  1. Really? YoloSource? Very Frank Reich-like hire
  2. If Daboll learned from last game, he'll have Yeldon active instead of Perry. Backs and TEs in the passing game can win this for Buffalo if the D holds up.
  3. Who do they have on staff currently that will be their Rooney Rule patsy?
  4. Indeed If his version of not pretty means getting it done with timely scores on the road against top-5 defensive units, then he's going to play in this league for a long time.
  5. Two things here: 1) as I said above, with a very minor tweak in the wording it could apply to a half dozen QBs this week. 2) the intent wasn't to prop up Allen; the point is that it isn't always pretty for good QBs. Sometimes getting the job done looks an awful lot like what Josh did last night The more you say it, the more we win, so keep going. They went into a hostile environment and beat a 9-win team that is fighting for their lives, and did so despite turning the ball over twice. But jOSh AlLeN iS TErrIBlE !!1!1!!1 Guess I just struggle to understand why Allen winning games bothers some people so much
  6. I purposely wrote my post so that it applied to both Allen and Brady. Had I gone even more ambiguous, it could've applied to Rodgers, Goff, and Garoppolo too.
  7. I'll have to take a look. I'll also have to give some thought to whether I'd rather have Phillips at $15.5M plus Star's dead money hit or the cap space to sign others and a 3rd round comp pick.
  8. He's got 9.5 sacks on the season...among DTs, only Aaron Donald has more (11.0). The next closest is DeForest Buckner with 6.5. Phillips is 26 years old, and is a dangerous pass rusher that also happens to weigh 340 lbs. My estimated price tag on the open market: $15.5M per year.
  9. No excuse for an AFC East QB to go on the road against an AFC North opponent with a lesser record, barely complete over 50% of his passes, fall behind 10-7, and be forgiven simply because he accounts for 2 TDs and the best corner in the game bails him out with 2 huge INTs... ...Tom Brady should be embarrassed.
  10. This dude is getting so PAID it's ridiculous
  11. He hurt his ankle last week. I don't think it was an easy INT. It was more of a 50/50 ball...and yes he made a good play there. I actually think that the better play (hindsight being 20/20) may have been to run through the pattern and draw the DPI, but not really upset about it.
  12. I enjoy Collinsworth as much as anyone, and he was insufferable last night. He must've said "Josh Allen's biggest problem is" at least 3 times in the first quarter alone. Chris, he can't possibly be that bad. The Bills were up 7-3 in the 2nd, and he and Al talked about the Steelers for 7 straight minutes. Um, guys, the Bills are 9-4 (at the time) and winning in prime time on the road. They exist. Do your job and talk about them. Then the total lack of any recognition when he leads a go-ahead scoring drive in the 4th. Gross. I really do like the SNF team. CC is brilliant with his breakdowns and Al is affable as can be. Michelle Tafoya is as sharp and poignant as any sideline reporter in the business...but they had a really bad night from a quality standpoint.
  13. I think B- is right And you know what? That's absolutely fine with me One more time in iambic pentameter? We continue to be in complete lockstep on Allen. Most encouraging to me is that every time the staff lets the kid play football, he seems to step up and deliver. If they'd just trust him to make plays he'd grow faster, but what we need is in there. I'm sure of it.
  14. Watch for a flea flicker...
  15. There is absolutely no possibility that an organization that was fined half a million dollars and docked a 1st round pick for shooting video of a team's coaching staff would not make it thoroughly clear that videotaping the other team's coaching staff sending in offensive signals for the entire first quarter is not okay. Suppose that what you're saying is true. They want to run video under what the scout is saying. Don't you suppose that, at some point, the discussion of "are you looking at the other coaches during the game to pick up on signals?" had to take place? Wouldn't someone, anyone, know enough to say "yeah, but don't film that; we got in enormous amounts of trouble for that once already"? Nobody in the entire organization knew that the team could get in trouble for this? Forgive me, but that's simply impossible to believe. And even if I did believe it, then the utter stupidity of said organization to be so blind to the potential for a screw up should net them a punishment on its face.
  16. Better spread 'em out and hope our TEs can actually catch the ball.
  17. The other thing I noticed is that they typically allow an offense to use their slot defender as a key. If Daboll and Josh have picked up on that tendency and can get comfortable with it, the hot throws will be there all game long.
  18. Neither of those players were having even a decent year for them. JuJu had only 3 games with more than 70 yards (out of 10), and Connor average 3.3 YPC or fewer in 5/8 games.
  19. We do? Not so sure...they're 24th in rushing yards per game, and only 5 teams average fewer YPC than Pittsburgh. Contrast that with Buffalo, who averages almost a full YPC more.
  20. My problem is this: what possible reason could the film crew have to shoot the Bengals' sideline for 8 full minutes of game time? Well, that's one of my problems. There's also the matter of why only the visiting team was informed, and how it's possible that an organization as detailed and as publicly notorious for unsavory action as NE****** could not make absolutely, 100% certain that anyone associated with them follows procedure to a tee. Then there's the whole massive coincidence that this occurs the very week prior to them playing the team whose sideline they filmed. Not to mention that the spygate article specifically mentions having built-in excuses in place such as "shooting a team documentary" and wearing non-team apparel. Oh, and the crew was shooting from a location in the box where they didn't belong. For good measure, they also asked if they could just delete the footage and forget about it. It absolutely stinks.
  21. Some day I'll teach you a trick called "Google" so that you don't have to wait. By the way, are we judging teams solely on their records? Cuz if so, the Bills are 9-4...so, ya know...
  22. I'm sure that there's no reason Andy Reid goes to max protect about 50% of the time that Mahomes takes a deep shot. None at all. Try harder.
