What we had under Biden was the permanent Washington beauracracy making presidential decisions instead of the crash dummy fake President. That seems autocratic, and i dare say a coup.. J6 did happen. Which is, faced with a token force of Capitol Police, and no National Guard reinforcements, how could 150,000 protesters challenged by only about 200 police officers fail to take over the Capitol? Just stopping a crowd that large with such intent with only about 200 officers armed with sidearms seems impossible. Because it is impossible. What stopped them? To believe that 200 officers stopped the takeover of the Capitol is to raise this event to the legendary performance of the 300 Spartans that repelled the entire Persian army at Thermopylae in 480 B.C. In order to believe the official J6 "story" you need to suspend reality and dismiss critical and logical thinking. Because the logical explanation is the crowd failed to take over the Capitol and achieve their aims because they had no intent to take over the building, overthrow the incoming administration, and reinstall the former President, or stop the electoral vote count. A small number of people attending the protest resorted to violence with the possibility of government agency infiltration into their ranks and some official incitement of the violence. Those responsible for the violence should and were held responsible. The government under Biden refused to divulge specifics or comment on government involvement. The J6 Committee wouldn't touch or entertain the topic lest it spoil their preconceived conclusions. Expectations are soon we will know more facts and details.

Somebody told me a while back that you can tell a lot about a person's situation by how much time and effort they spend thinking about the future. Generally, people well off or wealthy spend a lot of time worrying about the future vs. focusing on the present. The poor on the other hand, do not. A lot of the education problem has to do with the culture of poverty. People that value education are people that think a lot about the future. If you've got a decent job and a stable home life you're in a good position to do that kind of thinking. Those White and Asian households that you mention where education is deemed important provide that environment. A lot of black and hispanic households provide this kind of environment too. These are homes that produce the most proficient students and learners. These people learn that putting in the work in the present produces gratification and results in the future. The ability to defer gratification and rewards is a trait almost every single successful person in any field of work share. But if you're working poor or live at or below the poverty level, no matter your race and national origin, its hard to focus on the future when the present is a struggle for survival. In those circumstances, putting a lot of time and effort focusing on the future is not only a waste of time but can hinder the ability to survive under the present circumstances. You can't defer gratification and results or worry too much about the future, you need results and money now to survive. That these people need results now, not later, should be obvious because there may not be a later for them.

One guy expressing displeasure with Trump is just one man's opinion not evidence of some consensus of ex or current military and by the looks of the surge in enlistments it appears most citizens inclined to consider military service as an option are happy with the direction being taken by the administration regarding the military. If you recall enlistment numbers under Biden sagged considerably as a result of DEI and other social justice practices.

And every administration since then has been on a quest to increase the national debt. Now about $36 Trillion. I saw numbers that speculated this bill will add $5 trillion to that figure. Something's got to give and its going to be the US dollar. Where I disagree with Massie is I believe we're a lot closer to the day of reckoning than he suggests. I read this bill over time will add $5 trillion more to the national debt currently pegged at $36 trillion with annual interest payments of over $1 trillion which is the level carried over from Biden. So I'm wondering, if they can borrow a couple trillion every year why can't the government just eliminate the income tax and borrow all the money they need? Is it simply a distinction between irresponsible fiscal policies that accumulate higher and higher debts that will kill us slowly vs. one that will kill us quickly?

And yet with all of its intelligence and law enforcement capability and believing the President was calling his supporters to violence it's never been clearly and logically explained why the government was completely unprepared to handle the event. A thinking person might ask why?

And you think all the beneficiaries, individual citizens and business, of all these Federal entitlement programs and handouts are going to cheer the fiscal responsibility and accept that the end of the transfer payments to their accounts is a small price to pay for fiscal responsibility. Or you think the Fed is going to respond to any crisis by any means other than to flood the markets with liquidity in an attempt to kick the can down the road as far and as long as possible. I suggest we've past the point of no return but absent that, what's your grand forecast for where we're headed?

My conclusion is government deficits and the national debt will keep rising, no matter who is President or what party is in control with the only distinction being who benefits most from the money printing racket. The Central Bank response to any market crisis or disruption to rising markets will be the injection of massive amounts of liquidity (cash, credit, QE, etc) in order to support nominal asset values (stocks, bonds, etc) and keep the party going for as long as possible which at that point something breaks that more money printing or debt creation won't fix. Lots of inflation ahead in the meantime. But yeah, at the end of it all there could be deflation as asset values are crushed by the destruction of capital and paper wealth resulting in deflation but it might be a long time before we reach that point in time.

If Trump can't take the plane I might be interested in a "free" 747 but after measuring my garage I'm not sure its going to fit.

If they're going to eliminate winning the division guaranteeing a home playoff game then why not just eliminate divisions and play a balanced schedule with each team playing the other 15 conference teams one time with 2 out of conference games.
