  1. who the F cares about cam. People, unless you haven't realized, we have the #3 pick, not the 25th or 30th pick. Unless you guys plan on trading all the way down, and in doing so passing up on the likes of Fairley, Dareus, or Bowers, just to draft a QB who in all honestly does not translate well to the NFL, you're out of your F'ING MIND. Well said. Fairley appears to be a have a screw loose up there, but he'll help you win games on Sunday. That's all I care about.
  2. fairley bowers dareus quinn in that order
  3. i wouldn't waste my time on VY. let another org take that gamble...build both lines, and continue progressing.
  4. alpha and dorkington are one in the same...."fitzy is in the bottom third of the league for QB's" Look at hsi yards and td's and compare them to the bottom third (with two fewer games) and get back to me. With the likes of alpha and dorkington it'll always be soemthing....b/c Fitz has a very solid TD/INT ratio we have to rip on his comp. %...had his td's been lower, well, then guess what they'd be ripping on.. there was an approval rating of head coaches done in the nfl and Bill Bellichick was at around 90% if i recall correctly..which leads one to wonder what the 10% dislike...people like alpha and dorkington will never be happy with anything short of perfection which is never going to happen.
  5. The comparisons to Vick are not accurate at all imo, primarily for the reason you state above. Also, turnarounds like Vick's occur once in a lifetime..so I'm not going to hold my breath for VY to grow up.
  6. Of course you can finish your education whenever you want, but he's only at this specific age/time period in his life once. He's without a doubt having the time of his life at Stanford (he's practically king there), and he knows that ultimately he's going to get paid, and paid well regardless if he came out this year or next. Anything short of a career ending injury and he'll probably still go #1 next year (look at Bradford, sat out practically an entire year and look where he went). Maybe Luck just isn't mentally ready to make the next step and grow up. He has plenty of time to grow up and get paid.
  7. lmfao..i thought this post was hilarious.
  8. Fitz > VY - the hissy fits. No thanks.
  9. LOL. not when we start 8-0 next year with fitzy throwing lasers! woot woot!!
  10. if neither fairley/dareus are there or don't declare, i think i'd rather trade down and try to grab an extra second. i'm not huge on quinn.
  11. i'm just glad that this will be the final Luck thread on this board (hopefully) for a long, long time.
  12. WTF? Schobel was "missing" 3 years ago already...
  13. i'm away from the board for one week and this is what i have to come back to? wow
  14. another QB post. what is it with you guys? here we have a QB who just turned 28 in november, who's on pace to throw 25tds in 14 games..runs chans offfense very well...shows toughness and leadership..and you're worried about drafting a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round? It would probably take any QB in the 2nd or 3rd round 3-4 years to get to the level that Fitz is at now..at best. And in 3-4 years, Fitz will still only be 31/32. What's the point? Chan already found his guy imo.
  15. lets keep losing until luck has a son and we can draft him too.
  16. that would be a great draft, just give me Solder over Locker please.
  17. who the F cares about luck?
  18. LOL...posts like this make me wonder what the heck goes on in people's minds. What's the point of drafting a QB like Locker in the 2nd round, when it would probably take him 3-4 years to come close the production that Fitz is putting up RIGHT NOW (and that's assuming that Locker would ever even make that stride forward). Fitz just turned 28 in November and handles Chan's offense perfectly with not much talent surrounding him. Posters like you better come to grips that Fitz is here to stay. And thank god.
  19. We contend with the Patriots when Brady retires in 5 years.
  20. the only way Beal drops to the third round is if he breaks his leg at the combine.
  21. more or less agree with you on everything..my mindset on Kendricks over picking a RT is that it's much harder to find a great TE in the lower rounds compared to finding a great RT, in lets say round 4 or 5. Plus, I'd still like to see what Wang has to offer the bills. If Pinkston is there in the 2nd, i'd have no problem picking him up..not crazy about any other OT at that point (unless a big name T like Love or Carimi drops to the second) over what we already have on the team. but ya, I'll agree w/you that a TE in the 2nd round is a bit of a stretch/luxury pick for the bills at this point. i'm starting to get psyched for this draft.
  22. Ya, i guess the combine will ultimately determine where he goes (beal). Mason Foster is a beast as well, and I've been having issues over who I'd rather have: Moch or Foster. Could be a wash. I'm in love with Acho, and though a bit raw still, if we were able to snag him in the 3rd or so this guy has top 15/25 potential. As for the TE, i dunno man. I think what this offense needs is EXACTLY a nice big TE that can go through the middle to snag some balls - we don't have anyone (WR or TE) that can really do that. A top TE on this team would take the offense to the next level in my opinion. Nelson has done an OK job, but he's not elite. Lance Kendricks is a beast. We haven't had a premier TE in Buffalo since Metzelaars. I wanted Aaron Hernandez last year, I want Kendricks this year.
  23. astro..i really don't see Beal dropping all the way down to the third round. He's one of the top LB/DE in the country. the guy has put up insane numbers in college, and like you said, he can do it all playing the DE or LB position. I have us taking him in the first after trading down I love Pinkston in the 2nd round..and he could very well be there early in the 2nd. I really love Jenkins as well..but he's a DT if I recall. I'd be happy with that draft.
  24. I agree. Our O-line is still young though with room to continue growing as they become more of a cohesive unit. Like other posters said, the improvement of our O-line goes hand-in-hand with the great play of Fitz. There's very little hesitation on the part of fitz, and he generally knows exactly where he wants to go with the ball. I'd still like to see this O-line unit continue to improve in the run game however. We need to generate more of a push upfront on 3rd and short..we'll see. I'd like to see what Wang can do as well. All in all though, I'm very pleased with their play. We've gone up against some of the tougher defenses in football and our 0-line has def. stepped up to the challenge.
  25. collinsworth/theisman/phil simms (though not as bad as the two former)...off the top of my head. i just find them to be know-it-alls, and overly belligerent.
