  1. Damn, 10 million unemployed and not one Bills fan with a computer??
  2. Are you sure that you aren't the idiot with that extremely arrogant post? How about this, after attending Boston College for 6 yrs (BS & MSF), I've found that people from Boston are extremely arrogant, blow hards, and easily the most annoying people that I've lived around.
  3. Lets have someone take some notes for us working drones, please
  4. Philly is nice for the most part, I've lived here for about 5 years now, but there are bad parts that are real sketchy, too. Since TO left here, the media jumps all over him for everything. And I mean EVERYTHING! Every chance they get to take a shot at him they do it, so expect to see more and more of these articles. I'm sure that Dallas & San Fran have similar tastes in their mouths, too, but it doesn't seem as bad as what Philly gives him. I guess that it's kind of warranted because he left them to go play for their most hated rival, but most of the articles (like this one) reach so much, that it comes off as whining.
  5. I think that the previous high was January 4th, 2004, if I remember correctly. But for the life of me, I can't figure out why on that day was it the highest? There were no playoffs for us, we had just won 6 straight games and then lost to the Steelers 2 days prior, and there wasn't a coaching change that year. Anyone know?
  6. That's called putting lipstick on a pig.
  7. At least he wasn't 21st (AKA last)??? I'm running out of optimism today. Quint, out.
  8. Just got a VText that said "Coles touring Bills practice facility at OBD" I say, out of those guys: 1. Evans 2. Coles 3. Reed 4. Johnson 5. Parrish 6. Hardy Jenkins primary role is for ST, so I can't see why we would keep him over any viable receiving threat. That said, Hardy better earn his keep this year or else next year, he could be off the bottom of the list. It's going to be tough for someone that tall to effectively come back from the ACL tear, so hopefully he's been rehabbing like a mofo. 5 wide might actually be exciting this year, especially if we get a good receiving TE.
  9. Apparently, the Raiders are also interested in him. It's possible that they offered him the $8.5MM and he turned them down. Smart man!
  10. There was a similar column awhile back: "...as I walked into Mr Burn's, er, Coach Juaron's office, I saw that he had his head down on his desk and seemed to be fast asleep. Not just dozed off, but that deep REM sleep where he was talking to himself. I thought that I heard him say something about a unicorn, but I couldn't be sure. So now, as I stood there, I had quite the dilemma facing me. Should I wake him or just let him sleep. I took the opportunity to check out his office. He had grocery lists everywhere, dry cleaning receipts, pretty much everything other than football related materials. I thought it best to just sit down and read until he awoke, but all I could find was a few old Redbook magazines and again, didn't know what to do. No sooner did I have time to decide than in walked what appeared to be a mummy. No really, I thought that I had found myself in Jauron's dream, but this was real! As the mummy got closer, I realized that it was actually the living legend Ralph Wilson Jr. who had cut himself shaving earlier in the day and had toilet paper all over his face. I reached out and shook his hand. He held it for a minute, which I thought was strange, but then I realized that he had stolen my cufflink! Once again, I was faced with a decision, but decided to let it go. Next thing I know, Russ Brandon (who I'm still not sure what his job was because I never met him) went running down the hallway, naked, covered in suds and soaking wet saying, 'Hey, did somebody need me?!' and laughing hysterically. It was obvious that he was in the shower and did this all the time, because the rest of the people didn't even blink and eye. In fact, I heard someone say, 'Look who trimmed his chest hair this weekend!' After that, I left, not knowing what just happened, but somehow, in the midst of it all, I signed a $50MM contract! Great organization!" -from the tales of Derrick Dockery
  11. Like I said, at least he won the last 3 games he started. Remember that he's just a backup QB. He'll at least be able to step in and not fumble the game away (hopefully). Did anyone really think that someone like Garcia was going to come to Buffalo to be a #2QB? You're fooling yourselves if you did.
  12. Not a bad backup to Trent. At least he finished off the season for the Bengals with 3 wins.
  13. I think you're wrong about Scott, but I agree about Greer. I haven't heard anything about him today. Per Rotoworld: Jets sign ILB Scott for 5 years, $40 million Jets signed ILB Bart Scott to a five-year, $40 million contract. Clearly, Scott was looking to max out. The "Mad Backer" turned down a deal from Baltimore worth $7.5 million annually to get $8 million a year from New York. Scott, 29 in August, will start inside next to David Harris. Rex Ryan is more familiar with Scott and figures to use him in the old Ray Lewis role while Harris takes on more blocks. Scott is a disruptive blitzer when given the freedom to do so. He's also durable and will be an IDP to target. Feb. 27 - 12:03 pm et
  14. Exactly. It sucks that the Jets got him. It makes our road that much tougher twice a year.
  15. Thats a pretty big gamble. He didn't finish the season because he tore his ACL.
  16. No, it makes sense what you say. I'm pretty sure that they think that Derek Fine is going to pan out to be that pass catching TE who can also block, but we may see one picked up early in the draft, too. The problem with just getting one who can catch, but not block, is that it takes the element of surprise out of having him take off down the seam. If we just swap our blocking TE with our receiving TE during the game, the defense will simply target the receiving TE as another receiver and cover him.
  17. KEVIN JONES GETTING SOME LOOKS Posted by Aaron Wilson on February 27, 2009, 6:32 a.m. Former Detroit Lions first-round running back Kevin Jones has been targeted as a free agent worthy of consideration by several teams, according to a league source. Jones is on the radar of the Buffalo Bills, New York Jets, St. Louis Rams and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Drafted in the first round out of Virginia Tech, Jones spent last season with the Chicago Bears. He rushed for 109 yards on 34 carries last season, playing in 11 games with no starts. Jones has 3,176 career rushing yards and 24 touchdowns with 143 career receptions for 1,011 yards and three touchdown catches. Jones, 26, has a respectable 4.0 average per carry in 49 career starts. http://www.profootballtalk.com/category/rumor-mill/
  18. Guess not: Redskins agreed to terms with CB DeAngelo Hall on a six-year contract with a $55 million max value. The deal includes $23 million guaranteed. Our first post-free agency period signing is a doozy. Hall has had an up and down career, but his on-field ability cannot be questioned. The 25-year-old has the ball skills, speed, and man-to-man cover ability to be top-ten cornerback. For the second straight offseason he's getting paid like it. Only time will tell if Hall busts as badly in D.C. as he did in Oakland. The Skins will now either cut Shawn Springs or put Carlos Rogers on the trade market. Feb. 27 - 12:27 am et Redskins also take aim at Haynesworth, Dockery Posted: February 27th, 2009 | Steve Wyche | The Washington Redskins .........and negotiating to bring back G Derrick Dockery, who was released by the Buffalo Bills on Thursday.
  19. Funny: Maybe, as he recently said, he’ll be motivated to prove the naysayers wrong. And maybe he won’t lose his cool and step on a guy’s unhelmeted head. And maybe he won’t leave practice and come back with a pipe. (Not a pipe for smoking crack, but a pipe for cracking skulls.) And maybe he’ll learn how to obey all posted speed limits and not cause accidents that require 25-year-old kids to get hip replacements. And maybe he’ll learn how to fly, without a plane. And maybe the Redskins finally will learn that this isn’t the way to build a championship football team.
