Hell yeah! I was wearing a Sabres hat at the rioting in Oakland (Pittsburgh) and some guy from Buffalo saw it... we basically both said what you just said. Yeah, the younger crowd is really into the Penguins, which is good for hockey, but there is no way the people in Pittsburgh (as a whole) are more Pens fans than Steelers fans. I've been here five years, the first two of which I don't think I heard the words "Penguins" or "hockey" spoken. (Then they start winning.... very bandwagony.... ) Their football fans are quite similar to ours. They're pretty diehard. There are a lot of them. They hate the *pats. Football at the youth, high school, and college levels is pretty big here, while hockey is not at all (yet; hopefully the Pens can provide a spark in this area.) In contrast, WNY is pretty big on hockey at the youth hockey (at least in Rochester where I am from), and I think more of a percentage of fans are likely to say the Sabres are their favorite (instead of Bills) than the percentage Pittsburghers saying the Pens are their favorite (instead of Steelers). Haha this is so true! Even though everyone just bitches about them! It's a pretty slick logo/hat, I'll admit.

Probably doesn't want to go to Detroit! Now we can get him with the first pick in the 2010 draft..... just kidding. It's always good to see a player choosing school over pro. Although it would be real tough to say, "Oh I could be making $10M next year, but I've decided not to." Wish I had that dilemma!

A few weeks ago, ESPN went through each division and showed one highlight per team that was supposed to have defined their season. I think they showed the Losman fumble against NYJ. I think of Hardy's TD catch against JAX, Trent's concussion against AZ, Lindell missing for teh win against CLE, and Losman's fumble. Lindell's miss I think is the ONE play for me.

Brian Moorman is always the first that comes to mind. My brother always jokes, "Yeah, Moorman can do it all! He can run, he can throw, and he can kick." Hmm maybe Lynch though.

aww Moorman? Rosssccooooooooeeee? I was just thinking about your statement, and yeah, you're right, because that's all I could come up with. Also, I don't know why but it made me think of when we had Sam Gash (was that his name? The sweet FB who blocked well?) Anyway, that was sweet.

Are you implying that SD's passing % beat the Colts on Saturday? I would hardly say that is so. Rivers 20/36 (55.6%) for 217 yards. Unless you are implying that if their numbers in this category were higher during the regular season, they could have won the division and had the bye this past week....

That play was awesome. His contribution as a downfield receiver, with those routes over the middle, remind me of Thurman Thomas' days here.

This reminds me... I can't believe there wasn't more complaining here about how much of a kitty he looked like when we couldn't tackle Cassel in the open field before he got the first down last week. Think it was on like a 3rd and 6. I thought watching that play summarized how disappointing out D is at tacking and Opp. 3rd down Conversions. Anyone know if there are stats anywhere that show opponents' 3rd down conversion percentage?

Agreed, good post. If the Pats* were good enough to be a playoff team, they would have been able to beat those playoff teams. My original post was supposed to be sarcastic, given the uproar of dipsh!ts saying that the NFL MUST change their rules due to this one case.....
