  1. First play from scrimmage is a deep ball for Sammy
  2. Marquette King makes watching punts fun
  3. I feel like there's a theme here, but I can't put my finger on it Mine: Von Miller, Russell Wilson, JJ Watt, Luke Kuechly
  4. It's totally believable. When Lynn was promoted to fill the Roman vacancy, I said that he was auditioning for the interim HC job if/when Rex is dismissed. I'll be watching closely.
  5. I think his point is more along the lines of why not wait and see what actually happens before criticizing that which hasn't happened yet?
  6. I knew Richie--good man. Used to play pickup with us whenever he was around. Don't try to block his slapper; you'll regret it for weeks! RIP
  7. Of course not. I know you like to be accurate, so I was merely pointing out that he didn't drop into coverage often; it was rare. You know I'm not a Rex guy.
  8. Not sure how you define "often", but just for reference, Dareus dropped into coverage a total of 5 times in 2015. http://www.cover1.net/2016/02/20161212015-bills-defensive-study-defensive-line/
  9. And which of those applies to this team on a consistent basis? The answer is neither
  10. That's not really true at all.
  11. He's not an RFA after this season, and at worst he'll get $10M/year. He was indeed awful on Thursday; that doesn't mean that he hasn't been a very good player for some time now.
  12. #stayhomeformahomes
  13. Good. If your offense isn't centered around getting the ball to your best player, then you should be fired
  14. Mahomes had another huge outing
  15. Great post. From a guy that was there, I can tell you for sure that there were open targets all game long. Goodwin, specifically, was consistently open.
  16. This isn't new either; he was missing reads all last season as well--difference is that he was hitting enough boundary throws to compensate.
  17. I think you're going to see Josh McDaniels get his 2nd shot next offseason. He's done a tremendous job with NE and seems like the kind of innovative offensive mind that could succeed if he learned from his own mistakes in first HC stop. As for guys I'd like here, here's a shortlist: Darrell Bevell Sean McDermott Mike Shula
  18. Last two I can remember are Detroit, with Jim Bob Cooter igniting the offense last year; and Baltimore canning Cam Cameron in favor of Jim Caldwell--they ended up winning the Super Bowl
  19. Well, Pegula himself said the item about Whaley getting his crack at Rex, and that after it "they all" felt Rex was the guy. I don't have the link, but it's in the Russ super-thread. As to the item about Hue Jackson, there are a few people on this board that have excellent track records with info from inside 1 Bills Drive...more than one has intimated that tidbit.
  20. He wouldn't have to; if he was adamantly against the hire, the Pegulas would've listened and at least taken it into account That's not how they operate.
  21. No, that's not what he's saying, and I think you're smart enough to see that
  22. It's true that Whaley had Hue Jackson as his #1 after the first round of interviews, and possibly after as well It's also true, however, that Whaley got his run at Rex during the 2nd interview, and was on board with the hiring.
  23. What game are you watching? The Jets OL isn't good, Nor did they look good yesterday. Hughes and LorAx both victimized them for sacks, and they couldn't run at all until we had to drop everyone back after our corners were atrocities back there. Carpenter left the game in the 2nd quarter and didn't return; both Clady and Gio got beat for sacks. The OL isn't the issue at all. Taylor holds the ball longer than any other QB in the NFL.
