  1. I agree completely Joe. Even though I just ripped into Mayweather's body of work, he's still a supreme talent. I think he has the power to hurt Manny too. Truthfully, I think this could be an epic fight. Manny's quickness and style will force Mayweather into action and both guys are capable of hurting the other. In the end I believe Mayweathers defense would be the difference. I see Mayweather landing cleaner shots and avoiding the huge punch. ..... of course nobody applie pressure like Pacquiao and i wouldn't put any money on this fight.
  2. +10000000 Manny has stated he'd give blood immediately after the fight. It's well known in boxing that Pacquiao doesn't feel well after giving blood. Manny's loss to Eric Morales was partially attributed to that and Manny went on to whip Morales twice after that fight. It hass little to do with testing and alot to do with Floyd's ducking and dodging. Floyd has been ducking Manny for years now and it has gotten to the point where he can't just ignore him anymore. Manny is one of many really good fighters Money May has avoided like the plague. He should be fighting guys like Williams, Berto, Pacquiao, and Cotto but instead we get Baldomir, a washed up De La Hoya, an over the hill and overmatched Gatti, Hatton, and handful of other fighters that offered very little risk. Don't get me wrong, Floyd is supremely talented but his career path is about money and self promotion. The fans have yet to see Floyd in the ring with a hungry and up to the task opponent and it's not because they don't exist. Floyd is the best example of why boxing is ruined. He is an amazing fighter and his career has been a sham. The average fan doesn't realize that so many great fighters have remained unknown because the sport is so corrupt. Nobody in boxing wants to see the cash cow that is Mayweather, taken apart by an animal like Andre Berto. That is why we are getting to see Roy Jones and Bernard Hopkins fight as geezers and not in their prime. Roy Jones beat Hopkins when they were at the beginning of their careers and used that as an excuse to never fight him again despite the fact Hopkins went on to be undefeated for 12 years. It's a joke.
  3. Come on Bama, you can't be serious. You literally couldn't listen to a sports talk show this week without it being discussed at great length and this story hasn't even taken form yet. Your argument certainly seemed plausible at first but after seeing Ben get bombarded this week, I have to disagree. Multiple shows this week have interviewed different Pittsburgh media people and the consensus has been that Ben is a real tool. I'm sure others here already knew this but it was news to me. Ben has quite the reputation around Pittsburgh and even amongst his teammates and Steelers organization. I guess he is quite the primadonna and has a blatant sense of entitlement. Hines Ward kind of ripped into him in an interview one time and I guess it was an accurate representation of how many of the players feel. All this stuff doesn't mean the allegations are true but he is certainly taking a beating right now.
  4. Looks like Poz has been working those legs this offseason.
  5. Good point, the so-called role models in this story aren't really doing these girls any favors.
  6. TO will definately land somewhere. I think he would be a nice compliment in a number of places. Personally, I think Houston, Chicago, Tennessee, San Fran, and Atlanta all make sense for him.
  7. That pretty much sums up what the gay crowd went through in my highschool. Same era in fact, because I met Marilyn Manson and The Spooky Kids at the HOG. The good news is, I think kids are becoming more and more tolerant with each generation. My fiance's brother is gay and he came out in junior high. He recently graduated highschool and was definately one of the more well liked kids. His graduation party had every click imaginable, including jocks and all the alpha males of the school. Pretty cool to see, considering what many of us probably witnessed.
  8. IMO, Stroud is not the same player he was in Jacksonville. I don't know whether or not it's him breaking down, the system he was in, or the difference in support but he hasn't made a consistent impact in Buffalo yet. I think he is a good player still and is very likable, so I'm happy he's here. I also think he is one of a few guys that stand to benefit greatly from the defense change. I believe Stroud has mentioned that he knows he's not a 3-4 NT. If you look around the league most 3-4 NT are in the 6'0 - 6'2 range and thick. It's not about strength and toughness, Stroud isn't built to get low and anchor in that defense. At 6'6 he doesn't have the leverage, so DE will fit him just right I think.
  9. Sorry I didn't pick up on the wording. I don't recall exactly what Cowturd said, but like most fans I think I just hear work stoppage whenever this garbage comes up.
  10. Cowherd said that the lack of free agent signings is a good indication that the owners believe a lockout is realistic or likely. Doesn't that view support your link? Also, to the OP. I heard that segment on his show today and was going to bring it up as well. I found Keith Bullock's interview very interesting. Bullock seemed to be in agreement with Cowherd and made it seem like everyone around the league is bracing for a lockout.
  11. I've heard of him! I don't know a thing about him though. What are the negatives (besides Fordham)?
  12. Green and Williams seem like they would have been obvious fits for this team. Who knows if the Bills tried to reach out to them or not? IMO, expect the Bills to be inactive in FA for a couple of years. I really think they intend to build through the draft and add FA after a core is built. They have insinuated that this is their plan and style.
  13. Yup, the girl probably has no idea she's as big as a house. Oprah should have pointed that out to her on national television, you know to "save her life." Howard just wanted to take his shots at her, nothing else. He also hates Oprah and loves to tee off on her as well. I've got no problem with his show and it's style but not having heard the context, I'm guessing he wasn't really coming from a concerned place. Hopefully, that girl does what she has to do. She needs to drop a person or two.
  14. I've never seen the show but I heard a group of teenagers talking about it yesterday afternoon. Two of them were arguing which gang is better and the third was pissed he hadn't caught the show yet.
  15. Does the name Cornell Green mean anything to you?
  16. The word you are looking for is dominate. As in, the English language and word formation dominates Billsfan=pain.
  17. I'm rooting for Tebow in general. As I have stated in the past, my rooting interest has come full circle. I liked him alot when he first played as a backup to Chris Leak. I liked him even more when he first started having success as the full time starter. My rooting interest started to slip, when ESPN made it TIM TEBOW all the time. I even started to root against the Gators and Tebow just because I was tired of it. Now, with the majority of observers doubting him, I hope he succeeds again. It's what we do best, build something up, rip it down, and then root for the build up again. A good Tim Tebow would be nice for the NFL and great for a franchise. I'm like everyone else, and dislike the idea of Tebow in round 1, anywhere after that I'd be good with. Eitherway, I'd be in his corner and would be on board. A good Tim Tebow would mean more to Buffalo than just his play on the field. The team hasn't had a genuine star in a long time. I don't really count TO's one season. It would be exciting to see him try to pull it off.
  18. Agreed on all accounts. I'm all for a veteran presence on the team so long as they can play up to the level of their contract. I don't think Holt can play anywhere near that contract anymore. If he wants to coach, hire him as a WR coach.
  19. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3955441 I'm not sure why he wasn't charged with it. Lynch might have been cooperative with them and they let it go. The small amount of weed probably didn't concern them, I guess. Some people have in the past speculated that it was a complete fabrication on the police officers part (not saying you).
  20. Are you kidding me? If you're being serious, you should be embarrassed.
