Informed Speculation - Buffalo Rumblings
Bufcomments replied to BillsNYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree He can be on the field for all 3 downs and would upgrade the TE position But #11 pick is too high for him, if the Bills find a trade partner to add some more picks to trade down then maybe you draft Pettigrew if the brass at OBD likes him enough maybe at pick 20 or so I like Brown at *11 we can get a TE in round 2 I hope they dont get Maybin, he added 20 pounds for his pro day and that had to effect his speed -
If you were building a team, what defensive position
Bufcomments replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
without a doubt DT Last time Bills were in playoffs they had Big Ted Washington and Pat Williams in the middle remember? Dumbest thing they did under the Donahoe phase was to let big Pat go The Bills have not been able to stop the run since They had a chance to take Ngata (Ravens) over Whitner which was a huge mistake Second would be an above average DE But a stud DT is your best chance to make your linebackers better A good DE makes your secondary better. -
RIP Mr. Lou Saban How is he NOT on the Wall of Fame ? Coach of our only 2 championships.....was a true leader of men If he was coaching these teams the last few years we would have made the playoffs for sure Ralph do the right thing and put him on the Wall He Deserves to be there no doubt
-
True Belichick can coach yea we know But for the first half maybe we have an edge Plus Brady might....just might be rusty because I doubt he will play much at all in the preseason Like I said I would rather play Brady early than later in the season Hell by the time we played NE last year Cassel was ready . Dont know if he would have played as well against us early in the season Plus IF the game is in Buffalo the crowd will be on the hope train and it will be crazy hyped for the first game
-
ok Mr Smart Pants...... would you straight trade Peters for McNabb?? even though you and I know this would not happen..... but for the sake of discussion...
-
You must have forgot the McNabb/TO drama in Philly.....
-
If it is the first game of the year... with TO?????....... NO Because the Cheats would not have game tape on TO in a bills jersey in an actual game so they would not have a handle yet on how Defend both Evans and TO as the WRs in real game action So this would benefit the Bills for the 1st half at least
-
No way we draft OL at 11th overall You know we need a DE or LB first pick If a trade would happen its because all the top O-lineman are off the board and the Bills could wait and let the other teams pick off the top talented tackles , which in most draft mocks around this may in fact be the case.
-
is Philly that stupid to let McNabb go after he lead them to the NFC championship.......... sorry wont happen even though I would love it
-
HaHA
-
Well I hope so because the Bellichek would not have game film on us for the first game Bad thing is Marshawn would not be able to play. I would love to see us go against Brady early than later in the season

I am concerned that the Bills may not get Jason Peters resigned. He is asking for too much money and the Bills may not think he is worth it ( say 10 million plus a year) I say sign him It hard enough to find a very good LT and like it or not I think he is a very good one. But having said that consider this.... The Bills and Eagles do a draft day trade for Peters( see EastCoastSports draft mock)... Philly is is the market for a LT since they let Tackle Thomas go I say if this were to happen we get Phillys 1st rounder and 4 th round this year Looking at their roster there is not a player I would see that can help us out right now So I think draft picks this year is the best why to go. We would have picks 11 and 21 in the first round if this happened We could have a top DE and LB but our OL would be weak on the left side for real. I know you have some thoughts so fire away

To me they have not done a bad job so far this offseason.. 1. TO...nuff said 2. Starting Center in Hangartner 3. Backup QB to replace J.P. who got plenty of playing time last year..ask TJ Houshmandzadah 4. Increased the interest in the Bills by fans and national media and sold some tickets in the process So far so good. I have to give the GM Brandon some love so far If they sign Peters, and I think they will before training camp starts, this will be a pretty good offseason Plus we have the draft next month to upgrade the D-line , TE and O-line. Cant wait for the draft.....the real way to upgrade your team

Toronto trying to get more games from Buffalo
Bufcomments replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My 2 cents on this survey..... Its just a survey ...does not mean it will happen But the fact that they are even considering it concerns me This is a slap in the face to long-time Bills fans losing one game is bad enough But having said that.... If I was Ralph I would demand that the field be replaced so they can open up the dome during Dec when the game(s) would be played. Seeing the skydome during the game would be great This would also keep the cold weather advantage we lost during that terrible Miami game last year If you are going to have games in Toronto we must keep the cold weather advantage Otherwise it would not be a Bills home game -
Owens not at offseason workouts
Bufcomments replied to ohiobuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is not a problem with me.... TO is one of the best conditioned players of his time The problem with TO is not his work ethic, everybody knows he will be in shape when the season rolls around The Bills knew he may not show so if they don't have a problem with this neither should we... -
Who has better receivers, overall, Bills or Pats?
Bufcomments replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
When I look at the WRs on both teams Kelly......... and I go by top 3... they effect the game the most Pats Moss ,Welker, Galloway Bills......TO, Evans, Reed or even Parish or Johnson Pats win because of experience Still a tough poll to answer because we are guessing what kind of stats TO and Galloway are going to put up this year -
If Brown falls to the Bills they would have to take him Pettigrew is too slow to be a top 15 choice IMO and the draft is deep at TE so the Bills could wait until the 2nd or even 3rd round for a TE I think its between Brown or Cushing or Maybin but I prefer Brown at this point. I would not be mad if they took an O lineman if one falls to them unexpectedly I would be pissed if they took a CB in the first round. Pass Rusher 1st round Best Guard or TE in 2nd

Who has better receivers, overall, Bills or Pats?
Bufcomments replied to Kelly the Dog's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
this is a good poll overall I think the Patroits just because Tom Brady can and does get better production out of his WRs better than Edwards does at this point. TO , Moss same Welker vs Evans Evans is just a deep threat while Welker keeps the chains moving on the regular. Galloway vs Reed that gives the Pats a very dangerous #3 and Brady will know when to get the Ball to him The Bills may have a slight edge in talent but its all about Tom Brady -
I think the TO signing made Crowell rethink his choices, the Bills right now has more talent then the Bucs do at the moment and that maybe a factor. Plus I think what happened last year was a mistake on both sides and is something that can be forgotten as long if Cro can prove he is healthy

To me its kinda simple folks, You dont let a 2 time Pro bowl LT go...... Lets look back to where he was an undrafted free agen, a Tight End out of college. He went from basically a TE to Starting RT to starting LT. LT is the 2nd most important player on any great team behind QB Jason has to get paid what the market says and even though it sucks its the truth of the matter. Now I don't believe he is the sharpest cookie but neither is his agent for giving him bad advice last year and telling his client to hold out last year. If he would have came to work last spring and summer it would have done wonders for his situation ( see Lee Evans) But now both sides have bad tastes in their mouths , Jason for not being paid what he is worth....The Bills for him not coming to the OTAs and training camp and let his team down in the process. The Bills hold the cards in this mess, they can make him honor his contract, hell 4 million sounds good to me But the Bills are smart to upgrade his deal because they dont want to see or have an unhappy camper that protects Trents backside Based on what happened last year id say 8.5 million a year with workout incentives and a roster bonus of 3 million next spring which would give you 11 million within a year with at least 25 million (3 yrs) guarantied But no way I would trade him for draft picks as some of you good people suggested

does OBD have the guts to bring T.O. for a visit??
Bufcomments replied to Bufcomments's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yea that would be better poll topic but its basically the same thing, if they bring him in for a visit that means that they are exploring the possibility A visit is the first step in the signing process -
