  1. now that he's done cleaning up the mess he created....(lol...sarcasm) he already tipped his hand on adding a new DT & Safety
  2. if the bet is week 1 of 2024 regular season.....take the bills......easy money
  3. unlikely anyone signs him until he's fully recovered if he did sign soon, would be incentive laden on playing time and the team probably wouldn't activate him in 2024. after checking his options......i bet he comes back as a bill in 2025
  4. "totally off the books" ?? ....... is not the way i look at it. anything under the heading "DEAD CAP" is on your books. it's money deducted from your total cap for players not on your team. you can't use it . it counts against you. diggs current DEAD CAP for 2024 is $49.6 mil. sure if you designate "june 1" you can split that up over 2 season (2024 & 2025). wether its one or two seasons, it's too much. to me, it makes no sense to do that. his cap hit is $27.8 in 2024 and $27.3 in 2025 you would save very little money. the most likely scenario if you were inclined to part with diggs is AFTER the 2025 season. his dead cap would be $13.4
  5. diggs samuel kincaid shakir cook rookie (i just think they ease him in) knox hollins
  6. diggs isn't mr innocent in all of this. he knows anything other than the company line will create an umm...."distraction". yet he persists. but the teams hold most of the power. it's a ruthless cut throat business where you go from the penthouse to the outhouse in a blink. as i have previously mentioned, diggs has a clause in his contract where his 2024 salary fully guarantees 03/17/2024 (yesterday). i'm sure his agent was seeking clarity and beane was non committal. he hears from "sources" he's in play and may be moved. it's unsettling. "ready for watever" ..... is acknowledgment of the uncertainty
  7. diggs is an absolute elite stud. anyone who commands constant double teams is worth their weight in gold. unfortunately our WR2 was a complete failure on so many levels. that should change in 2024 with the additions of Samuel and hopefully pick #28. expect to see a motivated diggs prove his detractors wrong
  8. #1 - ATL added QB Kirk Cousins, WR Darnell Mooney, WR Rondale Moore #2- WASH smart. added Running back Austin Ekeler (two years, $11.43 million), guard Nick Allegretti (three years, $16 million), center Tyler Biadasz (three years, $30 million), edge rusher Clelin Ferrell (one year, $3.75 million), linebacker Bobby Wagner (one year, $6 million in guarantees), linebacker Frankie Luvu (three years, $36 million) and safety Jeremy Chinn (one year, $4.1 million). #3- PIT adding those two QB's on the cheap. QB Russell Wilson, LB Patrick Queen, CB Donte Jackson (acquired via trade with Panthers), WR Van Jefferson, QB Justin Fields HM: GB, HOU, PHI
  9. wouldn't it be great if pit used their first round pick on a QB....lol
  10. fields is counting $3.22 cap hit to Pit for 2024 fields is counting $2.77 dead cap to Chi for 2024
  11. Fields 5th yr option is $25.664 million got til may 2nd to decide
  12. shakir caught 86% of his targets.....he is very under rated Samuel caught 68% of his targets.....but yea, he's better than shakir it's true that wash primarily had samuel line up in the slot....but that was because of the other wash wr's. he can play the outside with ease hopefully the bills still use their first round pick on a future WR1. that puts samuel as the guy who moves all over. the only thing this offense would be missing is a true center. i'm not a fan of moving mcgovern over and replacing him with edwards.
  13. that'll work out to about $10 mil per game....lol
  14. YEAR / CAP / DEAD / SAVINGS 2024 /$27.8 /$31.1 / (3.3) 2025 /$27.3 /$22.2/ $5.1 2026 /$28.4/$13.4/ $15.0 2027 /$22.5/$4.5 / $18.0 2028 / UFA just based on the dead cap, the contract says we keep diggs for 2024 & 2025. think about moving on in 2026 or 2027. based on talent, with the addition this season of a legit WR2, i think diggs will return to elite status. if however, he doesn't want to be here or is gonna be a constant distraction......that's another set of calculations. you could justify making 2024 his last. taking a big hit in 2025....but freeing up big space in 2026 & 2027.
  15. "ready for watever" most likely means the bills have not indicated to him or his agent if he will be on the team in order to trigger this clause in his contract: 2024 salary fully guarantees 03/17/2024 he may know he's in play to be moved if the right offer comes along. maybe he cares so much that his self defense mechanism makes him act like he doesn't care. obviously everyone is better off if he says nothing.
  16. doesn't trade partner gain an extra year of team control at the end (just one year later)......both picks have the exact same equal time of team control....they just start and stop in different years. only a GM who is confident he will be around for more than the current year would push off picks to the future. Conversely a GM who felt he was on the hot seat might mortgage the future and trade away future picks to improve immediately. then you get into the speculative part where Hou may say Minn with a rookie QB will likely finish with a worse record in 2024 and that 42nd overall this year might become a 37th next year. theoretically Hou gave up a pick valued at 780 for picks valued at 900... that "could" go higher if minny struggles (of course they could go lower). Carolina traded the 10th overall to chicago and several picks that included a future #1 that turned into this years #1 overall because Car struggled with a rookie QB. Hou regime is confident. Minny regime lost cousins and is desperate to move up in draft to get a QB now. is last years #1 overall pick more valuable than this years #1 ? without the hindsight of knowing who was picked.....the answer to me is NO, they are equal.
  17. at best beane moves up a few spots in first round any talk of going up to top 10 is fantasy i say he keeps his 1st & 2nd round picks. we dont have a 3rd. uses the rest to move up. this team badly needs a real Center and a DT3. then a safety & WR. the center & WR will be from rounds 1 & 2. the DT & S from 4th round or Free Agent
  18. Diggs 2024 salary fully guarantees 03/17/2024 maybe he's getting anxiety not knowing if he will stay or go who knows what beane has or hasn't told his agent
  19. played with SF last year PFF rank #64 of 130 interior defenders (DT's) #81 Tim Settle #129 Jordan Phillips
  20. i wonder why.....could probably play another couple years
  21. WR guru gushes over Buffalo Bills signing Curtis Samuel: ‘What an upgrade over Gabe Davis!’ https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/other/wr-guru-gushes-over-buffalo-bills-signing-curtis-samuel-what-an-upgrade-over-gabe-davis/ar-BB1jX4qq
  22. i dont buy into the rule you downgrade next years pick is next years #1 worth less than this years #1 ? (only if some generational QB was avail in either) is next years #28 overall worth less than this years #28 ?.....i say no, they are equal lets say vikings move up to #5 whats stopping another qb needy team, say denver moving up to #4 ? thats why alot of these trades happen during the draft and not days/weeks ahead
  23. two early second round picks are better than one late first when you factor in talent vs salary cap
  24. the current weakest starter on team is CENTER leave mcgovern at guard and get a real center
  25. i love me some Dhop......i helped get to hundreds of pages... Dhop signed with TEN for 2 yr / $26 mil / AAV $13 / 2024 cap of $18.3 / runs 4.57 / elite hands / 31 yo Samuel signed with BUF for 3 yr / $24-30 ? / AAV $8-10 / 2024 cap of $8.0 ? / runs 4.31 / swiss army knife like deebo / 27 yo younger, cheaper, faster
