For those saying “this is what we voted for…”
boyst replied to stevestojan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
it's hard to rationalize any direction he is going at the moment. his first term started all over the road and got course corrected over time. we shall see where it goes from here but he is strengthening the federal government in many cases and his first term appointees to the court haven't been all that strong. i am hoping we get a chance to get Clarence THomas replaced under a majority of the senate. -
It's not what you say it is how you honor the memory of those who served. I did not serve, either. I had/have family who did across multiple wars and events. The millions I did not know are just as much important. I've never been one to believe in the "happy memorial day" mentality. It is a somber day for all too many who never had their loved ones come home. If I say anything it is simply "have a good memorial day." Just my 2¢ but I don't invest heavily to other people in it because many people see it as a free day off without the honor of memorializing those who paid the ultimate price.

Every year I swear I won't do it with a vest. Every year I still do it with a vest. It's humbling to complete this workout knowing what it represents. For this that don't know: 1 mile run 100 pull ups 200 push ups 300 air squats 1 mile run All with 20# weighted vest.

Oh, yes. Let's just be happy that a guy was railroaded, forget the history that the BLM created division through a false narrative and memory hole the 2019-2022 events. Typical leftist shill. Stop breathing. You're taking. Away a valuable resource better used for those around you, and clearly your brain does not need any more oxygen since it already functions in the single digits.

The identities of each and every juror was doxxxed and shared online. The jury was compromised. They had no choice but to find him guilty. The whole notion that he will be pardoned is just fervant rhetoric by the left to drum up the idiots who do not understand government. The president cannot pardon state level offenses. Period. The left spreading this narrative, including that B word Walz and the dumbass GOP who believe it are one in the same: the problem with the US.

You know how I know you're ######ed? Are you upset about Daniel shaver? Do you know who he is? Nah, you're a mindless feck that goes with mainstream programming. I don't need your respect if you worship someone like Floyd. I choose better people. The jury had absolutely been tainted. The jury had to throw a bone to the whole protest and social movement of BLM which was a scam. Floyd was alive when driven just a few blocks away when aid was given. It's a horrible situation but one Floyd could have entirely avoided by not being a drug addicted criminal ignoring police demands.

Oh, sweetie. I suggest you watch more law enforcement interactions. Everyone arrested screams they can't breath, they're being hurt, they're scared... And many of those same folks assault and kill officers. I'm sorry your sunshine and rainbows world doesn't understand that the trachea is on the front of the throat, as well. I'm glad you defend monsters who beat pregnant women and a man who would have robbed you blind. Gotta love the liberal white broads. One of the things that gets me 6 to midnight is watching these women who thought like you get karma from the monsters of the world they're too stupid to be aware of or protect themselves from.

I voted for Trump and would again because we need a better education system in this country. We need people who know aisle from isle. Trump will fix this! MSGA! I'm an independent libertarian (notice the lower case L). Trump was the lesser of two evils. Everyone hates him that has power... I hate everyone that has the power over this country and has held it in the uniparty for 40-50 years. So, yeah, hopefully checks and balances can be restored to the presidency. Maybe one day the Senate will get the head out of their ass but that isn't likely since the 17th amendment destroyed what was a fabric of our Republic. The house is a joke in every way. The state governments are still holding on by a shred of chance, but only some states and not all. California, Colorado New York, Michigan, Washington, Hawaii are all too far gone one way down the aisle. Nebraska, ND, SD, Oklahoma, and several other states are still doing just what they were 100 years ago. This is a good thing because states should choose their own whole being a part of the larger Republic. But, since Lincoln that's all been screwed up, too. I'd vote for Trump again because Democrats and the bull#### they pull is far more disgraceful to humanity than the Trump Administration. Honoring George Floyd all over the country today, smeaing Kavanaugh, Russia hoax, the Clinton and Obama mafia (back to back with the Bush family), is all ridiculous. Anyone else would be better than another politician. -
It'll be tough to put Bishop in with the mistakes he makes unless he fixes himself. McDermott can only hid so many blemishes. If Dorian Williams ends up starting next year or sooner depending on Milano's health it'll be a lot to cover up for at MLB. I'd play it safe and keep it Hamlin in over Bishop if Milano is not going to be there.
-
It won't matter if neither one of them cannot beat out Hamlin. Hamlin is also underrated. He's not excellent, nor is he really good. But he doesn't make many mistakes and he doesn't cause a lot of problems. He lacks speed and athelticism to make the plays or close them out but those are not evidence of mistakes.

