they need to go to seeding style and list it. the MNF game crushes it. every year it should be the 4/5 seed on MNF and it flips between the AFC and NFC. something like: 2nd and 7th Saturday night and Sunday 2nd game 3rd and 6th plays Saturday afternoon and Sunday night 4th and 5th plays Sunday afternoon and Monday night. Each conference flips years.

I lived in Dumpoledo (well outside of it) for a long time and have always appreciated the team. I never met many Lions fans, though. Most folks were Browns fans despite Detroit being 30 minutes away, 45 from us. Outside of Michigan there are very, very few Lions fans. Oddly enough this topic came up at work and we researched it to find the Lions social media pages are more followed than the Bills and they have more fans than the Bills.

It's weird, too. It used to be much better understood. I don't know if it was also the players. I remember Bledsoe did an interview talking about a game, maybe the Minnesota game that was a shootout, and describing how he ran the clock to his plan. Coaches used to be good at it, too. Kicking is awful, running is inconsistent, time management is gone, game time scenarios are not planned, the league is becoming backyard football. This is where Reid has an advantage because of his tenure and his ability to solely focus on the offense.

this team is still good enough to push into the playoffs but i don't see us winning the super bowl even if we get there. josh would need to go beyond his super human effort. i don't know what i'd rather have: josh getting a super bowl victory with our flawed team now... or josh saving himself a little until the team is stronger and things are looking more upright regardless, this is the weakest the nfl has ever been - there is little parity and the afc is not that good even if the chiefs have only lost 1.

Hydes selling point is not hitting harder or covering faster. Hyde sells because he plays smarter. I don't know that it would be an improvement to Hyde but I know he has special value. He is fully healed and he was not as weak of a link as people think - Poyer left us vulnerable at safety. Rapp and Hyde played quite well, especially against Miami.

it's puzzling and in many situations you could go many ways. If the Phili/Steelers game was at 1 o clock you could see it going many ways but Campbell would never let his team slack to avoid injuries to accept a loss shoudl the Eagles lose. The entire NFL season ends somewhat interestingly but in this case, Detroit can lose and Phili win with Detroit maintaining the #1. Fwiw we historically do really well against Detroit regardless of either teams record. Even in our worst years the last 30 years we beat them. Something about our matchup to the NFC North gives us and the East and edge, just like AFC South is kryptonite to us.

Andy Reid never had one of the most talented players in the NFL on his roster and there was a reason he got fired by the Eagles. Maybe it is simply he needed to grow, maybe it was the talent he was working with was not something he could coach, a variety of reasons. But let's not pretend that he failed with the eagles.
