  1. Travis Henry is neck and neck with this lady!
  2. Yeah, she used to live in Pawleys when she lived down there after college. Awesome place with all kinds of unique stores and shops. Her sister now lives in Murrells Inlet and loves it.
  3. Here in Philly, its the same thing. Pretty much every bar has PBR pounders or they have it on tap. There's a bar here called Bob & Barbara's that has the biggest collection of PBR stuff in the world (so they say). Literally, wall to wall PBR trinkets, signs, glasses, etc. Their all day, every day special is a PBR pounder and a shot of Jim Beam for $3.
  4. My fiance is from there, and a nice alternative to Myrtle & North Myrtle is Murrells Inlet & Pawleys Island. Since you're working in North Myrtle, the trip would be longer, but housing is less and there really aren't alot of bad places in either. Not sure if you have kids, but the public schools in North Myrtle & Murrells Inlet are the place to put them. I'm sure there are some nice private schools in the area too, but her niece goes to Murrells Inlet and it's very nice. Surf Side Beach is another small town that is nice, and closer to Myrtle. The beaches in both places are great. Not alot of people, and beautiful sand dunes with wide beaches. Really, there aren't alot of bad places other than downtown Myrtle, which is all tourists and not so nice neighborhoods. Charleston's only 1 1/2 hrs away and is an awesome historic city. Totally different than any of the Eastern cities up here. There are tons of bike trails along the beach (I rode one in Murrells Inlet over Christmas). As far as sports, I'm not sure. Her dad is a Cleveland Browns fan and he has the NFL ticket. He actually lives near Georgetown, which is south of Myrtle. That is another nice day trip to make. There are tons of places to explore and fish down there, too. Piers, charters, etc. Have fun! I would suggest taking up some sort of beach activity that youve never done before and take advantage of the new scenery. -Quint
  5. Well, I think it was after I shifted, but I'm not real familiar with how it works. It didn't really affect my ride, but just something I noticed. Also, thanks for the PM, I'll check it out.
  6. I want to buy a used bike, and I'm looking at a Trek on craigslist. http://philadelphia.craigslist.org/bik/1024376316.html This would be my first bike, as I'm looking to do something other than running and working out in the gym like I do now. I'll probably be using it mainly on city streets or some of the paved trails here in Philly, and I'm not looking for anything real expensive or fancy. I'm just looking to make sure this early 90's model is worth the price. The guy who is selling it was real knowledgeable and had a ton of bikes in his garage. I guess this could be a good thing or a bad thing. I'm pretty clueless when it comes to bikes, but does anyone on here know if this would be worth it? I went and checked it out and rode it, and it rides nice, but the gears slip a bit after I shift. Any help is much appreciated. -Quint
  7. And another one, this time the Jets game in '88: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tX8DTfuCxKs...feature=related And this one, where we scored 3 TD's in 77 seconds to beat the Broncos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1-1-yTNAgak...feature=related
  8. Doubtful. Of course there would have been some idiots calling for him to be fired, but not nearly as there were. I can't think of a time when a coach was extended half way through a season, then fired at the end of that season. Fans would have criticized Ralph for sure, but at least there wouldn't have been the "was he or wasn't he" debate going on, which infuriated people even more once the official announcement came out.
  9. What he could have done was either wait until the end of the season to extend him or fire him (like you said), or he could have publicly announced it when he extended him. The whole uproar could have been avoided because it's tough for someone to reasonably call for someone's head when they know definitively that he was just extended. If you remember, the extension was never actually announced. It was rumoured from week 6 through the end of the season, then it was 'announced'.
  10. I think that Laurinaitis is going to end up being this years Dan Connor. If you remember last year at this time, Connor was going to be a first round pick, too. I doubt he'll fall to the third round like Connor, but I could see him being available when we pick in the 2nd round. And honestly, I hope the Bills don't take him.
  11. I agree with you that this whole "Fire Jauron" mess could have been avoided if Ralph would have just done what every other team in the league does and announce it when it happens. Regardless of how the season ended, nobody could reasonably think that he was going to be fired (and consequentially let down when it didn't happen) if Ralph had come out and announced the extension when it happened.
  12. Slaughter sounds cool and edgy. I like it! And this can be playing on the big screen before the game:
  13. I'd like to see LJ Smith or Bo Scaife here via free agency. Then we can address our other needs in the draft. Peppers won't happen on the DL, but he'd obviously be my number 1.
  14. I figured as much considering the source, but you just never know the extent to which some people will go to prove their side of something.
  15. Electing to come out of retirement after 16(?) NFL seasons shows that he did want to play. VY, a 3rd year player, said that he wanted to quit football. I guess they do share one similarity, but its hard to compare those two in any respect.
  16. Favre wanted to quit prior to his 3rd season because the crowd booed him?
  17. Its true that we don't know for sure what he was thinking, but mentioning it several times to your therapist, as you drive away from your house with a gun is a pretty telling sign that it did at least cross his mind. But you're right that this wouldn't have any bearing on if he's a winner in the NFL or not. I just threw it in there. Wanting to quit football is another story. Who wants someone on their team who doesn't want to be there? Especially at the NFL level. Like I said before, if he can overcome turnovers, his personal problems, and his inaccuracy, then he might make it as a QB in the NFL. But he hasn't proven anything so far other than that they drafted him too high.
  18. The guy wanted to kill himself and quit football 6 months ago. You call that a winner? I disagree with the poster that he's a draft bust, but he certainly isn't a solid QB and he hasn't played up to the level of the 3rd overall pick. That doesn't necessarily make him an all out bust, but he's not off to a very strong start in his career. If he can overcome all the turnovers, his personal problems, and his inaccuracy, then he may be able to make it, but the people who think that he has some sort of all world talent or is a proven winner are mistaken.
  19. Just to add to that, he also has 10 rushing TD's, but has 11 fumbles to go along with them.
