i work in Philly and they really arent good fans. The majority I talk to really have little knowledge of football. they dont pay attention to much other than the Eagles, and only if they are winning. They start to lose and the bandwagon drains off quickly (if you think 2bd is bad. Its the same way with the Flyers. People here just dont stick with their teams when it is going bad with the exception of the Phillies. I think a lot of good fans were priced out when the moved to the linc. I dont think they have anything in common with Buffalo fans. Trust me, they dont deserve a super bowl.

coy wire has been a real surprise. I am happy for him. Nice guy. He used to spend all summer on the field with a trainer/coach and (oddly) Travis Henry.

Let's go back to our 90's uniforms.

I dont despise the current jerseys as I do the sabres' primary jersey, but there are so many better options. -

the current retro uniforms they wear should be their permanent jerseys. i work away from Buffalo with a lot of neutral football fans and they all agree those uni's are by far the Bills' best, -
haha., yeah. barefoot. he is very good too. I think he kicks for S. Miss? I would be all about grabbing Caldwell in the 3rd round. However, he may go before that in the late 2nd round. Maybe get a late second round pick from trading down in round 1 and use that for Caldwell. They must get either Mack or Caldwell out of this draft. I am really hoping they deal with their DL before the draft. I dont want them to be forced to pick the best DE available. So: If Curry or Oher are available at pick 11. Pick him. if not: Trade down and get TE (Gresham or Pettigrew) Round 2 pick 11 Darrius Heyward-Bey, WR, Maryland Late Round 2 pick Caldwell Rest of the draft go with Best Player Available (or who our warped front office thinks is best)

Ill feel awesome if Arizona wins a Super Bowl before Buffalo

Arizona used to be the joke of the league
May Day 10 replied to RunTheBall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yes you are correct about San Fran. However, theyre still considered one of the NFL's greatest franchises (I guess as far as Superbowl wins). I think San Fran and the Raiders can ride that and not look like the biggest losers to the rest of the football world. -
What did the Bills accomplish this season??
May Day 10 replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
accomplishments. they were able to impose their will on the run pretty well over the last part of the season. McKelvin came along nicely. its not too popular, but it is the chosen direction of the team: continuity -

I would say that Buffalo is in a short list of NFL losers at this point. 9 years of no playoffs will do that to you. I would say the biggest jokes are Buffalo Cincinnati (even though they had one good year) Cleveland Detroit you could possibly add New Orleans to the group. -
independantly, I noticed the same thing and glad its not just my imagination. They need to flag him for that before someone gets paralyzed. Total B.S.

Im not too sure Orakpo is the guy. I would try to pike up a DL via FA. Id want to trade down if Curry and Oher are off the board.
-
That seems to be exactly where the league stands now. Look at the 8 teams remaining. Now subtract the 2 teams who won flukey divisions. Tennessee Pittsburgh Baltimore NY Giants Philadelphia Carolina I think the Bills are close to having the necessary ground game. A very good center can be had in round 2. (there are 4 of them to choose from). The defense is not THAT far off. But they do need a few key personnel at key spots. If they were to somehow land Haynesworth and draft Aaron Curry, our defense could already be there.
-
I would like to see them draft Gresham for TE. (After hopefully shoring the DL through FA)
-
I agree with the guy who said the Bills should overhaul the existing stadium much like Soldier Field. The problem is, it would take more than a Buffalo winter and a summer. I would sacrifice a half or full season in Toronto if I knew the Bills were in Buffalo to stay once the "new stadium" were built. As far as building a brand new stadium in Niagara Falls.... Unions would see to it that it would never happen

I think they are best served picking up the best available DL in free agency. Their draft options sitting at #11 (whether you draft or trade down) look much, much better if they arent forced to draft the best available DE. I dont think any of these DE's in the draft are the answer. It will cost huge bucks, but it sounded like Ralph was willing to spend in FA. Could you imagine our line with Haynesworth and Stroud in the middle. Speaking of Stroud, I sense he really likes it here and will be a good ambassador to lure someone here. If the DL is shored up via FA. You pick Curry or Oher at 11 if available. If not you trade down. If the scouts are hell bent on getting Alex Mack, take him. If not, TE Gresham. There are 2-3 other good C's to be had in Round 2. So I guess, Im roundaboutly saying I would like Gresham

what I remember from Kelly's last season (or 2) was almost zero pass protection. If we go back in time and get him the protection, he would have been able to succeed a few more years.

I dont want a new stadium. I guarantee we will be reminiscing and longing for the old days in RWS. It totally changes and ruins the gameday experience. I have friends who are Pats fans who wont even go to games anymore

I got sick of comcast, got directv and couldnt be happier. when I move back to Buffalo Time Warner will not see one cent out of me.

You Can Scratch LA Off the List
May Day 10 replied to May Day 10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think everyone also underestimates the NFL's ripeness for expansion (once the economy straightens out. Thinking about it, Im not sure if its in the NFL's interest to blow off a popular region to move to LA. I guess Toronto remains our biggest threat because theoretically its in the same region. However, I dont think it would be far-fetched to see expansion teams in Toronto and LA. I dont believe a team in Toronto would suffocate the Bills franchise. -

May Day 10 replied to May Day 10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, but I will feel better if part ownership is obtained by a billionaire who wants to move a portable team to Los Angeles. If and when the time comes, there will be no need to look at Buffalo. -
Miami Playoff Atmosphere
May Day 10 replied to NavarreFL_Bills_Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you would think that people there are pumped beyond belief to host a playoff game. The Ralph would be rocking. -
LA is one of our adversaries in keeping the Bills here. With LA off the relocation radar, the Bills are considerably more safe. I dont see the league hurrying back to Oakland if they are gone (and Al Davis is too). http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3809431

that away schedule seems brutal
-
id be upset... but there really hasnt been any reason they should give the Bills respect. I cant blame the overconfidence

so the Jets need to win AND Baltimore OR New England loses New England needs to win AND Miami OR Baltimore loses
