Awesome thread as usual glad it continues from last year. Ive never seen so much scrutiny on an incomplete pass before in my life. In the end for me, the question is painfully simple: Should that ball be caught 95% of the time? Yes, it should. If he was open 1 sec prior is irrelevant bc when he got the Ball he was still open. Openness is not an issue. Contact didnt cause the incompletion. Clay's bad hands did. Unless of course someone wants to argue that a ball is only catchable if its directly between the numbers.

Id like to know when the Carolina Panthers became a very superior team to anyone. Aside from 2 seasons where everything went right, they have been below .500 in a garbage division every other year. Your clearly superior team went 6-10 last season. They arent the Jets. But theyre not that far off from the Bills by any stretch imo

Do you think we can beat Carolina?

Held everything back? After week 1 we rank 3rd in offense in the NFL. Do you expect 1000yds of offense after one game? What is wrong with 50% of this board? -

We can definitely beat Carolina. But we cant leave 10 points off the scoreboard like we did vs the Jets. -

We'll see man. I think he's good enough to take a decent team to the playoffs for a few years. And i think hes good enough to win a game in the playoffs on a really good team. He just turned 28 last month. Hes in his prime right now and possibly beginning to get comfortable in his own NFL skin. -

You can mock it all you want, but it must be a sad existence on your end to be constantly so down on a player of a team you root for when said player has been one of the better players on the team over the last 2 seasons. This thread is ridiculously long btw. Gugny, you're still OK in my book. Just blind is all. -

Reflect on an offense that finished top 10 in scoring over 2 years and broke single-game yardage records for the franchise and had a QB selected to the pro bowl in consecutive seasons. -
Target TY Hilton? Other options at WR?
bobobonators replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think the #1 priority for this new regime will be finding a Luke Keuchly type mlb to lead this defense for the next decade. I can see them giving priority to the lines as well. WR will be an after thought imo. -

I dont think WR will be a priority under this regime. At all. -

You can do whatever your heart desires and I don't mean anything negative about it. I applaud your efforts to look at film. All I'm saying is that creating any post about the number of plays Tyrod "left on the field" is a pointless endeavor because there is no point of comparison league wide. It's not even a quantifiable stat because you have absolutely no idea where the first read was or should have been or what the progression should have been. It's a 100% subjective and arbitrary post that provides absolutely no factual insight. The fact is, you have no idea if the number of plays Tyrod leaves on the field is a high number or a low number, compared to other QB's in the NFL. -

While I absolutely don't deny that he leaves plays on the field, as you say, again if there is no point of comparison, what is the purpose of brining it up? What if you analyzed every single starting QB in the NFL and broke down their plays and it turned out that Tyrod in reality was within the top 15-20 QB's in the league at leaving the fewest plays on the field? What if Tyrod was in the top 5 in reality at leaving the fewest plays on the field? Maybe Tyrod would be ranked 32nd in the NFL at leaving fewest plays on the field. My point is, b/c you have absolutely no point of comparison for your statement that he leaves plays on the field, the entire exercise is jaded and pointless b/c in reality the few plays he leaves on the field may actually be better than 50% of the QBs in the league (or it may not be). In essence, you're building a "cautionary tale" about something for which you have no sensible idea if it requires caution or not. -

I don't disagree with throws left on the field. I'm not saying that he didn't leave throws on the field. But the metric is useless without a baseline unless the baseline is that no throws should be left on the field. That's all i'm saying. -

15th in the NFL? Sounds about right. Tyrod has the 2nd highest TD/turnover ratio in the NFL, behind Brady. I thought that too. left "throws on the field"; what is the point of comparison for that? How many throws were left on the field on average across the NFL? I can look at Brees' game from yesterday and easily find a handful of throws that were left on the field. -

But Cam is elite. And Tyrod is a questionable backup. -

Tyrod has more wins than Drew Brees over his last 30 games started. Cue the "wins are a team stat" crowd. To that I respond with: when Tyrod lit up the Hawks and Dolphins last year but still lost and people said he didnt do enough to win. Hes not a winner. Where was that crowd then? -

How can you objectively say Cam Newton is elite and at the same time consider Tyrod a below average QB? Ridiculous. -

We're not talking about just one game. We're talking about a rating over dozens of games now. And of course you can just go off of stats. Brees is going to the HOF bc of his Stats not bc of his winning % which is very average -
hahahahah

Anthony Lynn looks good on sidelines.

she sounds like she has a paper bag over her head as she talks.
-
Is this female announcer shoving the mic into her mouth as she talks? it sounds awfully muffed.
-
Lmao. Holy poop. Put me in coach. They should mute alll announcers and just have a live chat scrolling on top of the screen like we do at TSW. Much more informative.

But does she have nice feet?
