15,000 seats left for Jags game Don't look for
May Day 10 replied to Hammered a Lot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Im really sick and tired of this clown kicking crap in our face every time the franchise that he is in charge of falls short. It is a different time now than in the 90's. NFL football is more popular. According to Brandon himself, the Bills have "regionalized". The internet has streamlined buying and selling tickets. Deals can be rolled out for December to buy the tickets, put in a deposit on the following season and get playoff preference, etc. Brandon and the Bills need to stop using that as a crutch for their ineptitude. I have tickets for the rest of the season and I am done going to meaningless games.... brandon's comments are making me consider not renewing. I just cant take the back-talk with the blackouts and with Toronto. -
Its Wilson's choice..... Does he want an NFL stadium to bear his name in the future, possibly have a statue outside the stadium, and have his most profound legacy continue years after his passing?

13 pro teams hurting for fans...one NFL team
May Day 10 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is true I am an Indians fan and its really tough to get emotionally attached and even watch the games the second half of the season. Over the last 10 years, as salaries have hit the stratusphere, my fandom has waned (as has my attention to MLB). I would definitely like to see some sort of changes to MLB structurally. Either put in a cap/minimum cap/revenue sharing... or adopt a promotion/relegation system throughout the ranks. -
50-60 yard FG's are off the Bills table
May Day 10 replied to mitchmurraydowntown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no. There is some weird loyalty to this guy because he is money inside 30 yards or something. They even wasted the roster spot on a Kicker they were hoping had an NFL leg. just another botched move by this joke. -
Bills Need to Market Themselves Better
May Day 10 replied to Storm Front's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You would be surprised. I used to come from Philly to attend games. Whenever I would head back I would see tons of Bills people at every rest area I would stop at up to Syracuse. Then I would see plenty of people on 81 South with Bills stuff on their cars all the way to Binghamton. Now White Plains does not make sense. Especially with the Giants' success, the Jets' 'marketability', standing up to the Bills' perpetual ineptitude. Maybe if the Bills were good they can get aggressive... but not now. The Jets moving into Cortland p1sses me off a bit, and I think Central NY should be Bills country. Not sure what they are doing there. It seems WNY marketing is nearly non-existant. The best marketing though, like has been stated, is winning. -
RIP King - needed to put him asleep last night

Sorry dude. Sucks to hear. Remember all the good times and the 11 good years after the rescue. -
Man missing after Bills game found dead, per WGR
May Day 10 replied to DPR4444's topic in Off the Wall Archives
the lack of urgency from the police leads me to believe there is almost zero chance of 'foul play'. They would have immediately come out to the public desperate for any information. Methinks the authorities have a pretty clear picture of what happened and are waiting for testing, etc to confirm it. -
this is crazy ridiculous and it sounds like you ran into a lot of terrible luck. I have gone to between 50 and 100 games and I have never been puked on, seen anyone puke in the seats, had my car vandalized/puked on, or have had any trouble finding a parking spot. In fact, I think before "disney style" parking, the attendants would walk around when the lots were full in order to make people move their items that were sitting in a spot. I know its probably tough, but dont base your entire judgement on that one terrible day. It sounds like it was one for the books, not the norm.

Do we really need stadium comfort improvements?
May Day 10 replied to WotAGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
yup. I was in 241 for 4 seasons, but moved to 201 this year. mid-quarter is a necessary evil. -
how to make the Pro Bowl More interesting
May Day 10 replied to TheBackupQB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I say, just name a team by a mixed formula of writers, players, and head coaches. Have a 1st team and 2nd team named. Reveal them the week before or of the Superbowl. This way you get 1st and 2nd team pro bowlers at each position. Nobody can decline, and being named is an honor similar to a "Gold Glove", and carries no further committment. Replace the Pro Bowl with a skills competition. Hitting Targets with passes, hitting moving targets, furthest pass, slalom like out and back course for receivers, 100 yard race for RBs, Longest FG, Accurate Punt, etc... The "Pro Bowl" 1st and 2nd team can be revealed during the skills competition. -

Basically the concourses are jam-packed, like shoulder to shoulder front to back, pushing, and shoving. If you try for the bathroom and/or buy a beer, you will miss the beginning of the 3rd quarter. Plus, people get pushy at halftime cutting in line to get in before the beer cut-off, or at the bathroom because they held it all half. Its really frustrating and stress inducing. Back when cigs were legal it was at least fun to get above ground, have a little bit of personal space, and watch some funny hijinx from afar. I have learned that you are better off just staying in the seat. So I guess I would appreciate a bigger common area/concourses and possibly a bathroom situation that doesnt require missing a few series. Maybe make concessions (beer) access a little better. Some of the ideas above are very good. Other than that, I am fine with the metal bleacher seat I have and all the creature comforts I may be missing out on being a Bills fan. Oh yeah, maybe a small auxillary Jumbotron somewhere on the tunnel end would be nice. I cant see 1/2 of the scoreboard from my seat -

It is kind of bad that I am basically imprisoned at my seat for all of halftime. Also, I would like to be able to make a trip to the bathroom and not miss 15 minutes + of the game -

That sucks to hear. Nobody goes to a game with any expectation of dying. I feel bad for the brother who didnt take care of him. A lifetime of questioning himself and replaying the night. I hope it doesnt create a wave of new restrictive rules though. -
The team is not out of Playoff Hunt
May Day 10 replied to djp14150's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
thatll be typical. The Bills get in the playoffs and everyone hates them because they knock off the NFL's feel-good story. Id take Bills @ Pats in the first round though. -
by we, I mean the crowd. If nothing else, we can put a raucous atmosphere on display for a 3-6 team who hasnt been in the playoffs for 12 years.
-
I know we are 3-6 and not feeling great about the season.... But its a primetime nationally televised game against who is (supposed to be) our most hated rival. A win can start a roll that can realistically end with a playoff berth. It has to start with a win vs. Miami. It keeps the season very alive for another week. A loss and the season is already over with no Sabres. Also remember the ass kicking the Dolphins laid on the Bills. Especially in Miami where they were physically wrecking the Bills even when the game was out of reach. The Bills/Buffalo seem to get good press when we have a primetime home game and the crowd puts the rest of the NFL to shame. Im miserable. I almost went outside during the 1st quarter of the Pats game. But this might be the last game that many of us attend until next season's home opener.... Im pumped for Thursday! I dont plan on having a voice on Friday. Its do or die.

UB Bulls fan fantasy vs the Bills
May Day 10 replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe that if the Bills leave, people will latch onto UB Football big time. -

Ill be rooting for them Thursday (and each subsequent game if they win) If they lose against Miami though, coaching staff should be fired immediately and maybe Nix. 3-7, 2-14 in last 16 Division games. ugh -
The Bills are a laughing stock
May Day 10 replied to first_and_ten's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
cant argue with him. It pretty much recites bold-faced stats that show that Patriots have dominated the Bills over the past 12 years. To his credit, he does note that the series wasnt always lopsided in the Pats' favor (a fact that chowder heads like to forget (or never saw)). -

im usually the first to scrap the list of overrated ND prospects, but I would agree with this guy. He possesses what this franchise is missing.... And the QB crop looks sketchy

I have been pretty numb for about 3 seasons. I dont get down. I was even laughing and having a good time leaving the Tennessee and New England games. The highs are still high though.
