  5. Most recent one I can remember is...Kyle Calloway I think? Didn't Maurice Clarrett (3rd round) flame out during training camp for the Broncos, subsequently getting cut?
  6. You sly dog, you! Respecting your own opinion? Awesome. That being said, I agree I think we eventually see a line of: Glenn, Levitre, Wood, Urbik, Hairston
  7. Glad to hear this (esp his practice experience at C) from Nix. On another note: Nanker, I think you misinterpreted 3putt's statement...(even if I disagree with him - Glenn has been, and will be, a LT)
  8. That's the spirit John, nice full analysis! We share much of the same sentiment, but I would hope they don't play Glenn at RT. I too want to see him get down to 325, but I feel like he should be coached to play LT right from the get go. If he kicks out to RT, I think it may just be delaying his development. With the play of Pears last year, I don't see a ned to put him over there. Let Hairston and Glenn battle it out for LT. Give Sanders time on both sides. Just some thoughts...
  9. I mean, he's not a "tall" receiver...but isn't he 5'11"? Maybe even a hair taller?
  10. Dude no way, I watched ALL of his college game and he is AWFUL.
  11. Edited the first post to reflect the kicker, John Potter. Great name. Overall, I come away confident from this draft. It's not "exciting," like many people who spend too much time on ESPN inevitably hope for, but it definitely fills needs with excellent prospects. Only Graham and Potter had me scratching my head. At the very least, however, I'm really looking forward to seeing what Graham's speed looks like on the Bills.
  12. I think they go DE, with Travian Robertson or Donte Paige-Moss.
  13. I rarely start threads, but I've seen people throwing around draft grades, and I think that approach doesn't mirror how most of us view the draft. I'm interested in your opinions, pick by pick. 1. Gilmore - Given who was available during the pick, I'm very happy with our selection. With Kalil, Blackmon, Kuechly, (and Barrron) gone, Gilmore was our only real option, imo. 2. Glenn - I'm a Martin fan, but how can we be upset with this pick? Excellent value, excellent prospect. Very happy. 3. Graham - My least favorite pick this far. He's certainly a burner, but needs a lot of work for an early 3rd rounder. His hands seem so-so, fumble issues, and his blocking is bad. That being said, Chan seems thrilled to have him on the team, and I hope that Chan's right about him. 4. Bradham - Fantastic pick in round 4. Good physical specimen, plays with passion. I think he'll see significant time by years' end. 4. Brooks - Another pick I love. Watch him pop out on special teams play, and force his way onto the dime package. 5. Sanders - Another excellent pick, great value in the 5th. Great head on his shoulders, a lot of experience, glad to see another capable tackle who can play both sides. 5. Carder - Yet another pick I'm happy about. Great instincts, good tackler, Rose Bowl MVP. Can't believe he broke his back when he was a kid. 6. Asper - While some of us we're looking at McNutt with this pick, I am not terribly upset. I'm happy to see we're making a concerted effort to build a solid Oline, with good depth. 7. Potter - Interesting. I was convinced they were going to add another DE. I wanted a tall WR to develop. They catch us all off guard and draft a kicker, even though when Lindell went down we all realized just how stable he has been.
  14. While I wanted to draft McNutt, I like stocking up on Olinemen.
  15. And the only person on the board who could post a unintentionally funny response comes to the rescue!
