He’s wrong, of course. I have been watching establishment lefties trying to make the same case all day on twitter, because they know it’s a batschitt crazy proposal. BLM has made it very clear this is what they want and now you have white subservient liberals who are now on board. When the next poll comes don’t be surprised to see this garner 30%+ Democratic support. Ive been telling anyone willing to listen that the ship has sailed and the inmates are now in control of the asylum. There will have to be an effort similar to what we saw with the establishment lefties put their foot down to stop Bernie to stop this. But they won’t. Why? Identity politics. They will not cross this constituency. They will have to come to some sort of an agreement appeasement. Most likely less funding of police departments being on their Democratic platform for 2020. And that may not be enough to suffice the inmates.

@Motorin' was wrong. That is exactly what they are doing. They are dismantling the police. Not merely diverting money which has its own risks, but disbanding it. But never fear they have plans in place. Or do they? “Council members said in interviews on Sunday that they did not have specific plans to announce for what a new public safety system for the city would look like. “

The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

If Hospitalization overload occurs that would pose an issue but the idea that the government is going to revert back to more stringent measures is a non starter. The lawsuits would come out hard and heavy and the dictates would be struck down. There is no legal basis to value one cause over another. What these health experts, mayors and Governors did was one of the most destructive things they could have possibly done, which was inject politics thereby undermining everything they had been saying over the past few months. The images of the mass protests and their statements has been noted. Nevermind the amount of possible new infections due directly to the protests that may occur but think of the residual effects of people seeing those images and the hypocritical statements of the elected leaders will cause. You don’t think people will think that this was all a sham and also defy the orders? I can’t tell you how many people that I know through social media that spoke out about it. The lock downs are over and there is no going back. Just now gotta hope that it doesn’t turn out so bad. -

It doesn’t matter anymore. It’s done. The lock downs with the stringent rules were a sham once the health experts, mayors and governors played politics. The rising cases are no justification for any tightening. It is what it is and they just have to do the best they can while things open up. -
These people have lost their damn mind.

Like I said The inmates aren’t running the asylum

I was talking about this with a friend. The political class from the left thinks they can harness this into a voting block. They are wrong, many of these people are radically to the left and entering into the environment if you weren’t radicalized odds are you will be by the time this is over. The left have a real dilemma, do they adopt many of their crazy initiatives and risk losing the suburban vote or do they just give lip service and throw a bone as they always have and risk low turnout? I think they placate more so than they’d like. The patients are running wild and have control of the asylum. There is no satisfying these people.

To not see that there has been massive destruction, arson, looting, injured people and murders as a result of the riots You’d either have to be such boot licking partisan or incredibly naive and has put on the blinders.

This is not a parody This is from an actual New York Times opinion article today. Suggestions on how to coerce your parents into believing what you do. Thought Control #Orwellian

It’s done. There is no more shut down. That ship has sailed. And the more I think about this the more infuriated I am with those frauds.
