  1. Dude was open plenty enough yesterday. Let's worry about the QB and OC getting him the ball
  2. Agreed Way too much reliance on the zone read as well--it slows the progression and makes life more difficult in the run game for the OL
  3. The problem was Taylor. He still holds the ball waaaaay too long, and today it got him beat up. Part of that is the lack of screens/quick-hitters to force the ball out quickly, and part of it is the total unwillingness to take a shot deep to Goodwin to back off the D.
  4. We should officially change his name to "Marquise-Goodwin-if-he-can-stay-healthy"
  5. It makes them too potato-chip like for me.
  6. It's the oil. French fries need to be fried in animal fat, not industrial seed oils. It's the reason that fries made with duck fat, lard, beef tallow, etc. taste so incredibly delicious.
  7. Gilmore was done post-CBA. His 5th-year option was picked up, which puts him at the average of the 10 highest-paid CBs in the NFL. He's not as good a tackler as some of the guys, but his numbers are very similar.
  8. If they structure Gilmore's contract properly, the break-point will occur after year 3, at which time they can release him and save money on the cap. Darby's new deal (assuming it's an extension) would kick in after the 2018 season, so there is no one season in which they'd be paying 2 premium CB salaries. Exactly. Another bonus to having a cash-heavy owner. The iron man guys are Sherman and Peterson--they never miss games. Gilmore's right in line with all the others (Norman, Haden, etc.). He's missed 11 games in his 4 years (same as Norman). Haden has missed 16 games in 6 years. I don't deny that his health is a concern--it's just not as out-of-the-ordinary as some folks believe.
  9. He played some guard at A&M
  10. This move appears to put the team about $6.5M under the cap right now (if Spotrac is to be believed). Given that Gilmore already counts $11M+ against the cap, I don't think a new deal for him would change much, though the current amount of space would allow them to guarantee a high portion of his 2016 base salary to front-load the cash flow--might be a nice incentive to get him to sign.
  11. Here's Wood's current deal: http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/eric-wood-5637/ Looks like his restructured deal will look something like this: Year Base Signing Roster Workout Total Dead Savings 2016 $1,000,000 $3,058,333 $150,000 $4,208,333 $6,116,667 -$1,908,333 2017 $4,125,000 $3,058,333 $250,000 $150,000 $7,583,333 $3,058,333 $4,525,000 2018 $4,125,000* $1,258,333 $250,000* $150,000* $5,783,333 $1,258,333 $4,525,000 *Guesses based on 2017
  12. Sweet...sounds like he could be a long-term backup option.
  13. It's not for lack of effort, I promise. I've actually had grilled pineapple with cinnamon and brown sugar. I psyched myself up so much--working to convince myself that this was my moment--I would enjoy pineapple and be changed! I tasted it, the cinnamon and sugar were delicious, and I was sure I had finally beaten my aversion. Then, after about 2 seconds, the pineapple flavor hit me, and it was like my mouth had been impinged upon by a foulness not previously known to it. I spat it out instinctively, and sat down in shame. Goooooooooooooooooooooogny, this is unacceptable out of you
  14. I want to like pineapple; I really do. I simply can't...I have a serious aversion--it tastes so bad to me that my body practically produces a gag reflex
  15. I see what you did there
  16. With no hesitation my choice would be Marshall Yanda.
  17. It is indeed already in certain parts of the country, and others are implementing it in a tiered fashion. They may, in fact, have been planning it all along, but I'd find it unrealistic to pretend that forcing more than a 100% wage increase on fast food companies isn't going to usher in the era faster.
  18. It's the same 3-tech position that he's been playing for the better part of the last 3 seasons...the only difference is that the open-side defender is a rush LB ("R") instead of a 9-tech DE.
  19. Kyle isn't playing DE; he's playing DT, or the "T" position in Rex's base D: In the base D, Kyle is the "T", Washington is the "E", and Dareus is the "N". For this game, Bryant plays the "N".
  20. Van was the same way unfortunately. "He's got a man, he lets it fly, and...it...is...................we'll wait....caught! Caught for a TD by--how do you like that?" I agree with Bob Papa--he's very good.
