  1. I'm with you Bandit. If Bo was so good the Titans wouldn't be having ideas of letting him go. I would really like to draft James Casey from Rice in the 2nd round.
  2. As much as I realize how important it is for the Bills to have a better 1 - 2 punch at the WR position, I am hopeful that Steve Johnson can be the man. There are 3 to 4 guys that are competent enough on this team in my view to make up a succeful WR crew. What we have been lacking is a true 1 - 2. We have a few three's, but I have a feeling that Steve Johnson can fill that void. I wouldn't be upset if Bryant was signed because there is no doubt that it would be an upgrade from what we have, but at $6 Million a year, and having Steve Johnson and Hardy, I think the money would be better spent in other area's on improving this team. I think it is worth it to go with the WR group that we have another year since we do have 2 young guys that do show promise. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Magox -- I agree. I think Stevie Johnson is for real. He had a great senior year at Kentucky. He had the winning catch that beat LSU and another power house I can't remember. What does that mean ? In the clutch - late in the game - he made the big catch - He's a play maker.
  3. My take is Raji or Cushing. Raji can create havoc up the middle. (a QB likes to step up towards the middle when pressured) this would take that away and force him to the outside which is what we want. Cushing is a 3 down OLB with good speed that can rush the passer and also cover a RB or TE. Maulaluga has been mentioned quite a bit but after the senior bowl it was said he couldn't cover his own shadow in a passing situation. I love this stuff.
  4. UFA - Angelo Crowell - LB Draft - Bills trade with Lions (Lions draft QB Stafford with #1 and want a OT early in the draft). Bills get Lions pick in 1st round (20th) and 1st pick in second round (33rd overall) 1. Tyson Jackson - DE - LSU 2A. Josh Freeman - QB - Kansas State 2B. Max Unger - C - Oregon ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After some thought and apologies I'll get rid of the trade scenerio. UFA - Angelo Crowell Rd 1 - Brian Cushing OLB USC Rd 2 - Robert Ayers DE Tennessee
  5. oh..if I didn't get Mack with 2A I'd stay with Unger as 2B I picked Unger with the belief that Mack would be taken in the 1st round.
  6. Max Unger - C - Oregon
  7. With a healthy Schobel on one side and Jackson on the other the defense would very good at both rushing the passer and stopping the run. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm with you brother. Jackson is like getting both a pass rusher and another DT all in one frame. Not worth the 11th pick, but if we trade down ? I just love this stuff !!!
  8. I would consider Greer only because we will lose him in FA. If we could get a fair draft pick or teade for a starter I would make the deal.
  9. what a great article - and yes he was a safety for us http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/5227
  10. Who needs to go? Turk or Trent? I say its the players that make plays and win games 90%, coaching and play calling 10%. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think both can stay. What we need is to upgrade our OL with players that are more athletic, that can continue their blocking assignments down field to keep the play going and also to be able to pull and run some sweeps along with some screens. This I know can't happen overnite. A center and a big TE that can both block and pull coverage off Lee would also help. With that, Turk should REALIZE what he has and should take advantage of the new personnel. This in turn would give you a strong running game, make the play action pass a viable option, counteract the blitz with screens, have a tight end to strecth the field, etc, etc. Oh well it's nice to dream - isn't it ?
  11. Before the numbers argument start, these were all taken from the Walter Football page. http://www.walterfootball.com/draft2009DE.php according to your link Hardy is listed as 6'5" 260 lbs.
  12. Maybe we could take him and make him dickie's game manager.
  13. Amani Toomer for 1 year at a fair price - Bring em in. On his last legs but could help while Hardy mends.
  14. Me thinks if Derek Fine was given the chance to be a full time starter he would produce. He has the same built as Chris Cooley and Dallas Clark and we all know what they can do. I hope dickie gives him a true chance.
  15. per rotoworld ESPN's Ed Werder confirms that impending free agent NT Tank Johnson will not be retained by the Cowboys this offseason. This was reported two days ago in the Dallas Morning News. Tank kept his nose clean with the Cowboys and would appear to have a better chance of finding a team in 2009 than Adam Jones. Johnson fits better in a 4-3 defense. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, Yes, Yes, I reside in the Dallas area (doing the best I can) and Tank has been very quiet. Also doing alot of civic activities. He's a good (not great) DT with a mean streak that he's been able to control. With Tank and Stroud as starters I believe we would have a very good set of DT's. Teams would not be able to double team them both and with a DE/LB thru either FA and/or the draft we would have an improved D. You'd see the safeties/cornerbacks also have a very good year. Bring em on.
  16. I agree with everyone, but here's the sad reality. With Uncle Ralphie pulling the strings and owning the check book we are an 8-8 team at best. He will continue to mingle as he believes he is the GM and has the neccessary football smarts. Being born in Buffalo (no matter where we now reside), no matter what happens, no matter who is the coach, no matter how many negative articles get posted, the bills are part of us from birth and we will never leave them no matter what. That is the true reality. I am a fan for life and will make the best of it and stay as positive as I can.

  18. 99% of these people who post would not know how to coach a pee wee football team, much less try to organize the locker room in a NFL organization. All the negative comments on the poor play calls - GET OVER IT ! If the plays work they are great plays, if they fail everyone crys. Think about the calls that work. The fake punts & field goals, if they do not work everyone would cry -they did work an they were great calls. If JP does not fumble against JETs and completes the pass or runs for a first down, he's a hero, the coach is great, etc... If Matt Cassel get his 3rd down punt blocked, their coach is a stupid for trying it, he get a good punt and he's smart. Just let the Coach coach the team and try to support the effort the players give on the field. Hopefully we will get a few better bounces next year. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amen Brother - Your post is a breath of fresh air. The people you talk about change their minds every 5 minutes.
