  1. At work, just listened to it at least ten times in a row while looking at Bills pictures. Upon further review, I will go so far as to say that anyone who disses the Shout song is not a true Bills fan. Just the sound of the drums followed by the organ at the beginning when you're at a game and the Bills just scored and you're with your best friends and you have about five empty cups in your hand stacked on top of one another. But I digress.
  2. Anyone who says anything negative about the Shout song is either a) absolutely out of their minds or b) too young to know what it's like for the Bills to be sweet and have that song play when they're actually winning, in which case you would never say anything negative about the Shout song.
  3. Man there are some idiots on here. The Sabres problem is that they are maxed out. Not that they don't spend money. Why am I wasting my time on here. Have to get back to work. Can we start a "Thread for Smart People" please?
  4. Yeah, the guy's totally cool. He tried to kill himself a couple years ago, but besides that he's completely normal.
  5. Dude come on man, there is a better chance of me playing for the Bills next year. Please end this foolish discussion now. Whether you think it's a good idea or not is completely irrelevant because the chances of it happening are exactly 0%.
  6. Did you know that in 2008, 153 NFL players made $5 million and the Bills had 5 of them? That's right on par for the course. Did you know where the Bills total team salary ranked in 2008? 16th. Right in the middle of the pack. Now consider how decrepit Western New York's economy is relative to some of the teams that spent less than the Bills last year- DC, Philly, New England! The Bills are also operating out of the third smallest market in the league. Maybe the Bills have made some poor personnel decisions as of late, but this whole thing about Ralph being miserly has been blown WAY out of proportion. Some time after he's gone, presuming the Bills remain in Buffalo, people are gonna take a step back and realize how good Ralph was for Buffalo and feel like real jerks for the way they bashed him the last couple years. There's a reason he got voted into the Hall of Fame. sources: http://www.theredzone.org/2008/salaries/TeamRankings.asp http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/football/...s/2008/all.html
  7. Well played. AndRayzer32, who is that chick in your Avatar anyway?
  8. If this actually happens then they have to trade someone, probably Roscoe.
  9. John Elway, a role model? Are you absolutely kidding me? I live in Denver and the following things are common knowledge- he drinks a ton (won't throw out the a-word because I couldn't tell you that), used to get pulled over drinking and driving all the time and got free passes from the cops, chain smokes cigarettes, cheated on his wife before dating former playmate (and Buffalo native) Carrie Stevens, who was his date at his Hall of Fame induction, and above all else, ask any cab driver or restaurant owner in Denver- the man does not tip. Not like he tips only 10% or something, he literally does not tip at all. The guy's a dirtbag.
  10. When the Bills are getting run over by another team's running back, does it matter whether or not that running back had a gun charge in the offseason? When TO lights up another team's secondary, does that team say, "well we just got worked but TO tried to kill himself two years ago so at least we got that going for us." It's time for the Bills to play the same game as everyone else and put together the best product possible on the field. And by the way, Marshawn Lynch is one hell of a running back and anybody that doesn't see that doesn't know anything about football. Period.
  11. The Bills wore the sacred white helmets with the charging buffalo (anyone dissing the ribbon is crazy) from 1974-1983. Joe Ferguson was the Bills starter from 1973-1984. #1, I was right, it was basically the Joe Ferguson era. And #2, I'm not saying you're wrong, I'd never heard that before, but why would they change their uniforms for a guy who had already been around for 11 years and only had 1 more year left? I'm guessing he was color blind too?
  12. Agreed. White, helmets w/ charging Buffalo (basically the Joe Ferguson era) are sickes Bills unis ever.
  13. Hey Poz Fan- Brad Butler sucks? Was it merely a coincidence that the very game he returned (vs. Cleveland) the running game immediately picked back up and remained good for the rest of the season? Your boy Poz is mediocre at very best. At this stage in their careers, relative to their positions, Butler is a much better OG than Posluszny is a MLB.
  14. Good player, but more importantly he would bring Jesus over to our side. Look how much he helped the Lions.
  15. I mentioned this on here once before- when I was in KC tailgating for Bills-Chiefs this year, we were parked right next to Derek Fine's family and I was talking to his brother for awhile and he said that when Derek first got to Buffalo, Marshawn was the nicest and most welcoming player on the team and at that point in the season, he was still his favorite guy on the team. I don't know what that's worth? Probably not much.
  16. John Digiorgio is EXACTLY the type of guy that if the Bills didn't sign, would end up on the Ravens or the Falcons or something, end up starting because of an injury, put up some decent numbers and all you knuckleheads would start saying, "look how stupid the Bills are, they let another one get away..."
  17. Whatever, Digiorgio was better in 2007 than Posluszny was in 2008. He's definitely better than Keith Ellison (inside, outside, I don't give a s*%t) and at a reasonable price tag (I'm sure), he's a great depth guy.
  18. yeah, Pride of the Yankees, Bang the Drum Slowly, I know I need to see those ones in their entirety someday soon. I'm sorry though, I'm just not a huge Bull Durham fan and I am in fact, a huge baseball fan. It's not like any of the films on my list suck, those are all epic baseball movies.
  19. As far as Cerrano, history is filled with high strikeouts guys. You take the good with the bad. When Pedro hits it, it goes far. On a team with few power sources, you take that risk to have a masher in the middle of their lineup. I think most remarkable of all is that Cerrano would one day become a spokesman for All State and the President of the US. Cerrano became the president? Please tell me that doesn't occur in Back to the Minors starring Scott Baccula, which I can proudly say I've never seen. Good insight though, I never took Taylor's bunting into account. Also, Harris could not have possibly held that potent Yankees lineup to 2 runs in 8 2/3 throwing about a 40 mile an hour fastball.
  20. Top 5 baseball movies of all-time: 1. Bad News Bears 2. Major League 3. The Natural 4. Field of Dreams 5. The Sandlot honorable mention: A League of their Own really bored and nothing else on: Rookie of the Year
  21. No, but I was watching Major League last week and I feel that Taylor is not a prototypical no. 2 hitter. You would think with his knee problem and him being in the twilight of his career, he's more of a no. 6 or 7 hitter. Also, Cerrano could not have possibly made it to the majors without being able to hit an off-speed pitch. Then again, Lou Brown won the division over a loaded Yankees team, so it's really difficult to question any of his personnel decisions.
  22. Yeah I dare anyone who was a diehard Bills fan back then to watch this special from beginning to end and not get choked up. The love between Marv and his players is a lot to handle. Darryl Talley is a bizarro though.
  23. And by the way, I'm about to get crucified on here, but my vote would be for Brady as the greatest QB in NFL history. His 3 SB's are WAY more impressive than Montana's 4.
