Cam Newton is a crybaby
bobobonators replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was. It was a better game in my opinion. What Im saying is that for those people that are constantly complaining about hits, concussions, injuries, etc and blaming the NFL for everything injury related, today's NFL changed quite a lot and today's game is much softer than it was 20-30yrs ago. Roger didnt invent football; he didnt make it a violent sport. -

LOL. i just had to throw a clip in there of Brady getting smashed. And today it probably wouldve been a flag for the defender leaving his feet and leading with the helmet. Unless youre landry. =( -

I can interpret that you have to earn it as: if its not worth a flag we arent going to flag it. When people claim that Cam doesnt get calls the following logical questions are required: 1. Why? Why do you think hes not getting calls. 2. Is it an actual fact that hes not getting calls at the same rate as other QB's or does it just become the popular thing to say and everyone else parrots the same response? 3. What motivation would there be for the NFL to not protect one of its young superstars? 4. Who benefits from Cam getting injured? 5. If you say that Cam doesnt get calls like other QBs do then you are directly implying that it is a league-wide conspiracy. Please break down that conspiracy for me. On a purely logistical basis, do they get together at the owners meeting and talk about how Cam is going to be put down? Does this happen during ref meetings? Does Roger send out league-wide emails? -

Maybe brady releases the ball in under 3 seconds and doesnt get hit as often? Look how many big hits Big Ben takes. If you are a big QB and are known for breaking away from sacks/tackles, defenders are going to come up with creative ways to take you out. You can sack brees with one arm. Hes small. -
Bills vs. Patriots Postgame

I only got to watch the first 5min of this game (thankfully). How did Dareus play in his 1st game back? I saw one play where he blew up Blount in the backfield but I had to leave shortly thereafter. Did he have other decent plays? -

Why is everything Roger's fault? If someone farts in China the fashionable thing to do is blame Roger directly or indirectly. The NFL has become the softest it has ever been during Roger's tenure. You cant look at a QB without getting flagged nowadays. The NFL has always been a violent sport. Roger has made it less violent. But people still want to complain? If youre that worried about the violent nature of todays pansy NFL then maybe its not the right sport for you. Maybe you should go pick up table tennis. See how much they pay you. And no, Roger is not huddling with refs in a dark room at night scheming ways to blow calls on Cam and favor Brady. Come on people. -

My good friend is a skins fan and we made a small bet before the season started as to who was going to have a better w/l record. Neither of us may win the bet at this rate. -
Im always amazed at the level of nepotism in the NFL.

Shady injures hamstring in practice
bobobonators replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wanted them to sit him last week and just be done with it. -
How can a ball that hits an NFL WR's hands not be considered a drop? I get the whole YAC argument and can see how a slightly misplaced pass can impact YAC. I 100% get that. But at what point are the other 10 players on the field held accountable for their lack of play-making? If the ball hits you in your hands in the NFL, you should catch it. If you dont, its considered a drop. Again, I 100% dont disagree about YAC though. In the game against us the Jets Wr made 4-5 ridiculous catches. Just jumping up in the air and absolutely attacking the defender for the ball. Its amazing what legit WR can do.

Anyone want Spiller over Bush?
bobobonators replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
HA. Id probably rather keep Bush. At least he knows the offense. -
The cheifs game he failed us? You mean the game where he threw for 292yds 3tds and had almost another 50yds rushing? You realize he literally accounted for almost our entire offense that game. In KC mind you. But he failed us. Mccoys bad game and fumble didnt hurt us at all. TT lost us that game by himself. Gotcha. Points in quarters 1-3 count the same as points in quarter 4. There isnt a sliding scale to points. Its a total. Which is a perfect segway to players failing us last yr in this thread: EJ manuel single handedly lost us the Jax game last season with his putrid turnover show in the first half. Oh but he almost brought us back. Too bad the crapshow he had in the first half doesnt lose its significance come the 4th Quarter. That was a perfect example of someone losing a game for you. How many games has TT started and gone into the 4th quarter with a lead and we lose? 2 games out of 21. @ KC and @miami last week. 2 games out of 21.
-
Hahah. It just comes down to not living in the moment. Before TT is given the opportunity to fail he's failed. He cant take you to the super bowl. How about we clinch a wild card spot first.
-
Apparently Im talking to people who are fans of a team that has made the playoffs on a yearly basis and has won divisions every other year. To boo-hoo TT's winning record on the BILLS of all teams is a little silly. Just a little. How many QB's on the Bills have had a winning record over a 21 game stretch in the last two decades? Bledsoe and Flutie? And yes every team has injuries. I get it. Sammy and Shady are not regular players, do you agree? And despite them being injured we still have come out on top more often than not, thats my point.
