Over the course of the last 5+ seasons, the Bills have the fewest of those wins in the NFL since their average game is nearly a 10 point win. Yes, you read that right. Not their average WIN. THIER AVERAGE GAME, including all losses since 2020, is a win by 9.5 points. That is so absurd it's to the point of almost incredulity. Like you almost want to go back and start adding up the totals because you don't think that could be right.
The 2nd place team in that category over that timeframe are the Ravens at 6.72, which means the difference between the Bills and the 2nd place Ravens is larger than the difference between the Ravens and the 6th place 49ers.
Is there something that you think is fundamentally changing this year in that? Doubtful. They have what some are saying is the easiest remaining schedule in the NFL.
But our wide receivers can’t separate-

Ronald Curry, only been here since 2024 and never been a play caller at any level. If Brady leaves in 2026 I would suspect they would want an experienced OCI'd assume this to be the case as well UNLESS he has truly demonstrated a mastery of the game and earned the confidence of McD/Beane.

So what do you want? To pay him 15M and lose McGovern or Torrence? We also have much more potential on offense this year with Coleman Year 2, Kincaid Year 3, Palmer & Moore vs Rookie Coleman, injured Kincaid, Cooper and Hollins.
Even if the Bills had paid Cook $15M a year it would not be determinant for the Bills retaining those guys.
This isn't an either/or situation.

Yeah! Totally worth all the money he was paid and some! You don’t quibble over a couple million and let them potentially walk like many were willing to do when you have a certified playmaker.
Glad we have him locked up for the next few years.

Many game balls for this one.
Josh Allen - Best player in the NFL
Offensive line - Did a great job pass blocking, I think early on Josh felt that he needed to get the ball out quickly because he thought that he needed to. But once he realized that he actually had more time to throw the ball then he initially thought he didn't just have to dink the ball behind the LOS like he was.
Keon Coleman - He's a baller, if it wasn't for his injury last year he would have had a much better year. He doesn't need the separation that other receivers needs, he just need to continue working his craft, stay healthy and the numbers and impact will be there.
The Tight ends - All three of them did well blocking and making their impact felt catching the ball at important times and areas in the field. Could end up becoming the best Tight end room in the NFL
Ed Oliver - He was simply unreal. 7 tackles, 3 TFL, A sack, a few pressures (including the last third down the Ravens offense had in the game) and of course the huge PLAY MAKING caused fumble on King Henry. That's why he was worth every bit of that $17M a year contract.
Bosa - Yeah, he was getting fooled early on those Lamar option runs and he didn't have any real numbers but he made his presence felt on a couple drives that contributed to the Ravens having stalled drives. If he stays healthy he's going to be a really good addition.
Prater - He came through like a true professional. I don't know why but I felt more at ease with him kicking the ball than when Bass kicks.
Joe Brady - Keeping the offense humming.

It appears to me that the Bills made a tactical decision to prioritize pass rushing DT's this year, and I'm for it and that is what would be needed against teams like the Chiefs, however I always thought that they needed to go after a highly effective big-bodied run stuffing 1 technique this year and they didn't do that. The rookie Walker has the frame but he's not a true 1 technique. The team that is being built right now has the Chiefs in mind, but clearly the Ravens have their way with the Bills interior defensive lineman.

It's always the same ninny's with the same tired arguments yet the offense keeps plugging away historic-like numbers.
The offense will just continue to keep burying defenses.

Yeah, that read that way didn't it? I should have said from a Dallas fans perspective.

At $47M a year, it's really hard to justify that kind of money for a non-QB. Getting to $40M was already a big leap, but now pushing toward $50M — especially when you're already paying top-tier contracts to CeeDee Lamb and Dak Prescott — it's just not sustainable. And let’s be honest, the current formula wasn’t working anyway.
I’ve felt for over a year now that this team needs to rebuild. They should seriously consider trading Dak after this season and start fresh. Micah is an elite pass rusher and letting go of playmakers is never easy, but there’s a point where the price is just too high. When you’ve got $155M+ AAV tied up in just three players, it’s nearly impossible to build a complete roster.
As a Dallas fan, yeah, it sucks to see a guy like Micah walk. But sometimes you have to do what’s best for the organization long-term. Jerry’s handling of this was clumsy and it’s going to spark a lot of backlash — especially with Micah gone — but I honestly think it was the right move.

It’s painfully obvious that Those who claimed that Ladd is just a slot guy were typecasting him as such. Dude can ball out no matter where he lines up.

The deal was inevitable and it's a good fair valued deal for both sides. Buffalo retains their playmaker and Cook gets the financial security he wanted at fair market value. It's not an over or underpay.
Bills had to get a deal done and they had the leverage the entire time. You just don't let playmakers leave your organization and Cook is without doubt the 2nd best skilled offensive player behind Josh Allen. Glad the deal got done!

