  1. The question I'd like an answer to, is how in the world are the Chargers first in total offence and defense and have the record they have? You would think their record would be one of the best in the league.
  2. For the life of me, I can't understand what is the big problem with Jason Campbell. He is better than what we have now, and he would not cost us that much. The Bills are not going to want to start a rookie, and the Bills need to look for another veteran QB on their roster. If the price is right, I think it would be a great move. What the Bills need to address is the OL or DL with the first draft pick and get a QB later on in the draft. Unless the Bills brass truly believe in Clauson (if he's there) then they need to draft him. If they don't then address another need, pickup a QB later in the draft and get Cambell in a trade. He can be a "stop" gap for a rookie and may be able to thrive in Gailey's offense. Gailey made Tyler Thigpen look good so anything is possible.
  3. I know every fan has his or her right to like whichever team they like but when I was 15yrs old I could not imagine wearing an Eagles jersey. Every other kid had their hometown team except this kid. This shows the state of the franchise not only nationally but locally. We are becoming a sad, sad story.
  4. The Buffalo Bills are so bad that.... 1. Not even 10 Million dollars a year can lure a proven coach. (Shanny, Cower, Holmgren, Gruden) 2. Earlier in the year, Pisa declined to come here as a free agent. Tony Gonzalez did not want to be traded here. 3. After the T.O. debacle and the comments made by Willis McGhee, I don't know if any free agents worth a darn will want to play for the Bills. 4. The Bills current offensive line probably could not start for UB. 5. The City of Buffalo is less of a joke than the Bills organization. 6. Long time fans are going to stop supporting the team even though they know the only way to keep the team in WNY is to support the team by going to the games. 7. I don't see the Bills making the playoffs anytime soon, even when a team who finished 1-15 made the playoffs the following year, the Bills seem to be three to five years away from making the playoffs. 8. They can't get Toronto to sellout games without giving away tickets for free. 9. The Detroit Lions and the Cleveland Brown franchises have more stability and a better reputation than our beloved Bills. The Bills have officially hit rock bottom and have surpassed the Oakland Raiders as the laughing stock of the NFL. At least the Raiders are in the San Francisco Bay Area, The Bay Area is a beautiful place to live.
  5. I think Mike Vick mad a very dumb comment and if he had to say if all over again he would have used different words. I think he does not understand the power that his words have and people don't want to hear anything but remorse from him. Everyone has to understand that Mike Vick has received death threats, his children have been put in a terrible situation. This is all his own doing, but he is still a human being and this man has kids and a family. For those who say he is still making millions, that is true, but he is many more millions in debt. His contract for 5 plus million for next year is not going to happen. There is no team in their right mind who will give him that much money for the small production he has had this year. He is walking around like OJ did before he was eventually put in a cage, I think Vick has learned his lesson but he is still the same guy. You can't totally change who you are in such a short time, but you can start yourself on the right path and learn not to go back on the wrong path again. I don't agree what he did but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt, he needs to just keep his mouth shut and become the robot everyone wants him to be. Some will never forgive him and that's their choice, but if people want him to become a person who he is not, you'll be disappointed. He is who he is and like any other criminal, his job is to learn from his behaviors, pay his debt to society and refrain from the lifestyle he was living so he can be a productive person in our society. This is all he has to do, and does not owe anything else to anybody.
  6. Since I was a little boy I dreamed of having season tix to the Bills games,as a boy my family could not afford them. Now I can buy season tix but I'm in the military and I'm far from my hometown of Buffalo, NY. If I was in Buffalo, I would renew the season tix because as bad is it is now, if the Bils move it will be even worse. I don't want to imagine life without the Bills. The Bills are Buffalo and life with out them will be terrible. I bleed red, white and blue for my Country and for my Bills. Every team goes through tough seasons, Ralph as always been a below 500 type of owner if you look at his history. I'm not saying we have to support a losing team year in and year out, but by going to the games you are supporting OUR traditions, and our love and passion for the only thing we all have in common in WNY. OUR LOVE FOR OUR BILLS!!
  7. I thought that scared, passive play showed the Bills and the fans that the Bills will continue to be losers. I am a coach myself (basketball) and I felt like it was an easy decision, the D played their butts off. They were dead tired, and could not remain on the field. If you don't get the first down the game is over, if you punt and show no confidence in your offense the game is over. Either way, the head coach lost this game and this sent a terrible message to the team that they were in capable of winning this game and he (the head coach) was just happy with not getting blown out. Although one week does not make a season, but with the way the Bills lost this game may be worse than the loss to New England.
  8. In my opinion, this is not even a contest. ML is a pro bowl running who’s still in his prime; FJ is an up and coming running back who is the better receiver. With the game plan the Bills used, it showcased FJ's ability. He is very good, but when the Bills had Thurman and Kenny Davis, how many people felt that Davis should start over Thurman? This is the comparison I think is the closest to the debate. ML is not a Hall of Famer but he is a starter and a Pro Bowler on most NFL teams, just because he is suspended does not take away his talent. He has carried this organization since he got here, I don't condone his behavior but look at the body of work and you’ll see ML is better and has a better track record than FJ.
