Good post DR Marshawn has it... football character and the Bills need a few more of these guys What he does in his personnel life is really none of our business . People pay to see what he does on the field so I think that where it should end....ON THE FIELD. I dont care what they do off the field..... as long as it doesnt hamper the on field performance Bruce, Jim, Thurman were not choir boys off the field and just about everybody who followed the Bills in the 90's knew of this and I am sure the Bills brass knew of this too But the star players on any team, NFL, NBA, NHL you name it are going to get a few passes on what they do off the field because they produce on the field of play............its a sad fact but true THe Bills and the NFL are going to give the Marshawns, the Steve Smiths, the Big Bens of the world every chance to correct the mistakes because at the end of the day these players sell tickets Dont ever forget this NFL is about money and if they got to give name players a chance to mess up and rebound they will do it

right on Hell when i was 22 I could be seen puffing on somethang in somebodys car also but I learned from my mistakes and i"m sure Marshawn will as well. You mention he has to cut off the leeches...yea that maybe true But its a very hard thing to cut off your boys...some of them helped to get you where he is today. He and Mike Phelps made the mistake of smoking weed in public and they got caught. If you think the cops were not following his actions while he was in town ...you need to wake up and smell the coffee. I believe his rights were voilated but thats another post Thousands of people do it but they are not rich and famous so the cops dont care about them They have already made 35,000 dollars of this "investigation" and I use that term tongue in cheek Marshawn has to realize that he is a target of law enforcement and has to act correctly in public or they will continue to take money out of his bank account

on paper this would be a good thing, Garcia could win some games as a backup But I doubt that he would come here to be just a backup. and that would cause another Flutie/Johnson thing in the locker room But the Bills do need a QB with experience but I dont think Garcia is the guy Maybe Chris Simms would be a better choice if you want an ex- Tampa QB

I disagree The Commish can do something if he feels Marshawn was smoking weed and had a gun that the cops says was his. And with 4 blunts and 3 brothers you know damn well what was about or did go down... lol Now time will time what really happened and I have to think that part of the reason that this all went down because there were 3 Black men in an expensive car which makes cops in LA curious...if you know what I mean.... This is his second strike so to speak, am sure last summer Goodell let him off with a warning... This time he will have to do something...not just for the leagues image but to help Marshawn get some help and fly right

If the Bills cut Lynch they are idiots...nuff said BTW he was the only Bill in the Pro bowl, opps sorry Jason Peters, and was the leading rusher in the game Secondly..... You guys have short memories or are too young to remember that Bruce Smith was suspended for 4 games for cocaine REMEMBER ??? And to nobodys surprise he still had a Hall of Fame career So if Bruce can make a mistake and move on from it so can Marshawn Im just saying.....

ok here's my two cents worth.... The cops wont make a big deal over the weed...if it was in baggies or something that would be a different story The gun charge......well the lawyers will handle that part, it was in the trunk of the car so that helps Marshawn a little bit If it was in the vechile itself he might be in bigger trouble than he is now. Note to Marshawn....please toke at home where the cops cant pull up beside you if you going to blaze But its Commish Goodel im worried about. This is Lynch second strike and im worried that he will be made an example of and get 4 games off for voilating the leagues conduct policy. The Lawyers will take care of the situation without to much trouble But I would expect Fred Jackson to get busy for the first 2 or 4 games next season Now this puts the Bills in a tight spot with Jackson's agent and he will get overpaid as a result but I think he has earned a hefty pay raise anyway

I agree with this post. Johnson and Reed played well and we still need to see if Hardy pans out. But we still need a WR because Hardy will not be 100 percent at the start of 09 Furrey would come to the Bills cheaper than Plax, Boldin and we damn sure dont need Ocho cinco I Love Boldin but he would cost to much and the Bills have major Line needs If they would go to a brand name receiver I would go after TJ Houshmandsadah

LT he changed the game Love all the votes for Bruce and I had to think about it for a minute or two but Taylor in his prime was better than Bruce Hard to believe that but its true Taylor was part of 2 Super bowl winners "Just play like some crazed dogs" one of my fav quotes Ill say this too...if the Bills had won just 1 super bowl I would have giving it to Bruce dont forget he is the 2nd best DE to play behind the Late great Reggie White Taylor was the best LB to play the game period although Ray Lewis is a Very very close second IMO

