  1. lmao..it's the same garbage on this site every day. are there actually bills fans on this board? Geeze. When it comes to bills QB's, the fans on this board are nauseating. Why don't we post 40 threads as to why Fitz has more rushing yards in the season than spiller? Why don't we post another 40 threads on why Fred Jackson fumbled the ball yesterday, which by the way, also led to a TD for the bears. Post about that.
  2. lol, i don't know where you got your numbers from...are you talking about strictly pass-defenses in the league? If you are, I think the Bills rank 6th in the league on pass defense...not a great indicator of our overall defense would you say? Least points allowed per game in the league: New York Jets ranked #2 Bears ranked #3 Packers ranked #5 Ravens ranked #6 Chiefs ranked #7 Dolphins at #18 Pats #24 Jags#30 It's pointless to argue man..they even go out of their way to skew stats that are meaningless just to prove their ridiculous points..
  3. I don't get all this "Franchise QB" talk. How good do you think Ben Roth would look on this team? How about Mark Sanchez? Lets put Jay Cutler behind center and see how great he looks with this offense. Fitz isn't a franchise QB b/c sometimes the ball sails high on him. LOL. 136 for 227, 1499yds, 13td & 7int in 6 games...tom brady in 8 games: 166 of 261, 1826, 14td, 4int...pretty similar numbers with two fewer games. What would you be saying if a rookie or second year QB was putting up Fitz's numbers? You'd probably be singing his praises...but b/c Fitz wasn't drafted 1 overall, he's not a franchise QB, regardless of his great performance on a horrible team. ya, his ball sails high at times, just like the other 31 QB's in this league.
  4. ya, i agree with you re: chan. We should've run the ball against KC with time dwindling down in the 4th quarter..we passed. Today, when we were up 19-14, we should've focused on grinding down the clock with our running game. In chan's defense today though, we weren't running the ball successfully at all..but you have to keep on trying at that point.
  5. if you say so, ok. About 90% of the players Fitz plays with on this team aren't going to take anyone to the promised land..but lets single out Fitz, when he's hands-down the ENTIRE OFFENSE on this team.
  6. When you play against the Ravens and the Chiefs on the road, and go to OT, I'd hardly call it "choking," especially when you're playing on the Bills. Nobody expected the bills to be within 10-15 points in those games. I'll admit that some of Fitz's mistakes have been costly at times, but have they been any more costly than Lindell missing a FG to win the game? Or Fred Jackson today fumbling the ball, which led to a TD? I'm not going to run them off the team. Things will turn around man...this entire team has a culture of losing..sometimes it just takes a while to overcome it.
  7. EXACTLY. No rookie is going to come in here and put up this kind of production for 2-3 years...by then they'll be what, 24/25? Fitz is 27 now..big woop.
  8. I really have to disagree dude. Statistically, Fitz is in the top 10 in every QB category, WITH 2 LESS GAMES. And what exactly is he working with on offense? How many players on our offense would start on an elite team? He's giving us great production with below average talent.
  9. speaking of the line, at some point today i actually found myself thinking, wow, Fitz hasn't even been sacked in this game yet against the Bears defense...maybe our O-line is starting to improve...they definitely are improving somewhat, but a lot of the credit is due to Fitz knowing what he's doing out there and releasing the ball quickly. This team doesn't have as many negative plays under fitz-he makes quick decisions and gets the ball out of tehre.
  10. To me it's simple: the bills are a horrible team pretty much all-around. This team just isn't good enough to afford to turn the ball over at ALL. Every QB in this league throws INT's and has 1-2 bad throws a game...look at how many bone-headed throws Eli Manning has made in his career..the difference is that QB's on elite teams are picked up by the rest of their team...special teams makes a play...defense makes a big sack/turnover or holds the offense to a FG instead of a TD after the pick. Fitz has near 50 attempts and has 1 turnover and he gets blamed for the loss..well ya, it's definitely partly his fault that we lost, but we would've never been in the game most likely without his stellar play 99% of the other game. At some point, we need other elemnts of our team to help us win a game..and we're not good enough for that yet. So unfortunately for Fitz, he gets the brunt of the criticism b/c for the average fan (not saying you are), it's simply teh easiest recourse to just blame the QB for everything.
  11. Absolutely agree...do you think the O-line has miraculously become this good overnight? Fitz knows where he wants to go with the ball and gets it out of there quick. This offense was arguably the worst in the league before Fitz took over, and now we move the ball at will at times against the best defenses in teh league. It's hard to dismiss the turnaround.
  12. Fitz's production this year in 2 less games than most NFL QB's matches up to any of the elite QB's in the league..just look at the numbers. Fitz has made Steve Johnson into a freaking pro bowl caliber receiver. Fitz and this offense have moved the ball up and down the field with ease against some of the better defenses in football (bears, ravens, chiefs), and we all know tehre isn't that much talent on the offensive side - we were lucky to make more than 8 offensive first downs a game before Fitz became QB. Coming into this year, everyone kept saying how the running game was our only bright spot on offense...our running game has been our primary downfall so far this year on offense. The criticism of Fitz is unwarranted.