  9. No one is down playing his crimes; this is why he went to federal prison. He deserved the punishment he got. With that being said, I am a dog lover. What he did was a sick business, business that harmed animals. He served his time and I am not going to judge him anymore. As long as he contributes back to society I'm ok with him. Hell, my brother went to prison for 15 yrs and he turned himself around, people can change their behavior if they really make an effort to do so. If he doesn't take advantage of his 2nd chance then it's his own fault, why should he continue to be punished after he's already paid the price?
  10. A bullet to the head for killing dog? I admit what he did was wrong, but that is to the extreme. You are more than entitled to your opinion but no human deserves death for killing an animal. Some of these terrible killing methods are common in the dogfighting world. Maybe Vick is the best thing to happen, as far as stopping this practice. Vick was given his sentence and now see what can he to to prevent/stop this terrible sport. He is not the only one who dogfights and maybe now the others will be arrested as well. http://www.fbi.gov/page2/july09/dogfighting_070909.html http://www.azfamily.com/news/homepagetopst...ng.bc690ff.html
  11. Some of you people need to know the facts before you speak. Vick has been suspended indefinitely since July of 2007. Rodger Goodell has not suspended him for two additional games, he is still suspended. This means he has not received a pay check since July of 2007; he has been suspended for over two years. He was still suspended while he was serving time. Rodger Goodell has reinstated or just simply lifted the suspension after two games, because you can’t suspend someone who is already suspended. Get a clue people and get off his back. If he screws up again he will be banned for life and that will be the end of it.
  12. 6-10 is the prediction from Mike and Mike, and I honestly think that is pretty accurate. We as Buffalo fans have to really look back into our history. We were AFL champions in the early years, I'm not sure if that is because Buffalo was a top ten city or not. It seems with the decline of the city in the 70's (which the team stunk) the Bills have been below average. The late 80's and 90's were just lady luck, a perfect storm with a great GM, head coach and no free agency.(those were the days) We were able to breed and keep our best players and they did not leave. Today Buffalo and WNY is struggling to stay afloat. I think the Bills are just taking after the city in which it resides. For all you fans who dislike Ralph, he is correct. We cannot compete in today’s NFL. We are getting passed by and we are not just going to become a ghost town a few years, we are going to lose the Bills unless an owner loves the Bills and is willing to make peanuts in revenue, the Bills are good as gone. So appreciate the losing while it last because it seems that 7-9 and 6-10 will be all we will see for a while. Hopefully Ralph's last ditch effort to insert Tortonto's economy into the bloodlines of the franchise will keep the Bills in WNY.
  13. I'm not sure where you've been for the past 15 years. Tony Dungy is one of the best coaches of this era. He turned around Tampa Bay and the Colts won the Super Bowl. He's a great coach, just because he's willing to give Micheal Vick a chance does not hurt his accomplishments. He would NEVER come here but it sure would be nice.
  14. I not on here to admit flaws, I'm don't have any regarding this issue. Everyone is not going to agree with your opinion and be totally outraged by this behavior. I’ll say again, I do not condone dog fighting at all. I don’t think my family members who practice or have practiced dog fighting in the past are better than anyone else, wrong is wrong. When I was growing up I honestly did not think it was so bad. Once I saw it for myself and the damage it does, I changed my mind. It is dangerous because the dogs that survive are vicious and can hurt people. Don’t get me wrong I don’t want an animal to suffer, but I can’t imagine a vicious pit bull attaching a child or anyone else for that matter. As for my character, I’ve been in the Military for almost 13yrs. I’ve served and continue to serve my Country in an honorable matter. Please refrain from questioning my character, especially if you don’t know a thing about me. I grew up in the lower west side, and the east side of Buffalo. I have friends and family members who have been murdered in cold blood; dog fighting is a little lower on the totem pole in my opinion. I want the practice to stop but to ignore it is a cultural problem would be irresponsible.
  15. What do you mean !@#$ me? Look, I'm just being honest. Dog fighting is a problem in this Country and many people practice it. This is a fact which cannot be denied, and I think the Vick situation is the best thing to ever happen for the awareness of dog fighting. Now maybe more attention can be placed on the prevention of it. Dog fighting is a business, not long ago so was slavery. So a culture is a culture. I can't blame a slave owner for his or her practices because at the time it was what they grew up seeing and doing. Was it wrong? of course. Dog fighting is a culture as well, and it is wrong. What's the difference in the cultures? What about segregation in the Southern States? That was a culture as well. Some people who practiced segregation knew it was wrong but they still did it. Some honestly thought it was acceptable behavior. There are people who really thought dog fighting was ok to do, so don't blame one guy. This is much, much bigger. The entire culture has to be stopped not just one guy.
