  1. His grandmother is very ill. Jameis asked her if she wanted him to stay with her instead of going to the draft and she moaned. Which naturally he interpreted as a "yes". The state's attorney, Jimbo and all retired judges hired by FSU concur.
  2. Hyperbole, which is what everyone resorts to when a viable argument supported by logic/fact is presented. Did he suck for 55 minutes against the Steelers? Vikings? Patriots in the regular season? (no, in fact he sucked for the last 35 minutes in that game) The unemployed statement is no different than asking why did it take 6 rounds for someone to draft Tom Brady......just because someone/everyone thinks something, doesn't make it accurate or inaccurate for that matter. I showed up on page 5, every other person in this thread has been in EVERY SINGLE TEBOW THREAD, including you. I have never ever ever said he just wins...please find it mouth! I bring facts every time and you simply bring jokes, taunts and BS.....you simply aren't willing to listen otherwise you would have responded with something contributory rather than asinine.
  3. No I don't. I do know that how Tebow was allowed to play changed dramatically in the 4th quarter. Similarly, after all of Horseface Elway's posturing leading up to the playoff game about wanting Tebow to "let it rip" led to a much different game plan that allowed Tebow to set numerous passing records in that game. Additionally, deciding what stats are good and bad and what is 'garbage' is no more than opinionated hand-picking of data to support an argument. Tebow clearly had different playcalling when the Broncos were losing in the 4th quarter so his QBR during that quarter is relevant. You know this. So did Russell Wilson face a soft defense in the 4th quarter against the Packers? I am not comparing the two QBs, i am trying understand the twisted logic at work here.
  4. What is your problem dude....you feel the need to call me out? Not as surprising as things you say. oh, now QBR is evil too? While it may not be the most accurate measure, it is a measure that has some validity. QB rating is equally flawed (which was >125 in the game against the Steelers) or is it just any stat that supports a Tebow argument draws your venom? You hate the guy, just admit that.
  5. hey Gug, what part does a defense play in QBR? Just wondering since Tebow had (at the time) the highest 4th qtr qbr in the league.....you know, once John Fox stopped calling run, run, pass on third and 9 on every single series? Does good defensive play impact QBR?
  6. If you have two quarterbacks... you've really got none....or so the saying goes.
  7. Upside, like Unicorns, the abominable snowman and mute points, does not exist! It is a red herring foisted upon us by Kiper and McShay. Please, for the love of god, stop the upside/ceiling nonsense. Corrected.
  8. I'll tell you what, if i were a QB coming out of school these days, i wouldn't attend any all-star games, i wouldn't attend the combine and I wouldn't host a pro-day....and let the best scouting department draft me. All that the hairdo and McShay have done is create a system that completely tears apart a QB for no other reason than generate increased viewership and clicks. Meanwhile, the GHB toting Crabman, who threw 18 pics, regressed year over year and turned in a completely horrific bowl performance including an artistic recreation of the butt-fumble without the butt, is touted as a sure thing. Sports media has become a system of crusaders, each trying to crusade harder than the next guy. Sadly, you have fewer and fewer guys like Ditka who are willing to tell these other idiots to shut up. And even Ditka is watered down because the who circus is just one big fraternal organization.
  9. So wait, what does that say about Jameis Winston. If Mariota's passes will be picked off in the NFL but weren't (only 4 ints last year and 14 in 3 years) in college, what will happen with Crabman who threw more ints last year (18) than Mariota has in his enitre college career. I ain't buying that the ACC has better defenses than the PAC-12.
  10. Kenny Anderson Don Strock George Blanda
  11. Hernandez failed in life, not on the football field. Aaron never got overpaid, was never an on-field distraction, had no team issues, nor did he ever under-produce. I would be happy with players who gave the bills 3 good seasons and 18 tds in 38 games-played all day. Ah, just a coincidence i guess...an ohio guy pointing out failed Florida players from Urban Meyer.
  12. Still smarting from the beat down that Florida put on a very overconfident buckeye team and bucknut nation? (football and basketball) Yes, as a player, Hernandez was a total failure.....check! I would love a few players from any university that fail so horribly. And as i recall, Spikes wasn't a failure, he just didn't fit in with the Patriot way.
  13. good lord, let Riley Cooper go...it has nothing to do with Cooper. Richie Incognito said things 10x worse, 100x more frequently and here he is on the Bills, are they racist too?
  14. Can you provide a list of those teams and links to quotes which confirm that they all had him not only pegged as a firsrt or second rounder....but that they would have drafted them in either of those rounds with their picks? Otherwise, the retort would be what about "all of those teams" that didn't have him marked as a 1st or 2nd round pick. Then we could all argue which "teams" are smarter than others. My take on EJ is I see a duck and I describe him as a duck....not a good duck, not a bad duck....a duck. To put it another way, all of us here go out to a bar for a beer. Billsfan-4-ever looks at a girl and says, hey guys, that girl right there was the hottest girl at the fat farm where i used to work, if she lost weight, got a boob and a nose job and stopped wearing tube tops and coveralls she would be a 10! Homey, FireChan and Metzelaars with disgust, would call her a fat skank and rate her a 4 (though i suspect homey might go as far as a 7) and I would probably say, that is a 6'4" 237lb (see what I did there) woman who has apparently struggled with her weight her whole life, and her prospects for finding someone to buy her a boob and nose job are slim (pun intended) but she is my sister so I hope for the best. Sorry, i gave myself a chuckle, not meant mean spiritedly (is that word?) at anyone!
  15. As my response said....could he be the starting QB....yes, he certainly could. My next comment was, should he be the starting QB and IMO from what we have seen so far (to date, not projecting the upcoming training camp and pre season), no he should not be the starter. Biggest concern is that EJ is no different today (yesterday really) than he was in college. EJ built his stats against crappy opponents on a superiorly talented team (comparatively speaking) but never really did anything (consistently) that made anyone say....wow, that guy is special. Your statement makes the concept of "develop into a competent starter" sound like a natural progression or an absolute product of being a starter.....it is not.
  16. Sadly, that competition is much closer than some here would like to admit. Whether that is a compliment or an insult really depends on one's perspective.
  17. Honestly Hondo, i am not bagging on you, but this sentence made me laugh. If a coach actually said this, and I believe you that someone did, this would be like saying the that the balls were thrown accurately to where they landed. I mean, a guy running a route was a lot of places before he got to where he should be.
  18. Cool, bring back Tebow! He had more playoff wins in his second season than the Bills in the last 20 years.
  19. Isn't he a red-shirt sophomore? If he stayed for another year, he might throw 30 ints in a season.
  20. the sample size on Jordan Palmer is way too small to know at all....but Tebow, all day long, everyday and twice on sunday (which says as much about how I feel about Sanchez as it does about Tebow). We would actually have more empirical data if Rex had actually played Tebow, but I think (opinion) he was afraid of the backlash that would occur if Tebow actually won after riding (actually it was more like Rex's wife doing the Sanchize riding) Mark long after it was obvious that he wasnt getting the job done with the Jets. To go way off topic, the stubborness/vindictiveness that seemed to surface during the Jets-Tebow experiment scares me that replacing Marrone with Rex is a little of.....Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