Could Beane have handled that better by not sounding as defensive as he did? Absolutely. Honestly, I really don't care because substantively speaking he is 100% correct.
What he said is exactly what I have been arguing with on this board for months. People clamoring to the point of obsession to get a WR, as if it was anywhere near the biggest need on this team. He basically said the exact same things I have been saying which is that the offense has been historically playing at an elite level, and people still obsess that we need a WR over defense. It is borderline asinine. It's ludicrous and makes no logical sense whatsoever.

Absolutely. Both the offense and defense played much better for the second round, and we got a lead and let playoff Lamar take us home lol.
The key to beating the Ravens in the playoffs is ALWAYS get a lead and make Lamar beat you. It was true in 2019 and true today. He’s much better today than he was in 19 but it’s still his Achilles heel.
So seeing as this is your ideal offseason, what is your take if we get 30 pieced by KC again? Just need to allocate more resources to defense?
You keep at it until you fix it. If their defensive picks aren't panning out then I think its time to upgrade your scouting department and talent evaluators on that side of the ball.
No successful organization in any vertical just decides to throw in the towel because what they had been doing in a certain sector wasn't working. They look to continuously address it and if that means that management needs to be reassessed then so be it.
As well as the Bills offense played last year in both the regular season and playoffs is about as good as you can reasonably hope for. Josh Palmer will probably be a lateral replacement for what Amari did with the Bills this past season. However, I think it is very reasonable to expect growth and better production from Kincaid and Coleman. Samuels started to come along as the season progressed. Barring significant injuries, I think you could see the Bills come close to replicating what they did last year and if they do that then it's an absolute home run.

Is the WR group one of the weakest in the NFL? Most likely not but it’s debatable. What isn’t debatable is that the Bills have one of the two best offenses in the NFL and has consistently been at the top year after year.
The offense is in great shape for 2025, that’s not in dispute. Where this team lacks is on defense and I have been arguing on this board for the past 3 months that the vast majority of resources should be spent on the defense and that is exactly what they have done.
So I’m over the moon with the allocation of resources towards the defense. Now it’s just a matter of whether or not the resources allocated are going to pan out.

If someone would have told me that the composition of this draft was going to be CB, DT, DE and DT with the first four picks I don’t think I would have been happier. Just hope they turn out to be good players.

I think I hate seeing Collins at like 335lbs. I think our guy Sanders needs to be 320lbs to make me comfortable. Here’s to hoping Beane knows what he’s doing. Because this draft pick is HUGE
He's not a 1 technique, and it's not about the size. It all boils down to whether or not he will be a good player or not.

Joe should look at how much it matters to put teams in consistent passing downs. You can do that when you have the best run defense in the NFL. We depend on our offense to force other offenses into abandoning the run. Past the divisional round that won’t happen.
Ok, but that wasn't exactly Buffalo's main problem. Buffalo ranked 28th in the NFL on Third downs and dead last in the NFL on 3rd and 7's or longer.
Buffalo's main problem on defense were third downs.

Some of the takes on Sanders in this thread are uninformed.
I keep reading he's an Ed Oliver type, first off we would be lucky to get another Ed Oliver but with that said his comp isn't Ed Oliver. Ed Oliver is 6'1, Sanders is 6'4.
Second, I keep reading that he's another typical smallish DT. That's flat out false.
He's a much bigger man who played at 300 this past year and was 305 for his Pro Day. He very likely will be playing at 305-310. 6'4 at 305-310 is a good sized DT.
If you look at Philadelphia's line, it's mainly comprised of guys who are not that large who are getting lots of pressure. That is Buffalo's archtype which is the same as Philadelphia's. The main difference is the guys they have drafted have gone on to have better careers than the ones the Bills have.
I don't know if Sanders will turn out to be a good player but that is who they targeted and he is by no stretch a smallish DT. He's actually a large 3 technique DT.

Agree with your points, but I'm concerned about 1T and believe it was ridiculous to be coveting Sanders like this FO is. Re: 1T, after they drafted Carter we thought the Bills would take one later, but never did. Seems a wasted pick here with so many needs.
I think what matters most is if he will end up being a good player or not. Doesn’t matter as much that we have other 3 techniques, if he plays well he will get a lot of playing time.-

A few things:
- They traded up for him. Meaning the Bills wanted him, they didn’t settle for him. Doesn’t mean he will be a good pick but they went and got their guy.
- He’s not a guy who plays in his 280’s. He got that low to have better workout numbers. He will be more of a 300-310 in the pros.
- This is a deep draft for DT’s. There are still 5-6 other 1 techniques that are available and could end up being quality run stuffers in the NFL. I suspect the Bills will get one with one of their next 3 picks.
