  1. The comic book guy could narrate billsphan's posts.
  2. I read in nevergiveups post that he could be the safest pick in the draft. I would love this pick for that reason alone. Imagine getting production out of a first round pick. As buffalo's luck would gave it he'll get injured in preseason.
  3. Someone on this board said it well once. "I have to appreciate his talent as a QB, at the same time, I hope he gets hit by a bus."
  4. It wouldn't take long for most of the players to come around. They will eventually realise they don't have the education to jump straight into another million dollar+ career, and there is an oversupply of sports analysts.
  5. I meant to write that bree's had his breakout year the year before rivers was drafted, which blows my argument out of the water. Thanks for taking the the time to check though. Fingers crossed its a sign if things to come.
  6. Still feel like they are on a better track than the last regime offered. hard to tell after one year though.
  7. I thought bree's had a breakout year the year they drafted rivers. but i have done no fact checking and i'm not as sharp as i used to be. I agree with you on your draft preference though. IMO we need a mean defender first.
  8. True. you got me there. But i will lay it out there that i hasn't gone past nix to draft a quaterback when he's getting production out of a veteran. Bree's had a good year and the chargers still drafted Rivers. when it came to it Rivers won out. In the end that translated to getting a few draft pics for the first round pick they used on Rivers. in the long term, it turned out to be a good choice. (wait nix was with the chargers when that happened wasn't he?). I'm not saying that the Bills won't draft a quaterback early, they are in year two of a rebuilding program we were told would take a few years so having two quaterbacks that could possibly get great value at a later date can turn out to be a good choice. With the draft being deep on defensive lineman, its very possible. I just don't think it means that they don't believe that fitz can get the job done.
  9. Gailey seems to be the kind of man that says what he thinks. Over evaluating everything he says to find a basis for your argument is pointless. No one on this board is in a position to speak for him, or anyone in the front office for that matter, or translate his feelings for others. Their feelings about Fitzpatrick is written plain as day in todays sports xchange post on TBD's front page. To quote Chan directly "WE ALL BELIEVE IN HIM",the coaches, the players believe in him. even if alphadawg doesn't. It seems having a high pick puts them in a spot on this issue. they will consider every position because they might not be in this position again, knowing that the Bills are not good enough to bypass any position. That goes without saying when you are picking 3rd in the draft. Most on TBD seems to think that you can't win a championship with Fitz at the helm, yet To Quote Gailey again "I think we can win a championship with him.". You tend believe in a player you think can win a championship with. Have you known Gailey to shoot the s***? So to answer the question the title asks. IMO yes.
  10. I wonder what a draft would be like for this league. "we need a QB but that runningback has a really nice rack"
  11. Of course. Just don't see how not resigning brohm, a completly ineffective qb, makes it likely that a qb will be drafted.
  12. Luck will be the next great QB. if I recall, all the rest were second rate until luck decided to stay. Thats when newton became a franchise QB overnight.
  13. I agree, IMO he'll improve with a better offensive line. then again i'm no expert. There it is.
  14. Living in australia we get alot of NFL football because the sport is getting increasingly popular here. however, we never get to see any college football. whats next years quaterback crop like after luck? any quaterbacks that would allow the bills to concentrate on other needs and ride fitz for another season or two? Chan and Buddy seems pretty high on him. Sorry to be off topic i hit the back button first and thought i was still in the cam newton thread.
  15. I think it's the 50th time i've read this in a draft thread. It's fast becoming a TBD cliche.
  16. Sorry if this has been posted already, I checked the wall to a certain degree. I thought you might like this.
  17. I'm happy with Fitz. He needed to complete an extra 10 passes over the entire season to hit that magical 60% completion percentage. I put those ten passes, if not more, down to the O-Line alone.
