  1. I understand your point but disagree. Indy has Freeney, Sanders, even Mathis and they sucked Defensively this year. Yes Tampa made it work when they had Sapp and Carter but that was 5-10 years ago when it was real effective, I feel the league has caught up to it and it is no longer a good viable option. If Chicago cant make it work this past year with Urlacher and Harris what chance do we have.

I'm sorry, who is rushing the passer for Chicago?? And btw, The colts gave up less passing touchdowns then any one in the NFL.

  2. Let's see how everyone will feel when he passes away. At least he didn't sell out when his team was one of the least profitable in the entire NFL, with one of the most stagnant and declining markets. You know how much the rest of the NFL teams and owners are salavating for the Bills to sell their franchise to Toronto in their booming, growing market. Be careful for what you ask for, cuz you might just get it!!!

  3. I don't think I've seen so many terrible ideas clustered into one thread. Marshawn Lynch being traded????? Thats a horrible idea. Fred Jackson????? Another bad idea!! Denny Being traded, thats another terrible idea. Kelsay??? No body will take him with that price tag attached to him. Mcgee??? Then who will we have as our DB's, we're not going to pay Greer $8 million a year. Schobel, that would be a terrible idea, if teams new that we were shopping him around, that would be an ommission that there is something really wrong with him, and we would get little value if any, especially with his price tag. Best thing to do with Schobel is give it another year and take it from there. Peters?? The only way I would trade Peters is if we got more than a 1st round pick for him, it's too hard to get this sort of talent. Pay the big man his money.

Dockery??? Lots of bashing on Dockery lately, He isn't as bad as everyone says.

Roscoe Parrish is the only one I realistically say we can trade. He doesn't produce much WR wise, but he does have value as a returner.

  4. I definitely feel that a center is a MAJOR priority, look at all the dominant 3-4 nose tackles that man handled our interior line. All the 3-4 teams had their way with us and I have to believe that having a top notch center would help us in that area. I'm not sure if it is our MOST glaring need but it ranks right up there with a super edge pass rushing DE

  5. This guy is sick!! I've been watching him play week in and week out for the last 2 years, and I'm convinced that he will be a future pro bowler!!! As much as I would like to see Steve Johnson and James Hardy compete for a significant wide reciever role on our team, I believe it would be very difficult to pass on Hakeem Nicks in the second round.

  6. quarterback???? Trent Edwards is gonna be one hell of a quarterback!! Taylor Mays is tempting, but we have to many other glaring needs. It all depends on what we do in Free Agency. If we resign Crowell, pick up a center through Free Agency like Birk and a pass rusher (suggs), I wouldnt be opposed to Taylor Mays, then Cody in the second round.

  7. Ok...

    Kelsay

    Royal

    Roscoe

    Fowler

    Preston

    Ko Simpson

    JP Losman

Greer will be too expensive to resign (even though it would be nice to have him back)

    McCargo

Possibly Peters if we can get lots of draft choices.

Give Schobel one more year to see if he can get it going

Give contract extension now to Youbouty and Fred Jackson before they get expensive.

    .

Pick up Birk through FA and draft Mack to lock up our centers.

Pick Up Suggs!!! Suggs I say!!!

Resign Crowell to a 2 year deal and reevaluate that position again next year.

and Draft a high quality TE, either Gresham or Coffey

  8. This thread is based on the incorrect assumption that Ralph is actually committed to winning.

Ralph has adequately proven that he is just content to "keep his foot in the door" of the NFL to maintain the franchise, and sell at a huge profit when his number is up. His front office and personnel decisions prove that he no longer has a sufficient commitment to win anymore. The economics of the NFL have passed him by, PERMANENTLY.

Ralph has made himself a lame duck in the NFL from now on, and in the process has also made the entire franchise a lame duck. The only type of real football man who would go to, or stay with the Bills is one who is marginal at best (Brandon, Guy) or one who has already decided this will be his last stop before retirement (Modrak). Anyone else with a hope of a future in the NFL would NEVER be attracted to and stay in Buffalo - you would be branded as a loser.

Did you notice that Ralph's statement said nothing about "doing everything it takes to win"? Nope, it said we will not be complacent. It was a very defensive, tepid, "really, I won't just sit here and do nothing" kind of statement.

OK, so he won't do nothing. Great. That is a far cry from saying "we will do what it takes to win."

What i found discouraging from RW's comments is that he didn't say anything about improving our team through free agency. He said throught he draft and expects more veteran leadership. I really hope that he plans on making a splash with a big off season acquisition. Suggs hint hint

  9. Peters' trade value is a 1st and a 3rd. It's pretty clear he's played his last down for the Bills and other teams know that.

Watch that Oklahoma TE. He is amazing. and he can block.

The silver lining of the Jauron extension might be that ownership (I refuse to name him) knows the fans are pissed and they're going to have to do something with this team to get 60,000 at home games next year. perhaps that means they'll be active in free agency and/or on draft day.

    I agree!!

  10. Are you kidding me? These players want to get paid; that's it.

As for Suggs though, why again would we want him? He's a 3-4 OLB-- he wouldn't work here as an end unless we changed the scheme, which we won't.

Originally coming out of college he was a Defensive End, and if you remember he was the premier pass rusher in college. So i don't see the transition being a difficult one.

  11. I believe our most pressing need is another pass rusher to go along side Aaron Schobel. The defense would be so much better all around if we had a strong pass rush. We would create more turnovers through interceptions, fumbles through sacks and a mind set from the opposing quarterbacks that they'd have to get rid of the ball quicker allowing more turnover and hurried opportunities. I would love to see Julius Peppers in Bills Uniform, but probably would be too much $$. Terrell Suggs would be very expensive as well, but if we can spend 7 million a year for Dockery, then I think we can splurge 8-9 million a year for a ferocious pass rusher like Suggs. Plus we could Cut Kelsay, that would free up some room and It would be a nice way for Ralph Wilson to show his commitment to winning since he dropped the ball on Jauron.
