  1. I often marvel at how players don't get hurt during impromptu celebrations like that. My first reaction was don't hurt him! At least he could see him coming in the TV...
  2. The Mayfield story ends sadly today. I like the Browns. Buffalo will need to be the team that knocks off the king.
  3. A baker's dozen thoughts on the game: 1. Of course T Johnson's INT will be the play of the game, but it was Jerry Hughes' play right before that, that was most important. He managed to get to Jackson and rush a throw to a wide and I mean wide open M Brown that would have gone for a game tying TD. 2. How, and I do mean how did our DLine pull that off? We haven't seen that all season. It sure did look like it was going to be a long day when Baltimore ripped off big run after big run on that opening drive. And then Buffalo just shut that thing down. 3. I think Greg Roman realized one drive too late that Huntley did not know the playbook. You could see how long it was taking to call plays. Going to 'ah just go out there and throw it' worked much better with the kid. 4. Gabe Davis, you have to catch that TD. 5. Allen missing on the deep throws all game. It became clear why when NBC put the ball tracker on one. You could see what happened when he missed a wide open Diggs. The ball just went right at the end of the throw. The wind just took it away. 6. Wind was the biggest weather factor in that game. Bad punts, bad throws, bad place kicks. 7. I was joking with my friend who is a Browns fan to start the game. I asked if Baltimore would gift us a TD on a fumble. Little did I know that the Baltimore center would get the case of the yips. How does that happen? I mean really, how does that happen four different times in the game? 8. The Bills lone offensive TD was a blown Baltimore coverage. 3 WRs on 2 DBs. 2020 Josh Allen sees that and immediately zips a throw there for a TD. 9. The Ravens DB took away Beasley. In the end it was probably okay. He comes out of the game healthy. 10. The Bills OLine passed blocked their azzes off. Judon did beat Dion for a blind side sack-fumble though. 11. Interesting how Baltimore backed out of their blitzing persona and elected to play coverage. 12. I hope Jackson is okay. He's not my favorite QB, but he plays to win. He has changed the game. 13. Can't leave without poking Tucker. Bahahahaha. Welcome to Buffalo. Love the look of disbelief in his eyes when he misses. He is so clutch. That's when you really knew it was windy in Buffalo. I've seen the goal posts sway a lot more than that, but they were definitely moving. Win 10 games or more and get a playoff birth -- check Win the AFC East -- check Win a playoff game -- check Win a divisional round game -- check-o-mongo Win a conference championship game -- to be checked....
  4. I can absolute predict it. He will say he was rooting for Buffalo because Baltimore was a far more dangerous team. He will be delighted as he is condimentized.
  5. OMG... Boy did that feel good. Especially living in Maryland. Folks here are in a state of shock.
  6. If you are watching the NFL Network pregame shows, the on field reporter at Bills Stadium has her hair blowing around. The flags are definitely moving. Its windy there already.
  7. If Devin Singletary wants to keep Buffalo from drafting a RB in April, he needs to have a great game tonight.
  8. I always tell people you are born a Bills fan. Few voluntarily select this team to root for.
  9. I know why I don't like them. It goes back to their creation. Art Modell sat on the expansion committee. He made sure that new franchises were sent to Carolina and Jacksonville even though Baltimore had a far superior package. He then uprooted the Browns who were very successful in Cleveland. He met the governor of Maryland on his private plane at BWI airport. He left with the deal to move Cleveland to Baltimore.
  10. I thought about this too. But the same could be said about Cleveland, Buffalo and Baltimore.. Good coaches will keep their players focused. I think each of these teams have good coaches and good QBs.
  11. Damn.. Belichick must have called him. He hates the Ravens more... How about a hat trick of sack, INT and FR for a birthday present?
  12. He's old.. Too much mileage.. No surprise. Dobbs obsoleted him.. Edwards is JAG..
  13. Defiantly .... sign me up. and Definitely won't be sleeping afterwards regardless of the outcome.
  14. Older than most on here. Grew up in Hamburg. Job moved me to New Jersey and then to Maryland after college. Was a season ticket holder during the great run of the late 80s and the early 90s. Drove in for every game over a five year period. Did not miss a game in five years. First from Jersey, then from Maryland. Everyone who knew me in Jersey and knows me in Maryland knows I am a "Buffalo" native and a Sabres and Bills fan, through and through. But I am a Buffalo, the city, fan first and foremost. I went to high school in South Buffalo which meant I was riding a metro bus back and forth each day. I meet lots of Bills fans in my travels and one of the themes that is most common amongst us expats is a reverence we hold for WNY. It's hard to describe, but having grown up there it literally is in our blood, part of our DNA. I keep a second home a few miles from the Rich Stadium (it will always be Rich stadium to me, the place I saw my first football game, the Rolling Stones, and the great runs of the K-Gun offense) and get back to the area frequently as both my wife and I have significant family still there. When the Bills are doing good, I like to talk about them. When the Bills are doing bad, I literally abstain from all internet. While I get it works for some, I have no interest in dwelling on the bad or tearing down the team or player. I work very hard to keep my written thoughts positive. I am absolutely envious of Boston, Pittsburgh, Dallas and places like that. Those fans do not know how lucky they have it. If one of their sport franchises is losing, it's likely they have another that will bring home a championship. What makes us Buffalo fans one of the greatest fan bases is we have not known glory. Our mooted celebrations are for wide right and no goal. We don't have a history of excellence. We do have a history of heartache. And yet hope springs eternal and we root on our team and our city. I am not prepared for this season to be over at midnight tonight. I genuinely believe this team has something very special going on. The Ravens will get their pound of flesh tonight, but they are leaving to clean out their lockers tomorrow. Josh and Cole and Stefon and Dion and Matt, and Jordan and Micah and Tre and Mario and and and will find a way. Go Bills!!!
  15. Don't be too hard on him. He just realized Maryland crabs are from Maryland. It's been quite a week.
  16. The amazing thing about Baltimore is it really doesn’t matter who their DC is. They have lost a bunch of them over the years and the new/next guy comes in and they don’t miss a beat. Amazingly consistent defense is played there. I suppose it helps when Ray Lewis was your ML for so many years. Wink is just a guy. If they replaced him tomorrow with “chad”, they’d be the same.
  17. Two things I think are going to surprise folks when the game is over: 1. Buffalo played better run defense than expected, and 2. Baltimore was much better at throwing the ball than people expected. Playoff pregame narratives don't always hold up. Exhibits: 1. Steelers barf all over the first period and lay the biggest playoff 1st quarter egg the world has ever seen, 2. Bears defense played the heavily favored Saints tough all game long 3. Washington was in the game at the end with a rookie 3rd string QB. 4. Buffalo was going to roll the Colts and Taylor was going to run wild on the Bills 5. Seattle had found their defense and their offense was going to do enough to stymie the Rams and their 9-digit QB. 6. Henry was going to roll up a 100 yard on the Ravens
