I don't disagree with throws left on the field. I'm not saying that he didn't leave throws on the field. But the metric is useless without a baseline unless the baseline is that no throws should be left on the field. That's all i'm saying.

15th in the NFL? Sounds about right. Tyrod has the 2nd highest TD/turnover ratio in the NFL, behind Brady. I thought that too. left "throws on the field"; what is the point of comparison for that? How many throws were left on the field on average across the NFL? I can look at Brees' game from yesterday and easily find a handful of throws that were left on the field.

But Cam is elite. And Tyrod is a questionable backup.

Tyrod has more wins than Drew Brees over his last 30 games started. Cue the "wins are a team stat" crowd. To that I respond with: when Tyrod lit up the Hawks and Dolphins last year but still lost and people said he didnt do enough to win. Hes not a winner. Where was that crowd then?

How can you objectively say Cam Newton is elite and at the same time consider Tyrod a below average QB? Ridiculous.

We're not talking about just one game. We're talking about a rating over dozens of games now. And of course you can just go off of stats. Brees is going to the HOF bc of his Stats not bc of his winning % which is very average

I'm just curious, but will these "garbage time" stats count for Brees? Or do they stop keeping stats after the 2nd quarter here? I remember that being a very important point for Tyrod haters last season. hey look! a really high throw for a WR in the end zone and it was caught! Was that a good pass or a bad pass by Brees?

I'm really looking forward to this game. 1. How will Lynn do with San Diego? I think San Diego has a lot of talent and can make some noise in a ridiculously tough division. We also play San Diego this season @ San Diego. I'm rooting for Lynn, except when he plays us. 2. We play Denver this year too and I'm curious to see just how good/bad their offense is going to be. Luckily we get Denver @ home this season.
