  1. Hands measured 9-1/2" at the Senior Bowl
  2. I have seen plenty of power lifters gain as much as 1/2" of height from decompression of the midsection/rib space after certain reflexive activation drills.
  3. He's going to check all of the boxes this week.
  4. I agree with both of you. From the simple standpoint of leadership and filling a positional need, having Kyle as a bird in the hand is huge. They should still be signing a starting DT like DaQuan Jones or Justin Ellis as a FA, and drafting someone in round 3-4 that can play 30-40 snaps/game. That way Kyle can play more in obvious passing situations and take less of a beating. I would be signing him to a 2-year, $10M deal with $7M signing bonus; vet min base in 2018.
  5. I have a feeling Kyle's number is going to be $5M per...Domata Peko and Brandon Mebane--2 33-year old DTs that have never made the pro bowl--are getting $3.75M and $4.5M AAV, respectively.
  6. Just FYI @26CornerBlitz, I started a separate thread for measurements/numbers to curate the content slightly. I don't really care if the two get merged or stay separate; simply wanted you to know in case you wanted to post numbers/measurements in that location as well to keep it all in one place.
  7. From my years in the restaurant industry and eating hundreds of meals at restaurants, here's what I've found works best in this situation: Let the server know that you're dissatisfied with the quality in the most respectful way possible. Something to the effect of "I know this isn't your fault, and I can tell from the way that my steak is cooked that your kitchen staff typically produces excellent quality, but my wife's steak isn't really up to that same standard. Is there anything that can be done so that we can both enjoy the type of quality that your restaurant has a reputation of serving? I really appreciate your help." If it really is a nice place, then the vast majority of the time, the restaurant owner/manager wants to know when something isn't right, the chef wants to serve you the highest quality food, and the server wants to make it right to increase their gratuity. I've also noticed that when you frame your complaint in the context of asking for help, you appeal to the establishment's desire to fulfill your request. Now, I've probably only had to take that approach 2-3 times in my dining out life, but every time, without fail, not only is the situation remedied, but it happens quickly, with a positive attitude, and some type of complimentary item (dessert, wine, drink, etc.) is provided.
  8. Sam Darnold's turnovers aren't a hand size issue: Daniel Jeremiah‏Verified account @MoveTheSticks 4m4 minutes ago More Sam Darnold 6’3 3/8 221 Hand 9 3/8
  9. Maybe it's the optimist in me, but until we see the same brand of football on Sundays this fall, I'm willing to chalk the on-field approach up to it being the team's only path to consistent victories last season.
  10. Aside from QB, the key off-season move will be what they do at WR IMO. If they can't or won't get Bryant, maybe they can flip a pick for a speed guy like Travis Benjamin or pry an overpriced player like Randall Cobb from GB.
  11. It depends. Do I just care about a ring, or do I want the right combination of (a) money, (b) the chance to start, (c) cost of living, (d) schools (I may or may not have a family), (e) familiarity with coach/players/system, (f) potential to win a Super Bowl, (g) team's cap situation (which will dictate how many other key FAs they can bring in), (h) team's draft capital, etc.? Yeah, there's more to it than "Buffalo sucks!!!11!!!1!"
  12. Yeah, I have zero problem going hard after the guy you want, and then drafting someone in round 1 or 2 again next year. Caution to the wind; you need to get multiple irons in the fire.
  13. So there's no chance that any FA of any worth would ever come here? That's clearly not true. It's never been true. What's the purpose in stating literal falsehoods that add nothing to the discussion?
  14. You don't set the franchise back 5 years by getting it wrong. You set the franchise back 5 years by getting it wrong and not hedging your bet by drafting another potential franchise guy within the next 2 drafts.
  15. Not at this point, but if Glenn is moved off the team then we will be.
  16. I have Ballage as a R4 guy right now
  17. This is how I keep looking at it...2017 was sort of a "re-shape the team image and try to survive on the field" year; 2018 will be a "fill some key spots, set the stage, and try to keep on-field performance up" year; 2019 will be a "load up on talent and let's make a run" year if all goes well.
  18. Then you're going to need to keep drafting them relatively high in perpetuity...which is fine as long as you have a franchise QB
  19. I'm aware that they run a 30 front, and it's fine if you don't think they'll go after Mo. I think he fits Ozzie's typical FA profile: very high production in the past, still under the age of 30, has history with some of his coaching staff, and won't count against the comp pick formula. It doesn't always have to make sense to you on the surface, but for a team that didn't get a ton of production from their front, a guy that fits their scheme as a 5-tech and fits the profile that their GM typically likes to pursue, who also happens to have grown up less than a 3-hour drive from their stadium, is someone to watch.
  20. I wouldn't say that they're stacked; aside from Williams their DL consists of Brent Urban (who's a FA), Michael Pierce, Willie Henry, Chris Wormley, Carl Davis, and Bronson Kaufusi. Not a lot of production there--a combined 5 sacks and 69 tackles in 2017.
  21. I have him graded as a RT, but I like the player for sure.
  22. Yes, they took a step back when they got rid of a very talented DT. I have zero interest in paying big dollars to a guy that already quit on a team once. If I'm going to pay big money to a FA DLman, it's going to be someone that is (a) in their prime, (b) coming off of a very good season, and (c) hasn't shown any issues with work ethic or attitude.
  23. 2. #Buckeyes OT Jamarco Jones Height: 6-4 Weight: 299 Hand: 9 4/8 Arm: 35 1/8 Wingspan: 85 1/8
  24. A malcontent with a reputation for laziness and quitting on his team after getting paid isn't exactly the type that this regime strives to obtain.
