  1. No kidding. The worst was when they went to a TV timeout with TWO SECONDS LEFT in the third quarter after a Miami punt. Actually I guess I shouldn't be upset about that since it gave the Bills time to draw up that sweet 69-yard bomb to Evans.
  2. As for Willis, I sure noticed he made sure to have two hands on the ball every time he got brought down after that!
  3. Are you kidding? Loser Dan would have been walking in the opposite direction, angrily yanking his chinstrap off and bitching at his teammates or the ref. I remember one time he got picked off and the guy ran RIGHT PAST him while Danny Boy was sulking with his head down. Marino could have stuck out an arm and clotheslined the guy, he was so close. At least Feeley gave the appearance of chasing Pat!
  4. And I was glad of it when I saw him laughing after he dropped the ball. I don't care when or where it happens. Dropping a ball you should catch is no laughing matter.
  5. I don't even want to THINK about Cincy right now. Or SF. Or Pittsburgh. Let's focus on beating the Browns.
  6. We had an offense in the recent past?
  7. It was Prioleau. And it could have been SEVEN picks if McGee's foot had come down in the end zone just a slight shade earlier. Add to that Clements' idiotic pick-up-and-run try of the fumble and we could have been looking at TEN turnovers!
  8. There's some rule that if a team from a non-BCS conference finishes in the top six in the BCS rankings, then they must be awarded a BCS berth. That's why Utah gets to go and Cal doesn't. It's not as big an injustice as Pitt going to a BCS bowl while Louisville and Boise State don't go.
  9. I was just going to bring that up. That was horrible and if Pittsburgh hadn't come back, we could very possibly have been looking at that play as one that ultimately kept us out of the playoffs. All I could think of was "they just gave it to 'em."
  10. I think he might mean Haggan, but Crowell is playing well too.
  11. Did we have five interceptions last YEAR?
  12. That's what we used to do back in the day. Create turnovers and score in all facets of the game. That's what good teams do, ICE.
  13. Recommending the Rancho Zabaco zinfandel again. Really, you won't be sorry.
  14. Rancho Zabaco red zinfandel. About 13 bucks a bottle and tastes like $30. Very, very good value for the buck.
  15. Ten years ago the Ralph would have been the choice of 80 out of 100 people surveyed.
  16. And for proof all you have to do is look at the play in the Rams game where he jumped over the oncoming safety in full stride, somehow kept his feet inbounds and continued down the sideline for a touchdown. The play got called back for holding, but Willis showed a killer instinct on that play. Franco Harris never made a play like that in his life. Franco would have stepped right out of bounds when that safety came.
  17. Or membership cards! Not that I would know anything about that.
  18. Vive la France!
  19. No, I meant from his wife.
  20. Maybe he got it from her in the first place.
  21. Why is it that Jason Giambi, Sammy Sosa and Jeff Bagwell are all smaller (and less effective, and more injury-prone) than they used to be, while Bonds has neither shrunk, gotten hurt, nor lost effectiveness? Is Bonds THAT sanguine about not getting caught?
  22. The difference is I'm not blindly defending people on my favorite team in the face of actual evidence (like, um, videotape). I'm not a Giants fan.
  23. Not as long as there's still soccer.
  24. Even if he started using steroids in 2000 or whenever (and again, there is as yet no proof of that), he was a mortal lock for the Hall of Fame already based on his career to that point. There's not a single other player -- McGwire included -- about whom you can say that.
  25. The only way he was getting into the HOF anyway was if he bought a ticket.
