The coaching staff is great. Amazes me how people forget the talent on this team, especially offense, is still very limited. Allen is still a work in progress. I think he gets there and he’s definitely improving, but there is a way to go still. The WRs are super limited. Better than last year but working with a 2, slot, and a bunch of depth isn’t a great position. the TEs are rookies. the Oline is nearly completely new, Morse is great but other than that the line is patchwork. RB is solid, but again a rookie. All of this combined with a great defense and I think the coaching staff is purposely protecting the offense as much as they can. As they add more pieces and Allen grows into his third year, I think you see a much different approach from the coaching staff.

Refs doing ref things: 1) after further research, the second half KO was clearly a bills TD. You can’t catch a KO then just flip it to the ref. It’s a live ball. Bills would have been up 20-0 2) the blindside block was at best highly questionable and at worst a completely bogus call. Cost the bills at least a FG try for the win. 3) the non delay of game was, in my opinion, the worst non call I’ve ever seen. The play clock was a good 2 seconds past 00 before the snap. Instead of 3rd and 18 it should have been 3rd and 23. Since the Texans got 18 for a first, I think that no call was crucial. 4) Texans called for 4 dead ball 5 yard fouls all game and that’s it!? Really!?!? What a crock of *****. I could have picked out at least a half dozen plays where there was a foul on the Texans. Nuts and Bolts: Bills get screwed again.

I’ve seen guys do the arms out thing all the time. Difference is that they always let the ball land in the end zone and the play is blown dead immediately. I’ve actually never seen a guy do the arms out thing then catch the ball. letter of the law - that was probably a fumble and should have been a bills TD. spirit - he clearly was giving up the play and should have been a touchback. since when does the NFL run the league by intentions and not the strict rules? Food for thought. The more I think about it, the more I think the bills got totally phucked on that play too. Ugh.

I really hate to say it, but this game came down to two huge ref calls. The illegal blindside block on Dawkins and the non delay of game. Two horrible calls that changed the game. It’s so brutal that the officials have such a huge impact on the game.
