  1. Your what's wrong with people today, one word ENTITLEMENT!

You go find the job that pays you what you think your worth.

You don't go back and give 50 %, do you?

Dude you need to wake up and get out of fantasy land!! This is the NFL and you pay your players what their worth or Else!!!!

To say Peters purposely sabotoged his team and himself is about as idiotic as wanting to trade him. The bottom line is he held out (per advice of his agent) didnt get into shape until much later in the season and had a tough time as a result of it. I don't blame Peters, All along I thought that we needed to pay him what he is worth and get him into camp. But we didn't and as a result we had Peters play very mediocre football this year.

  2. Not even close.

    That you, Eugene?

    Your right, It's not close

If you were to ask pro football players and coaches who is our best player on our team, I guess you would have to look at the pro bowl selection to get that answer.

    Another Moron

wanting to trade away our best talent :pirate:

  3. ya I'd like to see him in a Bills uniform. But I definitely wouldnt trade Lynch for him :pirate:

He did cry like a biotch tho!! Pretty tasteless without class. How can you start a scene and cry while your team is trying to drive down the field (successfully btw) for the winning drive to go to the superbowl?

THen he doesn't even celebrate with his team and runs off the field and cries like a lil baby.

I'm sure what made it even worse was seeing Larry Fitzgerald ripping it up, getting all the praises, while he's been sitting the bench watchin it all happen. I gotta believe that Larry's success added to his lil biatch tantrums

  4. You guyz are real geniuses!!! Wanting to trade our best player on our team....

Ya, he is sooooo greedy, he only cares about making money, God forbid he wants to get paid fair market value. I blame the front office for not resigning him earlier, if they would of been willing to talk with peters during the offseason, there would of been a better chance that he would of gotten into camp earlier than he did. Lets see here, he gets paid about $3Mill a year and players of less calibur are getting payed $8 Million a year. He is the 3rd or 4th highest paid Offensive lineman on the team. Hmmm, ya

    Sounds fair? No

He hired one of the top agents in the league, and the advice he got from his agent was to hold out.

Lets see here, you fire your previous agent and hire one of the best. So what do you do? Follow the advice of your Top agent that has secured the financial careers and made bookooo bucks for many players in this league or decide he is a dumbass and go against what he recommends.

As much as I hated the hold out, players and agents in American professional sports go after the money. You pay to play!!! If you don't pay, You lose.

We didnt pay Peters, he held out, and had a subpar year at our expense and his.

    Everyone loses.

People want to get rid of Trent, people want to trade Lynch, trade Peters get rid of Poz. Amazing all the idiotic posts that are posted.

    :pirate:

  5. Hang on, I've got an even better idea: instead of trying to find a way to get rid of good players, why don't the Bills KEEP THE GOOD PLAYERS THEY HAVE AND GET A REAL QUARTERBACK.

Everything else will fall into place if the guy behind center can play. And by play, I mean play well against good teams; not have slightly-above-average games against the worst teams in football (Edwards) or look like a spastic fool most of the time (Losman).

Alright, cue the idiosyncratic posters that will tell me how bad the rest of the team is and that Edwards is amazing.

I agree with the idea of not trading our good players, but totally disagree with your perception of Trent Edwards. He is a keeper and is gonna be a really good one for us for years to come . 'patience young grasshopper'

  6. Boldin tremendously upgrades our WR spot...The dropoff from Lynch to Jackson is minor...so we take a minor (and even thats debateable) hit at RB and MASSIVELY upgrade WR which is a much harder position to fill in the first place...

    The dropoff is minor?????

How did you come to this conclusion? I would love to have to Boldin, but not at the expense of Lynch.

I can see it now, The Bills QB happens to not throw to Boldin enough (in his view) he starts complaining and running his mouth, then everyone here on this message board will be suggesting that we trade Boldin for someone else.

Lynch has shown heart, dedication, production. He is a keeper, we Build around him not look to shop him.

  7. Genius!!!

Trade Peters, Trade Lynch our two best offensive players...

As much as I would love to have Boldin, I would never think about trading Lynch for him. Maybe 2009 2nd round 3rd round pick and a 2010 2nd rounder.

Lynch right now is the heart and soul of this offense and I wouldnt be surprised to see him be a probowler next year.

    I've got a good concept,

Let's build around our stars, not trade them.

Peters, Lynch, Evans and Edwards. These are the one's we need to build our team around.

