  1. One man's life savings is another man's breakfast. Of course they're worth something. Although, it would probably have to be some sort of interesting trade.
  2. How would you go about liquidating your collection of Flutie Flakes if they did go 12-4?
  3. http://www.buffalobills.com/news/article-1...8a-af0603ec0a27 Here's the BB.com article. Doesnt look like either signing is very exciting.
  4. Practice squad player? Not sure, we also signed a couple guys: The Bills signed free agent DE Jermaine McGhee and free agent DB Kyle Ward. Vince Hall was released.
  5. I like it! However, Buffalo is too small of a market. The Steelers get a pass being a small market team because of their history. Buffalo's history, although beloved by us, is filled with a bunch of losing teams. Sorry, but if your "theory" is true, I think the Bills missed the boat.
  6. "...and some sort of fermented chicken drink."
  7. Nobody's signed him. Broncos showed some interest, but that was before they signed Chris Simms, and before the draft. I think that the Panthers were the other team that showed some interest, but nothing ever happened with that. Somebody will eventually pick him up as a backup before camp starts, but that will be it.
  8. Lets hope that this isn't what we end up seeing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dtz0l-PHsyQ...feature=related
  9. Bills vs Steelers Jan 2nd, 2005 Despite the outcome of the game/season, this game was a classic. I went with 6 of my good friends, one of which was a Steeler fan. Another Steelers fan was in the row in front of us, and he was blackout drunk. Slurring his words, spilling beer, etc. For some reason in the 2nd quarter, he turns around and thinks that my friend Jeremy is mocking him cheering for the Steelers (even though they are both Steelers fans and both had the EXACT same jersey on ). So the guy gets himself all riled up (with a little help from us ) and decides that he's going to stand up, turn around, and punch Jeremy. He stood up, but it was more like a stage dive straight backwards, and he sprung himself about 4 rows down, hitting everyone on the way. It was like an explosion of beers, hats, and drunken arms & legs. The best part about it was that he just laid there, trying to get up, until three security guards had to come and pick him up by his arms & legs and carry him out.
  10. I braid up my beard, get liquored up, and yell at opposing team fans before every game.
  11. Don't be mad because you need to find a new player to j/o now that Peters is gone. I hear that Scott is a real stallion in the showers. Maybe he can be your new boy toy.
  12. I kept reading through the site and saw this thread, too: http://www.stadiumwall.com/index.php?showt...=88901&st=0 Looks like the ideal candidate for us.
  13. I think that it's doubtful that either of those guys step in and play over Ellison. Neither is much bigger (Bowen is smaller/same size), and Ellison knows the defense much better than those two. I think that the coaching staff was high on Bowen as a special teamer, seeing as he was hurt in training camp and never saw the field outside of that. I think that an upgrade is needed, but I don't think that it's either of those guys. I'm interested to see how Harris adapts to the NFL, but I can't see him stepping in and gaining the coaches confidence being a rookie. However, I think that those two can be dangerous special teams players this year. The problem with the situation as I see it is that the fans are looking for a game changer at that position, but the only people fast enough to play it in our defensive scheme are too small to lay down the big hits. I think that the scheme is flawed, but putting a bruising 260lb LB at that position would be a worse mistake, IMO. He would get picked apart in pass coverage.
  14. Technically yes, but even then, it's debatable.
  15. Yeah, those helmets are the Riddell Revolutions. They're the newest ones that they have out right now (a good friend of mine sells Riddell). http://www.riddell1.com/newsite/product_in...products_id=368 They've actually been around since 2002, but the transition to the NFL didn't happen until a couple years ago. Now just about everyone is wearing them or at least planning to wear them, right down to the Pee-Wee leagues. You're 40% less likely to suffer from concussions compared to the older ones, plus they come with inflatable neck/head supports, extensions, and basically mold right to your head. I tried one on and the cushions on the inside are made of gel and air, almost like a bicycle seat. It's a huge difference when you try on the old one and the new one. With the new ones, you can swing your head back and forth as fast as you can, and the helmet won't shift an inch.
  16. Found this one: http://www.kingjames.co.za/images/uploaded...ight-Mullet.jpg
  17. I read that article too, and thought the same thing. Not to mention, how many times will games be delayed even more by lengthy reviews and respotting of the ball? It was nice to see April proactively going through different scenarios with Mike Perreira of what will be allowable and what won't be. Hopefully he'll keep coming up with innovative ways to push the envelope.
  18. Because they throw in the second one for free if you call now!
  19. Seems like a pretty standard story. Not sure what you're getting all excited about just yet.
  20. I share your optimism, Dan. I like almost all of the offseason moves so far (would have liked to find a way to keep Peters, but it was a tough situation for both sides after 2 years of fighting). I think that our receiving corp, including the RB's, is top notch this year with the addition of Owens & Nelson. I'm excited to see what Maybin can bring to the table and what Schobel has left in his tank, too. I think that we've added more talent, and dropped some dead weight in guys like Fowler, Dockery, & Royal. I also can't wait to see what sort of progression guys like McKelvin, Poz, & Whitner make this year. I worry most about the coaching (can we get the most out of this group of players), second about the Trent coming through, and third about our O Line congealing early on in the year. I would still like to see us get an experienced LB before camp, too.
