  1. I took that straight from ESPN. It was on sportscenter the week after the season ended. I didn't make it up man. I was as surprised as anyone but I can't find an article on espn to back it up. It was on TV. So no shame here dude. Maybe someone else here watched it too. It was a sportscenter that aired during the afternoon. And the piece specifically dealt with how well Geno played the last few games and gave the rating statistic as a "you'll never believe this" stat. And EJ didn't play the last couple of weeks of the season, so he wouldn't even qualify. The highlight specifically dealt with QB's QBR's during the last 3-4 weeks of the season and how Geno had the highest QBR in 3 or 4 of those weeks or 3 out of 4 weeks or whatever. I say 3-4 b/c I can't quite remember if it was either 3 or 4 weeks. Also, it was QBR, not quarterback rating. two different things. If I have time today at some point I'll try to find it.
  2. Look at the talent he's got on the defensive side here. He'd be hard-pressed to find a better landing spot as a DC.
  3. Lol. Seriously.
  4. I didn't see anyone running to hire Hackett.
  5. Really?! The best defensive scheme we've had in probably over a decade and it's gone. One step forward, two steps back. Excuse me for not clicking my freaking heels in excitement. Playoff teams lose components of their coaching staff for a reason, not 6-10 teams. A 6-10 Bills teams loses Pettine for a reason. He's that good.
  6. I know he's been around, but when was the last time Henderson was a D-coordinator in the NFL? 2008? I'd have to look. He's been around the block and has been passed on/not considered for a while. What a let down.
  7. McKelvin and A. Williams will go back to sucking like they have their entire careers before Pettine. Hughes will disappear much the same way he had prior to joining w/Pettine.
  8. Lets be real, we'll probably bring over the DC from Syracuse. We already have their former HC, OC, and assistants. It's only logical.
  9. This really sucks. No way to sugarcoat this one folks.
  10. If you wanna argue a point you can do so w/o going to an absolute extreme. Because the second you do, all credibility is lost. Man, you should stop wiping the floor w this guy.
  11. You're right. My bad My bad Lmfao. Sorry, that was funny
  12. soon to be divorced
  13. Good post man. Pretty much agree with everything.
  14. Sure why not. Id trade back twice if possible. Each time u trade back we get a 2nd rd pick. Imagine drafting 22 and then having 3 second round picks?
  15. I don't disagree. But not at #9.
  16. haha. you can NEVER have enough corners.
  17. LOL..just stressing how badly I would NOT want a RT at #9.
  18. kinda agree with this to a certain extent. I'd go with a CB before I went with a RT.
  19. I think kiko was kinda overhyped to be honest. Kiko had a great 1st half of the season and then was nowhere to be seen during the second half. Rookie wall I suppose.
  20. John Mackey had the build of a RB in today's NFL, that's the difference. Gronkowski, Graham, Davis, Cameron, Gates etc. are all taller, bigger, and yet just as fast. They're a complete matchup nightmare. In 2011, 5 of the 15 players in the NFL with the most receptions were TE's. That never happened before in the history of the NFL. In 2012, that figure was 3 TE's, and this year that figure was back down to only 1. However, a large part of the decline has been a result of Gronkowski being constantly injured, Hernandez getting arrested and Tony Gonzalez aging. Mackey was ahead of the curve in his day, but the evolution of the TE position in the passing game is certainly becoming more prominent in the NFL. This year there are a very good crop of TE's coming out of college and rest assured that they will be playing an important role in offenses around the league. I dunno. Reason I brought it up was b/c I don't remember Hackett using a TE much at all at Syracuse. Chandler led our team with receptions but our WR corps blew chunks this season.
  21. Yeah, I dunno. I know ASJ had a DUI which is obviously bad but I personally look past isolated incidents like that. it would be different if the guy kept screwing up off the field. I agree with the way the TE position is utilized nowadays in the NFL, causing TE's to be drafted higher. However, I'm not sure how much value Hackett's system puts into TE's.
  22. Ah, thanks man. I knew there had to be another one in there somewhere. Ya, I dunno. I know it's best to go BPA regardless of position. But I just don't see Ebron head and shoulders above Amaro or ASJ.
  23. I'm not sure about Ebron at 9 guys. Is Ebron that much better than Amaro and/or ASJ? I dunno. I mean I like him, but I'm not sure I like him that much. In other words, I wouldn't be disappointed if we ended up with any of the top 3 TE's. We can technically trade down and still land 1 of the top 3 TE's. Also, other than Vernon Davis, has a TE ever been drafted in the top 10? Maybe I'm having a brain fart, but I can't think of one off the top of my head.
  24. Ya, Peyton Manning should not be utilized in an example pertaining to anything. He's on another planet.