I would say top ten for Lynch right now Peterson best pure talent Portis Westbrook when healthy best overall Jacobs...who wants to tackle that truck Parker...maybe the fastest LT past his prime true but still can get 1000 Barber...I like how he runs Lynch...gives everything he has behind a weak line Its amazing what Lynch has done so far behind an average line Hes a 1500 yd back behind the giants or Carolinas lines

For once I totally agree GET HIM I love the idea of Tory Holt in a Bills jersey He would surely make both Lee Evans and Reed more effective and a good TE in the draft and you have a much better ball control offense GOOOD POST dude

DE, TE, Center If we can get a pass rush we would be pretty good on Defense If we can upgrade to center and TE positions we would have a sniff at the playoffs But coaching needs to be upgraded also

The fact that the Bills went after Wake strongly tells me they are targeting Pass rushers either in the draft or the Free agent market. I would not be surprised at all if the Bills went after Suggs, they have enough room under the cap and if they did you best believe that Kelsey is gone They know need pass rushers because Kelsey is below average and Schobels best days are behind him plus his is coming off a foot injury and they need some insurance just in case this is a nagging injury and it might be. although they need a TE badly because I believe that Royal is toast they can pick up one in round 2 or 3 I wonder what Kiper is smoking these days , or he doesnt know want the teams real needs are anymore

If Jackson was 23 or 24 this trade might work . I love Boldin but giving up Lynch would not be a wise move Lynch at this point of his career has more upside than Boldin. Boldin production will drop off in a year or 2 while Lynch production will go up behind a better center and guards Lynch behind the right line is a potential 1500 yd back. no way you give him up Beast Mode BABY over B word Mode (Boldin)

I totally agree........... Boldin EARNED the right to be out there Id be super pissed knowing that I caught over 80 balls during the season plus over 1000 yds , knowing that you can help the team greatly and not being out there during the NFC championship game... Reminds me of the Bills not using Fred Jackson during the TO Miami game.....

Good thought BUT.......... Boldin is 29 and has had injury issues during his career. Plus you would have to draft Lynch replacement and Jackson himself is over 26 I like the thought but I would get TJ Housmandsadah from Cinny if you want an all Pro with little locker room problems and keep Lynch I would trade Roscoe Parish and a draft pick for TJ.

No No No weight gain has little to do with it Talent does and the Bills dont have enough talented players at the DE position right now in either scheme, Schobel included. and in a 3-4 your line would have to be bigger, maybe i should have put that in but i figured you would see that

I would like to see Philly win it just because of D. McNabb First he was benched this season, second because of all the flack he took over the "I didnt know about the overtime rule" Third I think he and Brain Dawkins deserve it. They have paid their dues so to speak So does andy Reid but he kills me with his playcalling at times. since we dumbed up and decieded not to change the coaching staff............... we need to add 3 playmakers on Defense in the 4-3 we use now 2 DE's and 1 pass rushing LB that can make plays. Free agency is right around the corner so we will see what the Bills do because it will affect how they draft

Well I have to disagree. Who says Denney or Schobel would be the ends anyway? They have to upgrade in any style defense they play at the end spot. This is just an hypothetical 3-4 thought 1. Stroud gets double teamed on every play as it is. Beef him up a little bit, remember Jeff Wright played NT beside Bruce Smith. 2. Schobel at a heavier weight at end would look good at that spot. he is good against the run, so is Denney, well he is better than Kelsey which isnt saying alot. You would have Williams, Johnson and Kelsey ( or somebody better) in the rotation on the line. 3. You would think the Bills would have to add a pass rushing LB to the mix. so ill make a correction Draft pick or Free agent LB, Poz and Crowell in the middle with Mitchell on the outside. Those would be the LBs the secondary would remain the same as it is now. Hoping that Greer comes back. The key in the 3-4 defense is a 2 above average DE and a pass rushing LB. If they get the right players I for one would like to see them switch But as I said eariler, Fewell wont run a 3-4
