There should be a national dialogue in getting back to work
Magox replied to Magox's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Yeah, I have little doubt that it's as a result of the stimulus and the unemployment benefits -
We have rioters who don’t give a flying flip about George Floyd, destroying communities. We have leftist politicians who are knee deep in identity politics and can’t call out things for they are. We have a dishonest press who won’t report what is actually happening. Cities are burning across the country and there is a stunning lack of leadership on all levels of government. Local and state leaders are too feckless and don’t have the stomach to do what it takes to protect their communities and the president is holed up tweeting things watching it all unfold as if he’s a bystander. Where is the law and order? This is beginning to spread to smaller mid sized cities as well. These domestic terrorists won’t stop until they are stopped. Im just pissed with the whole damn thing

Not sure if this was posted earlier. but..... lol

Im not sure how they tally it up but with that sort of rise, I would imagine that it did rise substantially over the past month. Maybe @GG would know -
The Next Pandemic: SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19

Hospitalizations down -
I wish Trump could say the right words but it’s just not in him to galvanize support. He just doesn’t have that ability. With that said, he’s in a bit of a conundrum, if he comes in hard with a heavy handed federal approach, you will see tons of citizen videos depicting Trump’s rule of law picking on and abusing African Americans and the optics are politically risky. On the other hand, during these times there is a huge potential political gain for implementing the rule of law when local and state governments run by liberals are proving to be feckless because they don’t have the political will nor stomach to do what is necessary to protect their communities. That is after all one of the main priorities of our elected leaders is to provide safety to the citizenry. He needs to step up and be the leader of the country because right now there is a huge vacuum across the board and whoever can lead and provide results will be rewarded for it.

Solely? No, not at all. There are plenty of legitimate protesters but the ones who are participating after 9pm are largely there to contribute to the chaos. There are many disparate groups and individuals who are involved and they don’t all have the same motives but make no mistake at the heart of the rioting not protesting but rioting are organized professionals who should be considered as domestic terrorists because their whole objective is to “burn it all down”. And when all these groups are together it makes for a dangerous, contagious Molotov cocktail and nothing good comes out of it. This is a really bad situation and it is happened in over 20 cities last night and tonight will be worse. Im afraid that the only way to contain this will have an end result of lots of blood being shed. My hopes are that their desire to continue on will just burn out but that isn’t likely unless some dynamic steps in. I have been up throughout many hours over the past couple nights watching everything on Twitter and they feel emboldened. And there is nothing anyone on this planet can tell them to make them stop. It’s going to get worse before it gets better.

There are real protesters who are mourning the loss of George Floyd. No doubt about it. However they have been hijacked by a conglomeration of ANTIFA, BLM, university student radicals, young uneducated kids and some of the general populace who want in on the action. and check this out and this
-
Ughh. Apparently he deleted the tweet

This is no longer about George Floyd. His death has been hijacked by Antifa, BLM, college student radicals, young uneducated locals and some of the general populace that want in on the action. But the driving force is coming from the professional activists Antifa/BLM. It’s clear to me that the local and state governments are not up to the task of protecting their communities. I think Trump is going to have to step in and provide military support in conjunction with local and state governments. And then I think they need to begin a federal probe and investigation into who is funding these organized efforts to tear down the communities. And then label them as domestic terrorists and to crack down on them. But first the government has a duty to protect their citizenry and they need to do that now.

Similar to what has been posted earlier but this lends a lot of credence that there could be a surge in sales over the next few months. The key is getting people back to work. I wouldn't be surprised if they do another round of stimulus checks, that is a concession that the R's will probably have to make to the D's for the next bill. -
Trump Wants To Regulate Google

The more I think of this EO, the more I dislike it. It's a Pandora's box and ultimately would lead to a worse platform. Jack really screwed the pooch with this and I don't see how he gets out of this. He should make an about face but the left would crucify him. The pressure certainly is on though because he is considering other solutions Hmmm, maybe that could work in regards to the content that is fact checked. MAYBE. But that still doesn't solve the issue of what gets fact checked. That's how the media's bias used to operate before the age of "resistance journalism". Where reporters would pretend to be objective but the way they showed their bias was the stories they decided to cover. Same thing here, there would have to be some sort of even proportionality to what is fact checked. Because if left to their own devices they will fact check righties at least 75/25 to leftists. -

I certainly hope that they don't have to. But I don't think they are eliminating that possibility. But you are right though, there are political implications. But I do think it's gonna get awfully hairy. -

As you know during these Fed minutes releases, you learn to read in between the lines. The way I read it is that they will do everything that they possibly can to stave off job losses and support the labor markets, meaning they will pull out the all the stops. This economic crisis is probably only in the 2nd inning. If they believe that corporate defaults will lead to a weaker economy, then I think they will do it. You could be right, but my hunch is that this economic crisis will be a rolling crisis and I think they have more tools at their disposal to head these things off. -

Interesting study published in the New England Journal of Medicine that came out today. -
Ok, so now Fauci and WHO are gonna have to retract their thoughts on HCQ, right?? right???? This seems like it could be a scandal.

Whoah! There will be pent up demand. Just got to get them back to work. -
My wife and I had spoken about getting a firearm for some time but truth be told it has always been me who has held back on it. But with what is going on here, my wife is feeling lots of anxiety over seeing this and I think we are going to get one. Largely because of this.

If there was any shred of doubt whether or not Sweden took the right approach, you can officially eliminate that doubt now. They actually grew! -

He's basing a lot of that on The Lancet study and it appears that study's data collection had lots of issues...It's in the HCQ thread. In any case, more on the potential of previous bird flu/SARS and other flu related immunity that could be helpful against fighting COVID 19 -
This is what we're dealing with here.

Here is the Police Department evacuating from their police Department. Here is Justin Trudeau's little love child pretending to be tough Here is the little mayor's decision making process to allow the city to burn Here is the weak mayor's plan on what to do next And here is MSNBC's comedy sketch reenactment of "Nothing to see here folks" The mayor...I just posted it up above. And the Governor apparently is MIA as well. They are too weak to get the job done.
