Lorenzo Alexander proving the Bills were right...

Because the base doesn't like Hillary the way they like Obama. It's not even close. Obama has undying devotion from the AA community and millennials believe him to be a cool cat. The AA community won't be quite as forgiving to Hillary and millennials do not like Hillary in nearly the same light they see Obama. I see it all the time, I have plenty of liberal friends out west and the support that I've seen for Hillary is almost non existent compared to what it is for Obama. I know she has her loyalists, what I'm saying is that the reservoir of support isn't as deep as it for Obama.

Buffalo Bills - rank 32 in passing yards per game
Magox replied to San-O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, we were favored to beat the Rams. In any case, the OP does have a point in that TT has got to be more consistent with his passing. He's doing a great job making some plays and not turning over the football so in that regards he's succeeding. Now we just need him to make the throws that you'd expect your franchise QB to make, which are the everyday routine 7-10 yard passes and connect a little more on those deeper passes like the one he missed with Woods. -
I don't know, this should be a time where here popularity is going up, partisans should be flocking to her and yet that isn't happening. Obama was stuck in the low 40's for a long time and I can tell you this, she'll never be as popular with her own base as Obama. Obama with as crappy of an economic and FP record as he had should have been in the 30's, but he was beloved by his base and they kept him in the 40's. Clinton has no such reservoir of support, so once things begin to go downhill for her, that support won't be there and she'll fall into the 30's. By the way, look at Obama's approval ratings now, he's in the mid to high 50's. And you know why? Trump and Hillary. People look at these two ***** and think to themselves, "Maybe Obama wasn't so bad?"

Do We Have Any Bernie Sanders Supporters Among Us?

Well, considering that I'm 50% Latino who use to live in South America and now currently resides in Miami, I think I have a pretty good perspective of what Latino's want, and it ain't what you are saying. They are just like any other people you'll meet, they want employment, they want to provide for their families, they want a few luxuries in life to make life more palatable and they want to leave their kids a better life than they had. The only thing that is different between you and them is culture. I support immigration laws. I believe that people who come to this country should have to go through the immigration process to become legalized. What I do not agree with is immigrants that have been here for a while, I don't believe in shipping them back home. I don't believe that the tone and disparaging remarks that much of the GOP base towards Latino's are acceptable. Which is too bad, because with the right inclusive tone, with a reasonable immigration stance, such as something similar that they had tried to pass in the Senate, the GOP could be winning 40% + of the Latino vote. The only real thing that I didn't agree with what they tried to pass was the citizenship element of it. Legalization, yes, citizenship, no. But the Republican base was never going to allow any sort of legalization whatsoever. Hence the challenging electoral map. -
Most politicians are political opportunists but she takes it to another level. There is no conspiracy here as you note, simply put her positions sway with the wind. She has no core, other than what is best for her political career, even though she does have a tendency for interventionism. She comes from the school of triangulation, it got her into trouble thinking that a more hawkish view would help garner her votes with independents, turned out she miscalculated her own party's base view of the Iraq war and the emergence of Obama. Now she's trying to remake herself into some sort of progressive champion, she is no such thing. She's a lousy candidate, but she's got a hell of a turnout machine at her side and a godsend of an opponent. I predict she will end up being one of the most unpopular first-term presidents we've seen in a very long time. It wouldn't surprise me to see her approval rating slump into the 30's before her first year is out.

2017 Alexander, Woods, Brown>Gilmore
Magox replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Gilmore is a top 10-15% starting corner, but he's wanting top 1% corner money. He's not worth that, I believe we have a decent prospect in Seymour and decent depth and if we were to draft a couple more db's, we probably would be better served using that money for other players. -

That's odd, because you've made it abundantly clear that you worry about Muslims instilling Sharia Law here in the US and that all Mexicans resent Americans and feel entitled to all benefits that we are privy to. That is a very unBerny like position you hold there. He believes in open borders and would scoff at your fear of Muslims and Sharia Law here in the US -
Yes, and fear of the alternative.

Obama's Foreign Policy
Magox replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
So you quote some dude who still is a student at Roosevelt university and you quote his opinions as fact? You're too easy. -
He risked losing a portion of his soft base support, and I think last night's debate helped solidify that support. In regards to the more moderate supporters that are needed in the coalition to win the W.H, I don't think there really is anything he could do to win them over. His only hope is for Hillary to have an extremely low turnout.

The "Rex ruined Mario Williams" crowd looks pretty silly...
Magox replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
So what you are saying is that they need a certain specific coach to succeed. Gotcha! -
It's well-documented on this site that I cannot stand Trump. I think he represents many things that are wrong with humanity. Having said that, he dominated Hillary last night, he put her on the defensive when nearly everyone thought that he'd be on the defensive. Hillary looked shaky and what Trump did was do something that the Republican base has been creaming over, which was tell her to her face in front of the whole country that she's a liar, she's owned by wall street and best of all for the base, that he'd put her in jail and that Bill was a rapist and that his wife attacked those that would say other wise. What he did was stop the bleeding, altered the news cycle and reassured the base. I don't believe he gained any new voters but he lives to fight another day.

It was all in between the 20's. When it counted our defense held up, not to mention that our team was the team that made all the plays. Not only did we win the game, but we deserved to win that game.
-
Shady Robey Lorax Tyrod may have not had his best game, but he didn't turn the ball over and when we got in the red zone, he executed. Darby gave up some pass plays, but it was primarily short stuff and he was solid in his tackling. Plus the heads up on that fake punt was huge.

The pied piper candidates.

It's not just the data, even though I am a data person. It's common sense, anyone who truly looks at things for what they are understands that when the Democrats are successfully able to make it about personal issues they win. When the Republicans are able to make it about the real issues, they generally win. Trump was a god-send for the Democrats and Cruz would have been a gift as well, clearly not as much of a gift as Trump but a gift none the less. Cruz's views were too rightwing for the country. Even though his views on Gay marriage aren't too far off of Rubio's, his delivery and words he's used would have been completely unacceptable to the under 30 crowd. His views on immigration and how it was communicated was too harsh for Latino's. His smarmy way of communicating his evangelical roots and devotion was too much for moderate suburban peeps. In other words, he could have delivered the Republican base in huge numbers, but that's about it. People like Kasich wouldn't have excited the base, but their hate for Hillary would have driven them to the polls, and Kasich would have ran the table against Hillary with undecideds and moderate voters. Rubio would have won almost as many people as Cruz, not quite as much but almost as many from GOP base voters and he would have done better with moderates and suburban peeps because his tone is one of empathy and acceptance, which is a major boost for a GOP candidate in a general election. As Team Clinton said in the Wikileaks findings, Cruz would have been easy to dismantle. I know. I find myself getting in arguments lately with crayonz and a conspiracy theorist. When will I ever learn?

Not told, dummy. Based on actual data, you on the other hand go with Talk Radio data. Other wise known as sheeple info. If you had actually just said, I don't agree with that for so and so reasons without the "lol" or the "certifiable" jab or the (*^*&%^$^#McConnell response to why Cruz didn't win it, then I wouldn't have had to inundate you with all the data that clearly makes you look like the "certifiable" dude here. And the McConnell comment is pure gold! McConnell, who is as popular as hangnail somehow was able to influence who Republican base voters were going to vote for? Do yourself a favor, stop listening to talk radio, just makes you sound stupid.

Again, I'm not interested in your uninformed opinions on this topic.

How is being for Open borders a good reason to vote for her?
-
Because he really isn't that likable, doesn't have much charisma. Not to mention that base voters can't stand him.
