what we need to get right this week: 3rd down defense. Maye is not someone who is going to just sit there and take it while he will get sacked, and I anticipate a fumble or two on this turning the ball over which helps momentum for the Bills. The Bills need to put up an effort on stopping third downs. survive the game and move on to MNF against Atlanta. I think Atlanta is our get right game of the year heading to a bye week then Carolina to exercise off of our rest and the KC game. we won't look past Carolina for KC. the atmosphere in Carolina is going to be a home crowd. the Atlanta game is going to be primetime Josh finding his groove and elevating his team to the level of play that needs to exist the rest of the year as we look forward to coming home for a rest. that said, this week we just need to simply win by not being stupid. survive. depth players need to be able to make a dent with their limited playing time. players like ray davis, dorian strong, dawson knox/dalton kincaid... players getting 10-30% of the the snap counts need to do something that gives bang for the buck yes, i've pointed it out. became fans in oct 2001. before that they liked the patriots because they were the local team and the bruins were awful, the red sox sucked, and sometiems the celtics were good so they didn't have much to be happy about. even their clam chowder and baked beans were lousy in those years. eff boston.

The Patriots had Carrol as their HC. He was young, had swagger, and did pretty good in the NFL at that point 33-31. Kraft was struggling to decide what to do but ultimately decided it would be best to move on from a dismall average performance. After all, Bledsoe was hands down considered top 2-3 QBs in the NFL. Highest paid player in history with the contract that he signed before the 2001 season he got injured. He was sto be the Patriots future. Weiss system didn't work for Bledsoe like it should and didn't balance in harmony with the defense that the Patriots fielded. Bledsoe was a gunslinger that took risks and quick drives. Belichick learned defense about slow and controlled defense to run the clock time.

Lol Please take as much offense to this as possible because right now it is deserved but you may be forgiven since as a patriots fan you didn't discover football until some time in mid October 2001. Belichick had precious experience in Cleveland and in his narcissistic grandeur wore his welcome out there. 36-44. His success largely entailed riding the coattails of Parcells. He went to NYJ as HC and chickened out, too. He got to NE and thought he would get another go at it. The Internet is impossible to search for it with all the time since 2000 was a long time ago but the NE fans wanted him gone especially the 0-1 start and 5-11 start before. After Bledsoe was injured the team called and brought in some QBs to tryout. Belichick opted to roll with what he had and was quoted as saying he will try the rookie out and rely on the defense. The speculation was that he knew the season was done and he likely wouldn't last beyond his second year with Bledsoe hurt. Bledsoe had just become the highest paid player ever, mind you.