BBMB was a complete utter joke and 💩. Topic moderation was so absolutely watered down to boring topics. Controversy wasn't allowed. They, like most teams, got rid of it due to concerns over liability and inability to control their branded topics. They were smart to do it. They're a football team. Not a message board.

The ticket prices won't have 1 effect on the game. What will have an effect is that Lamar Jackson doesn't grow or change, develop or or learn in the off-season. His pure elite athleticism combined with his electric play making ability are the center point of his success. Against elite athletes who are dialed in this mentality can only get you so far. The ability of Lamar Jackson is like Jaugernaut. He needs inertia to get himself moving. The NFL of today doesn't get that going in preseason. Lamar Jackson has to have himself a day to come out on night 1 of the NFL season to succeed against the Bills who have improved the talent on the roster from 2024 At the end of the game I think we see a competent Jackson who does enough to win a game but does not "go off" like he does in other games. His momentum won't be there, the chemistry from his team won't be there; Likely, Flowers, Bateman, and Andrews will have to find spaces to catch the ball roaming free and Jackson will have to find them. Week 1 will be determined by Henry. Not because he is big bad Derrick Henry. Henry will pound the ball, hit the holes, and introduce every Bills defender back to the regular season in a flash, a thud, and a bang. Jackson must put the ball in Henry's hands.

Durm is the benefit of Duke, the best school in a 15 mile radius. That western area is well organized for commuting compared to the northeast, laurinburg area, and wake Forrest. The south is just now catching up. With Sanford growing fast and now the Disney village just south of the RDU that area is going to continue to explode. If you haven't heard of the Disney village, just wait. Also the high speed rail system between RDU and CLT is going to get the commute via train in under 75 minutes is the goal.

This is great. Bears have a great prospect at MLB we can check out. 14 yr old Tremaine Edmunds has great potential to be a playmaker at such a young age and already 19 years in the league.

100% agree. And that the thought is that it's about safety when it is only about 5 or 6 plays a game is hog poop

NFL players to the Olympics in Flag Football?
boyst replied to GASabresIUFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Anyone who has watched high level flag football can testify it is quite difficult and different. The speed, balance, and agility is a lot higher. The players don't weigh much over 200#. Their moves are unlike any NFL players other than Barry Sanders. They can drop their hips and change their direction better than McCoy. The whole intention is not the same as an NFL player. -
He was here when Hyde, Poyer, Tre, Milano, Miller, Marlowe, Jordan Phillips, Johnson, etc. had the Bills defense roaring with energy, pride, and style. If he didn't fit in with that group than he will have a hard time anywhere.

The time of Western New York's demise go inside it with the rise of North Carolina, the infrastructure of North Carolina was primed for growth. Charlotte unfortunately did not plan far enough ahead unlike the Piedmont triad. Raleigh is just a mess.

Cannabis consumption on track to overtake alcohol
boyst replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in Off the Wall
I have heard that, but I'm also disturbingly hard to affect. I took lorazepam for a surgery procedure recently and it didn't do *****. They had to triple my dosage and I was still perfectly aware of everything. -

I drank a couple of 10mg THC seltzers. Never smoked weed in my life or anything Seriously, the effects did nothing. The first I drank over 10-12 minutes. Nada. The second I chugged. Nothing. How disappointing. I was trying to test THC because I will begin THC infused honey soon. 10mg in 2 oz honey.
