  1. He's old but he's still got his speed. ---------------------------------------------- Birthdate: 01/22/86
  2. Schobel says he wants to play closer to home, plus he has the 2nd highest salary on the team and is getting older. He did have a rebound season, but can he keep it up and how will the transition to the 3-4 affect his game? I'd say try and make a trade with Houston or Dallas, that way he can be close to home. Since we're transitioning to a new defense and basically are rebuilding this team, I'd rather go with a younger, faster guy that will be around longer than Schobel. (Just my opinion) Evans has not been able to put up consistent numbers since he's been here. One week, he'll have over 100 yards receiving, then followed by 2, 3 or 4 games where he's lucky to put up 40 to 50 yards. You don't pay a guy $9+ million a year to be a #2 receiver. Granted, we haven't had solid play at QB, but Evans is a short, speedy WR, once the speed is gone, they're not that useful (look at Peerless Price). Plus, in bad weather/snowy games, the snow takes away the speed, so you should go with a big physical WR. I'd like to see the Bills trade Evans for Brandon Marshall, Marshall is not happy in Denver and would be a upgrade over Evans. As a matter of fact, they should trade or cut loose Parrish as well. We have James Hardy & Stevie Johnson on the team, and we haven't been able to get a good look at those guys, so if the Bills decided to turn the page on Reed & Parrish, I would have no problem with that. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- sounds like you missed your school bus this morning
  3. DrFishfinder The beaten, confused Trent that "we've puked over" is exactly who he actually is, under the circumstances in which he played. He looked good at 5-1 and was rated in the top 5 QB's in the league at that point. Then he got a concussion, the OL fell apart, he got another concussion and that OL fell apart, and on and on and on. Things are starting out pretty much with a clean slate next season, from the GM, HC, OC and DC on down. As has been said before, no QB can throw while he's flat on his back. So hopefully they'll address the OL first. As for Edwards and any chance of him staying, I'm all for Gailey giving him a shot in pre season. But bring in a bona fide starting QB first. I don't think the Bills can afford the luxury of experimenting with Edwards yet again, to see if it was reason A, B, C or D - Z that he didn't work out. Give him a shot in preseason, but make the decision to keep him or not quickly, and move forward either way. And make damn sure there is a starting caliber QB on the roster in case the decision is NO. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Great post
  4. Hand speed of 82 miles an hour? No wonder the kid has regressed...he is having too much fun on his own... Seriously, I may be the only one who still thinks Trent may have some game, he just needs to be rehabilitated from his previous handlers... he just showed way too much promise early on, to have gone in the tank so quickly... get 'er done Chan! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I agree - i totally believe the previous coaching staff (lack of) was his demise.
  5. I believe we have two 7th round picks - the extra one for the ko simpson trade
  6. Thurman8125 Just curious what people think about Nix. When he introduced Gailey he was a bumbling fool that didn't even know how many coaches the Bills have had. A 70 year old goofball. So progressive! Typical Bills. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I think your the bumbling fool.
  7. 'Endzone Animal' Pants on the ground. ------------------------------------- hahahaha good one - how bout heehaw or gomer pile
  8. All the negative people need to chill out. You all think you's know everything when in fact you's know nothing. How in the world can you make all those ridiculous statements. Let's sit back, relax, talk about free agency and the draft. Let's give Buddy and Chan a chance.
  9. Endzone Animal So let's run through the Bills staff. GM: Boss Hogg HC: Roscoe P. Coltrane OC: Buford T. Justice DC: Huckleberry Hound -------------------------------------------------- hahahahahaha good job - this will go down as a clsssic
  10. Well I heard rumblings of a presser coming today, but have yet to hear anything about one. Has anybody heard ANYTHING on it at all?? I'm just thinking that if they were to have one today it would have been announced already. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh really - Whom did you hear this from ????????????????
  11. Opinions on what, exactly? This guy should go the way of former Bills that never panned out like Erik Flowers...see ya, we barely knew ya... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Red - STOP IT !!!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh really - Were you on the practice field all of last year? Would you sit Schobel,Kelsay and Denny to play Ellis? Do you believe he was coached properly? You have no idea what was going on? How old are you? What car do you drive? Let's see what the next coaching staff has to say and OBTW have a nice day in school.
  12. We had like the most INTs this year and have always been very good. We are going to suck ballz next year. ================================================================================ ========= "Each of the coaches is currently under contract, but they have been informed that they have the opportunity to seek positions elsewhere. The status of each coach will be determined by the Bills new head coach following the completion of the process," the team said in a news release.
  13. Buddy Nix is a great choice. Build thru the draft and draft players that will fit your system (very important). Free agency is for medium price short term fix type of players. The money saved for the above goes to retain your core players (how many good players have we let go and not resign) He mentioned you build a team for the North East (big, strong and fast) no more smurf DE's/LB's He will build a team to run, stop the run, and have a QB with a very strong arm. Wins will be ugly not pretty (but don't we want to win) An OC/DC that are great teachers WHAT IS NOT TO LIKE ---
  14. It all starts or stops with the offensive line. No QB would last behind these ushers. Build OL first. Yepper ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Do some research first. Take a look at the offense line problems with Green Bay, oh wait there record is 9-5, do you think Aaron Rodgers might have something to do with this.
  15. 3rd down conversion rate so far this season is 44/174 I understand the o lines woes this year but this still shows a dire need for a new QB. My question is do we take a gamble in the 1st round, or do we hope Brohm is the answer and wait till the mid rounds to draft one, or do we go for a vet and go after Jake Locker next year. Morons need not apply. Merry XMAS to all.
