Which Failed QB Would Have Been Most Successful
TDO'Kearney replied to grammer_police's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Compare that to the supporting cast Losman had in the second half of 2006. He had Jason Peters at LT; and overall was the recipient of much better pass protection than Johnson had while in Buffalo. He had Willis McGahee at RB who, while flawed, was a better player than Antowain Smith. At receiver he had Lee Evans, Josh Reed, Roscoe Parrish, and others. While that was not the equivalent of the receiving corps Johnson had, there was still some talent there (especially Evans). Admittedly he didn't have a Jay Riemersma at TE. But overall, he was nonetheless surrounded by an overall better supporting cast than the one Johnson had. While we're going on about RJ, in the one playoff game for the Bills those QBs had, RJ arguably played better than the much-heralded Steve McNair http://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxs...00001080oti.htm, and came off the field having lead the Bills to the go ahead FG late in the 4Q while playing without a shoe at one point. -
Yea, really. I mean, if she threw herself at me in a bar, boy, I'd just walk away..... ugly tramp...

A draw play for big yardage??!

Yea, and more of the same to see our defense get gashed up the middle by a huge running play.... -
After three rounds, here are some questions/thoughts
TDO'Kearney replied to jahnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anyone think the Bills will take LeFevour, Pike, or Skelton tomorrow to add another QB to the mix? We still need OL, WR, and OLB in addition to QB. Or does Chan think he can get Trent to play like Dilfer and be good enough. At least we can't complain about the DL support from this draft.... -
Last time Ralph W was seen..?
TDO'Kearney replied to Mike in Horseheads's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I believe his point is, Mr. Wilson's travel habits MAY reflect his ability to travel, and thus give us an indication of his current health. I know all of this would be speculation on our part, but it is a fair question. Is Mr Wilson hale and hearty and as healthy as a nonagenarian should be? I think we all realize there will be significant changes in the organization, including the possibility of relocation, if Mr Wilson is ailing and might die soon. -
I think not.

Hey, I watched some of the Bills Miami game in 1995 from the limo between the church and the reception (married on a Sunday), then caught the 350 yard rushing day in the playoffs against them 2 weeks later while on my honeymoon in 95 in San Juan. Par for the course on this board.

Well, Marshawn Is Starting Off The Year Right
TDO'Kearney replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The media is out to get Lynch. He reported, he was just out in the parking lot in his car, smoking weed and cleaning his gun. He said he'd be right in when I asked him what he was doing, then took my $20. -
Does "water bug" mean Roscoe?
TDO'Kearney replied to In-A-Gadda-Levitre's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not to mention that the Bills were deadlocked in the 3rd Q of a soul crushing 3-3 game at the time, and I felt like Roscoe changed his return style to try to be a little more aggressive and go for a ball he shouldn't have touched. As bad as that turnover was, if you were watching that game, you were begging for SOMEBODY to do SOMETHING, and Roscoe was only getting on the field on ST anyway. I kind of understood. -

a serious retrospect of being a BILLS FAN
TDO'Kearney replied to rocwocka's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You guys get bandwagon jumpers? I'm in Jersey and I don't get any fans jumping to the Bills, but my Bills gear basically serves to attract other ex-Buffalonians to talk to me about how they left Buffalo because there are no jobs but they'd move back if they could. -

Sign at a Bills game back then: Would you rather have a small Flutie or a BIG JOHNSON? -
how do you guys find this stuff?

I disagree. TE Carlester Crumpler Jr., Seattle or RB Carlester Crumpler Sr, Buffalo.

Rex Ryan middle finger incident
TDO'Kearney replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree, the response is not proportional to the offense. How much did Brian Cox get fined for giving fans the bird in Buffalo 15 or 20 years ago? Bud Adams gave Buffalo fans the finger just last year and was fined 25k, and that was the OWNER, during/after an NFL game. I'm listening to the fan in NYC and they're talking about the fine being as much as 250k. I don't get it. As for race, I'd like Marshawn MORE, not less if he did the same thing in Miami, but he didn't. Running over drunk Canadian chicks while you're drunk on the bottle YOU brought out with you and smokin' weed with a gun in a car with your buddies are a little more serious. How much did any of get fined? -
Gutless coaching staff? thank god we didn't get that leslie frazier guy then. I know, I know, he doesn't coach the offence. Couldn't resist the dig anyway.
-
Right. Then we go out in the first round and draft a spectacular college running back with a torn up knee in the first round and a 150 lb quick receiver in the second.

Bills lead NFL with best defensive passer rating...
TDO'Kearney replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I still think it's a little deceiving. Why, for instance, does it seem like we can have 2 good running stops on defense in a row, put the opposing team in 3 and 13, and the our league leading pass defense gives up the first down to some tight end we can't cover. After that, teams then seem to be able to reel off runs of 8, 4, 22, 13, and 7 into the endzone. Maybe not, but I don't have this stat, I would bet it would show that we're worse than NFL average in not allowing offenses to complete 3rd and 10 or greater. -
Did Dan Marino really say that?!?
TDO'Kearney replied to Golden Wheels's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I live in Giants country and yes, people STILL talk about Joe Pisarciks kneeldown fumble against the eagles in 1977, returned for a TD by none other than Herm Edwards. -

Maybe u weren't watching the game, but when the Bills were running Jackson up the middle on successive plays, Miami was using their timeouts in a 24-14 game. If Miami didn't think they were done yet, why would the Bills? -

Looks like Lynch hurt himself falling on his gun anyway.
