I cried when Ralph Wilson died. He gave us the Bills, and I've spent more time bonding with some members of my family in that stadium than I have outside of it. I also cried later that same year when they beat the Bears in Week 1... You see, my mother (Who had passed a year earlier) did not care for Ralph. She was, however, an enormous fan of Fred Jackson. In the first game played after Ralph's passing, the game-deciding play was Fred's 38-yard run where he gave Chris Conte the stiff arm of a lifetime. It felt like my mother and Ralph worked together on that one. Yes, it's dumb and irrational...but it happened.

He's throwing the ball quickly, accurately, and with really nice velocity. It's early, but if he can continue to do that consistently, he'll be a top-5 pick...probably even #1 overall.

The OL started to fail them last year. You'd like to think that they were prepared, considering that they drafted Ogbuehi and Fisher in the first 2 rounds in 2015, and sprinkled both into their offense in the last 2 years to get them reps...didn't work out that way (or at least in hasn't yet)

Phrasing dude; phrasing I have my moments. I actually tend to scout LBs better than any other position; for some reason I have a really good feel for them. I can regularly identify Day 3 LBs that end up starting as rookies; for example: I was all over DeVondre Campbell and Elandon Roberts). So yeah, even a blind squirrel, ya know?

I would suspect that had as much to do with having all of Edelman, Amendola, Malcolm Mitchell, and Martellus Bennett on the field as well. Right now, Brady is down to Hogan, Cooks, Dwayne Allen, and a bunch of question marks. If Amendola comes back healthy and Gronk can regain his form from the days of yore (as opposed to looking old and slow like he did in week 1), then I suspect you'll see the passing game pick up right where they left off in 2016.

Well, it matters from a standpoint of comfort level IMO. He's missing Edelman and Amendola--the two WRs with which he has the highest comfort level. He hasn't played with Cooks at all, and only has 1 season with Hogan.

Based on Week 1, Time-to-throw is a mixed bag at both ends. Because a guy that doesn't belong on an NFL roster doesn't belong on this team's roster...and the fact that he was apparently being considered for a starting role is rather disturbing, don't you think? No, there's no way you have the same problem with a guy like Zuttah, Lelito, or even a Brandon Fusco type (all of them are available right now). A world of difference in player quality.

Yes, we're fans. We also seem to know that Ducasse can't play football, whereas our OL coach doesn't get it (and, frankly, nobody can explain why). The guy is terrible. Now, if you'd like to refute the idea that Ducasse is terrible, go for it. I'm listening. If not, then my God man, what are you commenting about?

I suspect you'll see a fair amount of Tolbert as the lone back in obvious passing situations, as he's a solid blocker. If it were me, I'd try to leave him unblocked a few times early and run a few trap plays in his direction; hopefully hit a few big-gainers on the ground and force him to take an extra half-second to read his keys moving forward. I don't think you'll see a lot of help from Wood, since that's a heckuva reach for him to get to Miller's outside shoulder. More likely you'll see Mills squeeze down on the B-gap to try to prevent Short from knifing through quickly; better to take your chances that Mills can squeeze down the gap and get a half-push on the LDE (who you're then hoping will be cut/bumped by the back in pass pro) than let Short take the path of least resistance. At least that's how I'd approach it.
