They classify any animal with pit genetics as a pitbull because they must. Most of these dogs get out down. Most no kill shelters are terribly managed, understaffed, unregulated, and often more harm than good.

My wife is a veterinarian. She sees 2-3 dogs a week mauled by Pitbulls. She and almost every other veterinarian realize they are extremely dangerous dogs. Numerous times at her practice and others special procedures are taken at practices when Pitts (or other dangerous breeds enter). This includes emptying the lobby and common areas of all animals and children specifically. The dog is muzzled as soon as it enters the property. This is also required by insurance. There are times they even hobble the dogs. You cannot control a 130 lbs animal set out to kill or attack. If you want to continue to be outraged and personally saddened. Go ahead... I'll raise the stakes now. Kill all pit bulls. There is a way. Don't open it. Don't read it. Don't reply. It's hard to be responsible, I guess

Its difficult to mince the words and parse the thoughts, if that makes sense. I think Beane truly believes he was lied to while I also think that Araiza didn't necessarily lie but may have done a combination of omit, withhold, mistake, confuse, misremember, misinterpret events of the evening without nefarious reasons. Perhaps he simply didn't weigh some of the information appropriately to pass along, perhaps he thought some details didn't matter, perhaps he simply didn't want to discuss something that was irrelevant to the charges of rape (maybe he didn't admit to sex with her), i ... we... Just don't know. We will never know and it's too late to even matter. I wish him the best like I do and want for everyone. Except Tom Brady. ef him.

i don't think we will ever truly know what was and was not true by the standards of Beane. while i do trust beane not to have blatantly lied or bold faced lied i do not trust the media of buffalo - short of Wawrow. i also don't think araiza knew all the details of the scope and the media's presentation going full nancy grace did not help him to be able to put out every fire. i do not fully trust transcipts of calls unless they are digitally made or recorded. a recount of a conversation is almost never accurate. the nfl claimed the inability to punish him because under the nflpa rules he was not yet in the nfl when this happened. howeevr, i think the bills could have forced the hand of the league and even got araiza to agree to do a suspension pending results at a limited pay. what is sad is we will never actually know what was said to know if there truly was a lie. i remember at the time thinking that Beane based this understanding ofa lie on media reports and the statements of the girls attorney. i cannot wait for the day when the practical pragmatic group can wallop the head of the knee jerkers.