  16. Mike in Syracuse' After yesterday's game and this debacle of this season I'm convinced that nothing short of a total cleansing will solve the Bills problems. What this team desperately needs is a fresh set of eyes. A set of eyes that understands the intricacies of NFL football. Someone with no pre-concieved bias or no interest on who was drafted where or what they're paid. Anything less that the football equivalent of a scorched earth policy will be a complete and utter failure. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Amen brother - We need football minds to run the football side of the house. Uncle Ralphie - What part of this don't you understand !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. A 7 point dog at home. Hmmmm. Forecast snow showers and high of 27. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- RUN RUN RUN Did I say RUN
  18. So say Incognito works out, what does that do to our O-line next year? LT - Levitre LG - Incognito C - Hangartner RG - Wood RT - Butler This is just a guess.......... PS that would be the great white hope line ------------------------------------------------------------------------- LT 1st round draft LG Levitre C Wood RG Incognito RT Butler
  19. The only way to have a chance against the Pats is with the big play and we all know TE is blind past 20 yards down the field. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And why do you think this is true ???????? Could it of been his o-line, his OC ??? Wake up man. He's the best we have.
  20. After watching Matt Cassel play the Bills yesterday knowing how much the Chiefs have invested in him and watching our backup QB for a few games, the difference in the Caliber between TE, Fitz and Cassel is obvious in my opinion. Trent Edwards is better then Cassel, he's better then Fitzpatrick, probably better then half the QB's starting in this league. Trent Edwards regressed because we stuck him behind a rookie O-line. Trent Edwards regressed because our coaching at the HC and OC position over the last 5 plus years has been pathetic. Trent Edwards regressed because of a self centered idiot we brought in at the WR position to supposedly help this ball club. Do you think the Steelers are looking for a new QB after losing to the pitiful Browns and giving up 8 sacks. Big Ben is a championship caliber QB coming back from a concussion and you see the results when playing behind a sub par O-line. Judging from our offense yesterday, we now have another defensive minded coach trying to run the offense. Fewell, if you are going to run a ball control, run it down your throat type offense which considering our O-line and youth at the QB position is not such a bad idea, put a QB in that can hit the broad side of a barn. If this is the offense you want to run, Captain Check down is the guy for you. Fitzpatrick fumbles and turns the ball over way to much and its a miracle we even beat the pitiful Chiefs in my opinion. Because of our O-line I really didn't want TE back onto the field this season, but TE can run a conservative offense. He's much more accurate and will not turn the ball over near as much. Ryan Fitzpatrick cannot beat the Pats, but in my opinion Trent Edwards can and he almost proved it once this year already. We should let TE play, Flame away... -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dog I agree 100% Too many Morons on this site.
  21. I see at least 4 qbs going in the first round this year and i think we need to really consider getting one. I would absolutely love to have jake locker because he can make pretty much any throw and he can run pretty well and playing in washington he has cold weather experience. Clausen is a sure fire top 3 pick so we cant get him, Ryan Mallett is a guy who is gonna sky rocket on draft boards if he declares, some team is gonna have to take a shot on bradford or tebow in the first round and mccoy might even get a look from teams too and locker is gonna go int the first round as well. Just sayin that we need to get a franchise qb this year and i dont want that guy being drafted in the 3rd round. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I believe we got our QB when we grabbed Brian Brohm. I would rather take a chance on him then give up a high draft choice and draft a QB we know nothing about. We need a difference making DT/OT/MLB. I also believe with the proper coaching TE could be a good backup or even give Brohm competition for the starting roll. Let's build up our lines and LB corp first, get better at stopping the run, get better at running the ball, and then if Brohm doesn't work out (give him 2 years minimum), then take a chance with a high draft pick at QB. Please Grampa Ralphie, higher a GM first and let him hire his coach.
  22. I constantly see postings calling for upgrades to our defensive line and OLB......and while I agree we need upgrades in these areas, the heart and soul of the defense should be the MLB...and I can't think of a single NFL team that has a worse starting MLB than we do.... sure Poz makes lots of tackles, but how many of these tackles are for gains of less than 5 yards??....we need a tough force that can strip blockers and make plays near the line of scrimmage, not 5-10 yards downfield.... I would keep Poz, but move him to OLB....and find an NFL caliber MLB to man the middle and lead our defense. P.S....for the record, outside of our secondary, let's give some kudos to Kyle Williams.....a solid consistent force all season and a player to complement rather than replace! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I totally agree. We need to shore up the middle of the D. Get someone like Brandon Spikes to man the ILB position, get a good DT in the draft to rotate with 99 /95 and pick up a true Strong Safety. Up the middle is where we are truly getting hurt. OBTW - just maybe if Stevie Johnson and Hardy were in the lineup we'd do better then 1 of 11 on 3rd downs, move the ball and keep the other guys off the field.
  23. This may have already been mentioned, but why not consider hiring Ted Cottrell? In fact, I say bring Ted on board and keep Fewell as the DC. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I just barfed up breakfast
  24. As a die hard Bills fan it's almost embarrasing to read this garbage. If you are so disgusted change teams. Maybe you should all become Pats fans. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I agree. After a win these same morons get back on the band wagon. If Scott starts at LB along with Poz and Draft I think they can slow down Johnson. (Morons - Please note I said slow down not stop). I also think Trent goes down field this week. Get off your ugly band wagon and root for your home town team or else shut up. Enough negativity.
  25. The O-line wasn't good today. And while they gave up just 2 sacks (1 was by Peppers...for 0 yards), they gave up the safety, allowed a lot of hurries, and provided no holes to run through. They need to seriously get better. Think you can do better?