  16. I think Mike Vick is on the road to recovery, I think he had a great interview. He did not run from questions and he was honest. I believe the reason so many people are upset is because dog fighting was not a well known practice. As the director of the humane society stated, there are thousands of others who dog fight. Mick Vick is not a devil or evil, he was just desensitized to dog fighting because that is what he grew up doing. I know quite a few people who dog fight (including family members) and I never thought it was that bad of a practice to be honest with you because it was just what people did where I grew up. The east and west sides of Buffalo has plenty of dog fighting going on. I also think this has become a racial debate as well. Black people who I have talk to about the Vick situation do not seem to be in such an up roar about this. I believe that Black people are more concerned about the black on black violence that happens everyday in Urban America. I'm not saying dog fighting is ok, because it is not, but I believe that Black people as a whole are more concerned with the violence that is happening in our communities, and not as concerned with animal cruelty. I am Black and I sometimes wonder about the lack of outrage when there is a drive by shooting or a rape with in the Black communities. This is a whole other subject so I won't get to deep on that subject. This is so much bigger than Mike Vick, we have to look at the problem as a whole and stop trying to blame one person. I don't believe Vick is a psychopath, or a sociopath. I believe he is a product of a certain part society who does not value the life and treatment of animals as maybe the rest of our society does. If his example of going to prison and loosing millions of dollars does not help to control or better yet stop this terrible practice of dog fighting than what will? Some people will never change their opinion of him but I believe him and I think his second chance was deserved, at least for now.
  17. Yes, the Eagles are the early favorite to win the Super Bowl. This was before they got Vick. When Trent gets hurt,we'll be wishing we had a solid back up.
  18. Ha Ha! Real funny! I like Minot because of the calm winters. Just kidding, It is cold here but I'm born and raised in Buffalo, so I'm used to a little cold and snow.
  19. I may be wrong, but I feel the Bills dropped the ball on this one. If Vick is a bust, almost everyone on this post will be correct. I think we should have signed him. This is why we will continue to lose, the Eagles are the most talented team in football and now they add Vick.
  20. I don't care if vick would push edwards for his job. I want the best person available for the job, the more talent the better. All I care about is winning, really. Some say vick has mental problems and will kill more dogs or worse humans. If he is that crazy then having him walk the streets is a lot more dangerous than him playing QB for your favorite NFL team. I did not know Vick used stray dogs to "throw to the wolves", which is disturbing but he served his time and he will play in the NFL again, like or not. If he goes to the Pats, I'll be so pissed. That will be a slap in the face, especially if he is still good.
  21. I love dogs, I know they are a part of the family. We are not talking about Vick kidnapping the family dog. These dogs only purpose was to fight. Yes, it is a blood sport, but for those who have grown up in that culture, dog fighting is not that bad. I don't agree with dog fighting and if someone hurts my dog, I'll be pissed. I also know the difference between a pet and a warrior. People who dog fight looks at these dogs as warriors who go to battle and fight. I'd rather a dog be killed than another person in urban America.
  22. I have never been involved in dog fighting myself but I know plenty of people who have been involved. Dog fighting in urban culture is like rooster fighting in Latino culture. It is not looked upon as the worst thing ever. It is practiced in more urban neighborhoods than you would think. In Urban culture the biggest baddest dog on the block comes with respect. I would rather people fight dogs, then to fight and kill each other. In urban culture dog fighting can take the place of harming one another or it can take the place of committing illegal acts against each other. I think dog fighting puts dangerous animals in society that can kill another human being. This is my biggest reason for being against it. As for the poor defenseless animals, I have a different feeling on that. An attack or security dog gets treated the same as a fighting dog. They are both trained to kill. What's the difference? I see plenty of stray dogs walking around that no one give a care about, so to put the life of an animal ahead of a human is ridiculous. What he did was wrong, he got what he deserved. Now it's time to move on. In my opinion Vick is not a scumbag. He abused animals (which is illegal) for his own personal pleasure the way we watch boxing, MMA and football, which is not illegal.
  23. I, and for all the people who cancel their season tickets go ahead. That would be a choice that you have the right to make. I don't blame you if that is what you really want to do. He killed dogs and he did his time, he lost millions, let this go. Life goes on. I don't want to be insensitive to PETA and the other animal groups but I think the logical person would want these crimes he committed to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law, this has been done. The logical person might want the offender to be fined, or have to pay for the care of the surviving animals, this has been does as well. The logical would want the offender to have to create more publicity to the illegal and immoral practices of dog fighting; this has been done as well. The logical person would want the offender to pay a high price for his crimes, this has been done. My question is; what else do you want to be done to this man? It seems to me that everything that can be done to Vick legally, morally and financially has be done already.
  24. It seems would make sense moving training camp to Toronto and see if that can generate more fans from there. I think this would bring more fans to the games when the Bills play there.
  25. Someone like me? You don't know me from a can of paint, but I’m educated enough to recognize that I'm not a genius and I’m man enough to admit it. I have common sense as well, which ultimately takes you further in life. I guess you’re one of the Friggin stupid individuals I'm talking about. My statements would only bother you if you are one of these individuals. Do me a favor and take the sand out.
