  1. it most definitely was the team but it was the only attitude we had on the team for a very long time. an attitude we have needed in the post season since he left. not saying we need him but someone like him would be great
  2. It was Hughes. Not going to bother with the trust me, or I know it was him. Just: it was Hughes. There was a lot of animosity between the two and it's not just an easy thing to explain
  3. I would doubt it. I don't think he would have ever had exposure to him. Only indirect through the articles. I doubt McDermott will ever sit down with him now at all. After McDermott got criticism from WGR he refused to talk to the crew that gave it to him. I don't know the personalities but it was when he first started.
  4. He's a good man. Doesn't mean he is a good coach. He could not handle NY or Dallas media. The guy is lucky he is Buffalo where the only tough questions come from Tyler Dunne
  5. i had been wearing this 90's shania twain tshirt (farm shirt) all day and my wife made me change it.
  6. https://myfox8.com/news/north-carolina/piedmont-triad/davidson-county-sheriff-investigating-after-calf-shot-killed/ you be the judge. the opening line they gave me - "it was a friendly cow".... jeesh. thanks. i did
  7. sadly with some the bar isn't very high on the most intelligent things people have ever said. but when you are in front of a microphone every day then you're bound to make mistakes and not come off as best as possible. hell, i was just on the news for an interview. took 35 minutes for the interview and it brought down to 4 minutes. i look about as special needs as they come... i have half of a mind to post it.
  8. www.removepaywall.com take the website you'd like to use and copy and paste the URL in their box to unpaywall. once there it should take you through the removed paywall options to navigate an entire website. another is using an internet wayback machine or website archive site. those copy websites daily, essentially. that copy of the website will not include any of the paywall infastructure. for those that think i have an axe to grind with newspaper. i do. i most certainly do. big newspaper crushed small town paper and ruined local news. beyond that, while almost every other media source in the world adapted with twitter and the internet - the newspaper publishers almost refused to do so and sunk money into trying to limit the internet instead of develop it as a tool for them. they lost billions and now it's too late so they put paywalls on articles. meanwhile, if you want a story just click on a tv networks news coverage for free - tv adapted to the internet (albeit not in a very timely manner).
  9. that Dunne has Pat Moron on his side gives him less credibility
  10. Remind me tomorrow. Company Christmas party was not kind to me. Auto correct was though.
  11. Wasn't Smith there???!?? Am I that forgetful?
  12. cook and johnson have been playing very well but now fournette is going to do something those two havent?
  13. i am more in the sense that he was making an analogy or something rhetorical about how the players dress and behave. i don't think he was serious. moral of story. lunches are 1 hour sir.
  14. pt brady on a bunch of other teams and they'd have never made it though
  15. Clicking on the linked page from the removed paywall site worked for me
  16. copy and paste the link to the removepaywall.com site and it lets you do the full thing and click at the bottom to page two and 3
  17. if you outlaw guns only outlaws will have guns!!!1111oneone
  18. it was a professor who killed people - so i'm not surprised his political party has not been mentioned.
  19. See my quote above That is a very specific lie. Lies in stories are either completely fabricated or too specific with a manufactured backstory. That passes my sniff test of truth but the accuracy could always be off - as a joke. McChump could have said in a joking manner that his OL needs to be tough and not wearing Jordans. They should be wearing cowboy boots, and carharrts, and drive f650's, and dip Redman... All in a analogic metaphor.
  20. Let journalists learn to code Paywall fixed.
  21. Eli was a very good QB. Among the top 5 in his era over shadowed by Brady, Peyton, and others. I think he had more talent then Brees, Ryan, Rodgers, and many others. He and Rivers do not get enough respect for how talented they were because of the bad teams they were on but both elevated their teams. They went all in to support him. The defense played insanely good. They squeezed out lucky games. They were overrated.
  22. winning super bowls elevated the legacies of: bradshaw gannon foles early tom brady flacco warner theismann roethlisberger and some just flat out didn't deserve it and got there by their team brady (early and late at tampa) brad johnson, staford dilfer favre rypein hostetler doug williams etc etc
  23. the nuanced difference between cam and lamar is magnificent. especially on a pure passing talent level. newton was able to get away with many things because of olsen and smith being great targets for him while lamar in his prime and at times this year has been finding windows that newton never could. i hate that both of these guys are lumped in the same pot because ...[insert comment here]... because it's not fair. they're quite a bit different.
