  1. Yeah, I liked Jessica Jones too, but I loved Daredevil. That Punisher fight scene in jail was pretty epic. NSFW
  2. It's the state beer of Indiana. THE Indiana Pale Ale.
  3. I'd like to retract my previous statement re: Iron Fist. I thought it started out well, or maybe I just liked it because it was a new character that I was not familiar with but the last few episodes just seemed to dragggg on. The second half bad guy (no spoilers) just didn't do it for me. He wasn't believable as being a true threat to Danny, IMO. Also, guy's coming back from the dead several times...blah. I've never read any of the comics but the show just didn't do it for me. Seems like Marvel hit it out of the park with Daredevil but has been slowly declining ever since.
  4. Certainly there are different beers for different occasions. I'm most likely not going to drink a Corona in the dead of winter. Just like I'm probably not going to drink a oatmeal stout while playing slow pitch softball lol. That would not turn out well.
  5. Yeah for sure, he's the #2 character listed on Wikipedia.
  6. Same here. My wife LOVED the first season. We then got around to watching the second season and just couldn't take it. Terrible. Viola Davis' character was so terribly annoying.
  7. Not very good...with the length of this process I'll be lucky to be strapped by the zombie apocalypse.
  8. When my I took my concealed carry/pistol permit course, the guy constantly told us that you needed to retreat as far as you could into your house(but not required to leave your house) before it's acceptable to use deadly force. Even protecting pets or property could still get you jail time for using deadly force in some cases. So confronting these guys in your hallway, according to my concealed carry teacher could get you ending up with the charges. Anyone have any differing opinions or experiences than what I've been taught? Just curious.
  9. Are you referring to the old Tops plaza near Reszel Middle School? Was that an Ames before Tops? That had to be before I moved to NT because I don't remember that at all. Now it's a Dollar General.
  10. I always thought bangers was more of a British term? Still remember going to the Rose & Crown restaurant in Epcot at Disney World and ordering the bangers and mash. It was one of my favorite meals to that point in my life (probably 13 years old). I'm pretty sure bangers became a running joke for the rest of the trip too.
  11. Exactly the same for me. I also recall going there several times with my parents. Always seemed to be for an appliance, or vacuum or things of that nature.
  12. Finally, yes. Now becomes the difficult decisions for the next few weeks on deciding whether I want to watch The Wire or Better Call Saul on any given night.
  13. My wife and I we're hooked to that as well. Solid show. I feel like the early to mid seasons we're great. Didn't love the show as much in season 6 or 7. Maybe I just got bored with it, I'm not sure. Saul and then Gus later on are awesome supporting characters that really help fuel that show, IMO.
  14. I've been meaning to watch it for years and I finally started and finished the first season this past week. Awesome show. Can't wait to get into it more. Also, all 5 seasons are now on Amazon Instant Video, so that's good news for those without HBO accounts. If the greatness of season 1 continues, it might hop into my top 5.
  15. I try to stay pretty local when it comes to my beer. Some of my favorites... Light: Labatt's Blue Light Molson Canadian Light Corona or Blue Light Lime (summer) Craft: Great Lakes Conway Irish Ale Big Ditch Hayburner IPA Big Ditch Deep Cut DIPA Big Ditch Galaxy Red PA Hamburg OMS Hamburg Irish Red Southern Tier IPA Ithaca Flower Power IPA and last but not least... Guinness
  16. Buy them re-usable water bottles and drink tap water. That's all I got. When I was that age I had chores every single day for when I got home from school unless I was playing a sport. Consequences weren't all that severe but my parents were constantly on us about it and I respected that they worked long hours and didn't want to come home to a mess of a house so I was pretty compliant.
  17. I love when people will say, "Omg have you seen this show? You haven't?! You have to watch it!" "I don't have cable." "Oh." /conversation
  18. How could I forget Manos...what was I thinking?
  19. In no particular order. I'm also quite sure that I'll edit this list at some point, but just going off the top of my head. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King Rear Window Dazed and Confused The Dark Knight The Matrix Honorable Mention: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly; The Departed, Catch Me If You Can, Casino. How can you pick just 5?
  20. I'd say it's better than Luke Cage so far. Still not as good as Daredevil or Jessica Jones though. I do think the recurring characters is pretty cool. Rosario Dawson is in all of them, and Carrie-Anne Moss makes another appearance.
  21. Not quite sure why he removes that string but it is intentional. He plays quite a few songs with his 12 string...or in this case, his 11 string. He used to busk in Australia which is where he started that song, and it's gone through a transformation throughout the years. Still gives me the feels every time I hear it.
  22. As a big ska fan in high school, my first thought was Tom Kalnoky from Catch-22, Streetlight Manifesto, and Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution. Great singer/songwriter. John Butler from the John Butler Trio. Dude is a hell of a guitar player and singer/songwriter and it seems like not many people in the U.S. know who he is.
  23. Seriously. Do it as soon as possible. It took a few episodes for me to totally get into it, but then I got hooked. I binged it last year. Like you said, I didn't trust the hype while it was on air but after seeing it, it definitely lived up to it and surpassed it.
