The impression that I get is that Marrone wants to make the football decisions as the head coach and wants the players he wants playing and doesn't give a damn about the Front offices opinion. If he lives or dies by his personnel decisions he wants to make those calls and I respect that all front office opinions and pressure can kiss his Italian ass....and mine for that matter....nice work ST. My problem with that is he's just not a sufficient game manager because he simply won't fire the ball downfield enough. You can't fix the accuracy issues. They tried with Downing working round the clock with him on mechanics. It simply didn't work. He has all the physical attributes you want but he simply can't progress through his reads well enough. Look at the way his receivers look at him when he overthrows them by 5 yards. He's a likeable kid and everyone wanted him to be the guy....he just isn't ready to be. IMHO I also think this benching will be the last you see of him.