  8. One of the Dumbest things that the Bills could do this offseason is to look to shop Peters around. I don't care what any one says, he is our best offensive player that we have and I'm pretty sure the rest of the NFL agrees with that. The only way that I would trade him is if someone approached us and looked to over pay and that we get some serious compensation for him.

Hopefully the Bills will do the right thing and look to lock him up to a big multiyear contract Yesterday!! Let's get er done!!

  9. I agree 10000000000000000000000% about Kelsay. He'll probably be a good coach one day because he sure acts like more of a leader than a dominant pass rusher.

The guy made stole $5,000,000 this past year which is RIDICULOUS.

If we bring in a few guys, this guy surely has to go and I don't care if he was one of our defensive captains.

As for Schobel, we may be stuck with him because of his salary, the cap hit, and his tenure on the team. I think the front office believes he can still be a force if he's healthy. Big if, right? I don't think you can cut him. He should be here next year and if he doesn't perform up to his contract, then you part ways with him next year. Can't just cut everyone...

To say he stole $5,000,000 is RIDICULOUS

it was not his decision to be OFFERED a big contract from the Bills Brass. Which also had a huge residual effect in Schobel's over paid contract as well. The guy is a good guy who works hard. If you are to blame anyone it is the front office of the Bills who made the offer. It's not his fault that he isn't that talented. He is what he is, which is a hard working player that has little talent.

I say we cut the guy and look for bigger and better things.

  10. It is his job to change the culture, the perception and the mind set of players they want to acquire. If that means over paying slightly for a Tony Gonzalez or a player like Wake, so be it. they created the mess and now its their job to get through it. If your happy with effort and not results, knock yourself out.

How is anything going to change if the Bills keep settling for players without any other option?

While he's at it, it is his job to change the weather climate!

  11. (I am editing this post to hopefully help reduce some of the pointless responses)

I was informed today that by someone close to the Matt Cassel situaton, that NE is franchising Matt Cassel because of concerns about him going to someone in the division, including Buffalo as there is (or was) apparent strong interest in Matt Cassel from the Buffalo Bills.

They decidied to franchise him to keep him out of the division, including Buffalo, and told him they would explore trade scenarios OUTSIDE the division if both him and Brady are healthy going into next season. It was not indicated to me WHO would be the topic of trade scenarios in the situation, Brady or Cassel, but my impression was they were referring to trade scenarios involving Matt Cassel, but who knows.

So, the most interesting part of this for me is the obvious...how much (or how little) faith do the Bills have in Trent despite what they say pubilcly and do you think this opens up the possibility of the Bills doing something not really expected right now and going with a QB on the first day of the draft, maybe even at #11 if Sanchez falls? Or maybe even look to make a big play in FA or on the trade market to bring in a QB to compete with Trent as opposed to just a backup?

    i dont believe your source

  12. I have no idea what Peppers means or wants. He wants to go someplace where he can develop to his full potential, yet in Carolina he's been a perennial pro-bowler on one of the best defenses in the league?

I think this is just posturing to avoid the tag and get a long-term deal, most likely from Carolina.

    :wallbash:

    we have a winner!!

He would even come to Buffalo if the price was right!!

As the previous poster had suggested, cutting Kelsay and Schobel to make this happen could be a good option. I wonder what the salary cap implications are of cutting Kelsay and Schobel? how much would the Bills be liable on these two contracts and what would their salary cap hits be?

  13. Poz I thought was a very consistent player for our team, very solid, I hope to see him become more of a playmaker for us like Mitchell, and I'm sure there were many behind the scenes and intangibles that he adds to our defense. It is something definitely to build on.

  14. Big whoop.

If it's not his shoulder it'll be something else next year.

I never jumped on the "he's injury prone" bandwagon but I'm there now.

He's a good quarterback who has the potential to become great but unfortunately he'll continue to miss 20% of his games.

I believe this is the biggest risk to the future of the Bills and Trent's Career. There is no doubt in my mind that if he can lead a healthy non injury prone career that he will play in many playoff games in his career. I think it is imperative for the Bills to have a ball control style offense that consists of a heavy dose of running the ball and lots of max protection. If we can run the ball effectively, have an offensive game plan with a purpose and protect Trent, I'm sure we will win many more football games.

  15. I don't know if he will be a good quarterback or not in the pro's and as far as him being ready for the NFL, he probably could use another year in college, but with Bradford and Tebow staying, it probably was the right financial decision for him to turn pro. You can't take things for granted, he ended his college career on a very impressive note, and I'm sure some team will draft him reasonably high.