  13. I agree as well. That turnover was costly today as it ultimately led to a TD that gave the Bears the lead, but Fitz is our entire offense out there. When you have to throw near 50 times, you're going to make mistakes in those 50 attempts. The bears have a good D, it happens. Our primary downfall today was the absolute lack of a run game to compliment Fitz. Also, Fred Jackson had a pretty bad game, highlighted by that fumble which led to a TD as well. Fitz has done WONDERS for this offense..he's single handedly turned Parrish and Steve Johnson into legit WR's. It's hard to dismiss that he runs this offense better than any QB since Bledsoe. I'm 100% behind him..things will turn around. You put up Fitz's numbers against any QB in this league, and he's right there with them. Just look at the numbers. I know that a loss is a loss, but compare the way we were losing games with Trent Edwards at QB to how we're losing games with Fitz - we've been in every single game, and these have been some tough games (baltimore away, KC away, etc). This team is playing a lot better, we just have to be patient and build up that defense.
  14. haha..i actually like how he worded the poll. I'd like to see how Fitz finishes the year. if he's as strong as he's been so far, I wouldn't draft a QB in 2011 and instead focus on building the DL/LB/OL. this team has major holes it needs to fill, and picking a QB at one or two overall isn't going to do us much of anything w/o a supporting cast.
  15. I have no idea how this move will pan out, but i don't understand how people can be critical of this move. We have absolutely NOTHING to lose by claiming him...if he's half the player he was in SD, he'd be 50x's better than anything we currently have on the outside passrush. go bills.
  16. our highest ranked player for a position of need, which - lucky us - is just about any position on the field. CAN'T MISS!
  17. that draft would be insane, but I don't see 3-4 of those players lasting that long..it's fun to imagine though
  18. the amount of personnel needed for this front 7 is scary. one could easily argue that we need 6 new players for our front 7 (Williams is the only one worthy of staying)...this is a process that could take up to 3 years if done right. thinking about it makes me depressed.
  19. I'm convinced there must be something in the water up there in Buffalo that just diminshes the logical side of the brain, because to complain about Fitzy's play this season is an absolute !@#$ing abomination. In five games, (two less than other QB's on this list), compare: Fitz: 240yds/gm; 12td; 5int Drew Brees with two more games: 291.8yds/gm; 16dt; 11int; Peyton Manning with one more game: 319yds/gm; 13td; 2int Vince Young with two more game: 142yds/gm; 9td; 2in Tom Brady with two more games: 228yds/gm; 12td; 4int Matt Schaub... : 256yds/gm; 9td; 5int Eli Manning...255yds/gm; 14td; 11int Aaron Rodgers...251yds/gm; 12td; 9int AND ON AND ON AND ON AND ON.. www.nfl.com Alphadawg, get a freaking clue, the numbers speak for themselves. And what do all of the QB's on the list above have that Fitz doesn't have? A freaking supporting cast. Fitz is playing with players where at best, maybe 2, would be starters on the teams of those qb's listed above. So your constant bitching about fitz is NAUSEATING. Fitz is 27 yrs old, not 37. The reason he never got a shot in Cincy is b/c Palmer was there and not necessarily b/c he couldn't perform. btw, look up Palmers' numbers this season and compare them to Fitz..they're worse. But yet here you continue..bitching. What a whiner. Do me a favor, put a bag over your head and go sit in a corner b/c your delusional/biased bitching makes me SICK. There's plenty of **** to B word about on this team, but Fitz is not one of them.
  20. LMAO. In 5 games: 105 of 176; 1200yds; 240yds/gm; 12td's; 5int; 91.1 QB rating. About 25 teams in this league would give you their right NUT for those kind of numbers...but yet here I am: an apologist for Ryan Fitzpatrick's play this season. LMAO. One would think I was posting on a Jets board.. oh ya, and add on 22 rushing attempts for 159 yards in 5 games. By comparison, CJ Spiller for the entire season: 26 for 113 yds. Ya, Fitzpatrick is DEFINITELY the problem, and not a part of the solution.
  21. I'm not absolving him of anything. The INT was bad, but the chiefs scored 0 points off of it. How did that INT "significantly" contribute to this loss? What exactly was the result of that INT? Instead of having Fitz drive us to FG range at the end of the 4th quarter, he drove us to the exact same FG range in the first drive of OT. What was the result? Missed FG. I guess that INT made Lindell miss the FG. The point of my reply to the other poster was that if anyone is going to be accused of choking in this game, it should be Lindell. It's funny how you give Fitz a 1 sentence "blurb," if you will, for the game-tying TD, but then go on a rant about an INT that the chiefs scored 0 points off of. You make it a point to blab on about Fitzy's last 3INT's...sorry, two of those INT's came in a game against this team called the Ravens, you may not have heard of them, but they're pretty damn good. Let me apologize on Fitzy's behalf for going 29-43 for 382yds and 4td's against that team you never heard of, in THEIR HOUSE. You're a joke. 3Int's have been costly...I guess his 12td's this season have been of no help. Here's a hint, it'll relieve a lot of stress for the bashers: You're supposed to root for the players on the team you supposedly like..
  22. No, you trying to blame this loss on Fitz is a bit silly. Fitz put Lindell within FG range in OT ON THE ROAD..after having driven the Bills for the game-tying TD ON THE ROAD. It's funny how you say how low the percentage is on making the FG, but at the same time fail to acknowledge that Lindell actually made it in his 1st attempt, to go ahead and miss it (when it actually COUNTED) in his second attempt. So, to answer your question, his chances I'd say were 50/50..too bad we were on the wrong side of that .50.
