  1. I don't think we will build exactly like them, but Josh has looked good using some motion. There is a difference between using motion as part of a complexity addiction (as I see the Dolphins), and using it to diagnose coverage and create a mismatch.
  2. I know I was joking a bit ago, but I am really annoyed by the Dolphins this year...or rather, I am annoyed at the amount of praise laid at their feet. I think that while they are good, a lot of McDaniel's genius can be attributed to having an All Pro WR in Hill and a #2 in waddle that could be a starter on a lot of other teams.
  3. Uh oh. I am agreeing with SAS. This does not portend well
  4. I know I am not up to date on the latest in sports medicine, but last I had heard Achilles was harder to come back from than ACL.
  5. At this point, the only thing I would take Aaron Rodger's advice on is recreational substances.
  6. It's a good placeholder for the full exhibit
  7. But what about those of us who are pessimistic AND delusional! ...because I think that's most of the GDTs
  8. I had the sound off during the Chargers game. That was good for my mental health
  9. Yes, no doubt. The problem is that Achilles are long painful rehabs and often you never reach top speed again. Tre's talents were never as a speedster but in instinct and technique. I think you could get something out of him, but I doubt we see #1 CB level from him next year. Maybe in 2025, but that's a lot of patience and money to have him ride the pine.
  10. I mean, even taking out that Allen has put up huge numbers vs Ramsey in the past while he did this... If you know Ramsey is going to shadow most plays, putting Diggs into motion should give massive holes for Kincaid and Cook to exploit if secondary help has been moved.
  11. yeah, that's what I was going to say. I've never been a Twitter addict, but it's massive for sports updates. Ever since Musk bought the platform I've been banned with no explanation and no reply to my questions meaning I can't post or comment (while they have no problem with literal Nazis and Alex Jones). And then the algorithm has just been abysmal. It's become the place where the worst people in the world get the loudest voices, the aforementioned scumbags and Dolphins fans. (There might be soooome false equivalence there :P)
  12. I mean, I don't know if it's possible to have too many #1 WRs in the pipeline considering what they get in free agency but yeah. We have a #1 WR in Diggs. In spite of conjecture from talking heads, the money makes it nearly impossible to move on from him in 2024. He's still putting up a 1000 yard season on a down year. The best years he had with us were when he had Smoke Brown or Emmanuel Sanders as the #2 option, an in prime Cole Beasley in the slot and Gabe Davis as a #4. I think we can be productive with Shakir as #3 and Kincaid as a wild card, but just to have someone reliable on the outside so that teams don't just keep shifting to take away Diggs.
  13. Fair enough. To be honest, I like Douglas and Benford where they are and I am loath to move them. In my ideal world, the Bills spend a late 1st or 2nd on a safety. I'm of the opinion that it's an underrated position, and that no one seems to prioritize one until you get difference maker and realize how much it helps your CBs. However, the Bills WR2 is such a travesty I fully expect that to be top billing. You can get decent safeties on a budget in free agency. The same can't be said for a solid WR2
  14. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I would like to hear your reasons why. If anything, it might save me from my fallacy of thinking of other ways to use him. I said it before: addition by subtraction. At this point it's a waste of a roster spot never mind the money.
  15. Exactly this. I don't love our cap conditions, but I do think that we can bring back DaQuan, Floyd, Phillips, Lawson/Epenesa, maybe a few bridge vets you think you can get a bit more out of and still have a comfortable buffer for our draft picks and in season needs.
  16. Cutting Hines is one of those "race to the office" moves I forsee to make cap space. Nice guy, had some splash plays, but that's a lot of money for a 3rd string running back/special teamer. Other examples: Extending Taron Johnson and Rasul Douglas. I think there's ~$9 million in savings while solidifying our CBs for the next few years. Restructure or cut Mitch Morse Convert Allen's salary and roster bonus to signing bonus Extend Dawkins (man has been very good at LT, entering final year of contract, we are seeing LTs playing into mid 30s) Cut Harty (addition by subtraction and $4 M in cap space) Safety? Look, it's not an ideal situation and I know people will flame me here but with an injury settlement the Bills will be getting very little while losing a former All-Pro. We have a big hole at safety and Tre's strengths have never been speed but instinct and technique, which would serve him well as a FS. He's actually really close to Hyde and Poyer's measurables. Again NOT A PERFECT FIT, but with an injury settlement we are getting very little cap space back while losing a player who has shown a lot of talent.
  17. That's a fair critique. I hadn't looked at the 22, and was doing off of the end result which was just the big bomb. I guess I just have to admit...Josh just had a bad game. I just hope that this was this year's version of the Atlanta Falcons game where Josh was just bad...and then turned it on for one of the best runs we've ever seen him on.
  18. If the Dolphins lose on Sunday night, they are locked into the 6th seed. That means that their path of advancement would be: At KC (lost by a touchdown, the Chiefs could have done more but ran out time IIRC) at Baltimore (Baltimore coming off bye, Miami got destroyed by them last week) And their coach is Mr. "My QB got hit so hard he couldn't stand but I ran him out in spite of "back stiffness" and then he got concussed so bad he needed to get carted off the field on a stretcher" So yeah, I expect McDaniel to throw every player at the Bills they can regardless of long term consequences.
  19. Hey! Watch out! I am self appointed No Jinxes!!!! enforcer ... But yes, 18 players on the injury list is insane. Chubb has an ACL, he should be on IR, why are you even...
  20. Thanks Captain Obvious (Rosenthal, not you)
  21. That has been my single biggest gripe with Joe Brady. For all of the faults that (rightfully) had Dorsey exit, he had finally started to use Kincaid as part of the gameplan and Brady...really hasn't. Even when it would seem that the moment is perfect for it, like vs the Pats. The Dolphins are beat up on their inside LBs and Ramsey is going to be shadowing Diggs. This is the perfect time to use motion to move the Dolphins CBs and then use Kincaid to exploit mismatches. Reallllly hope we see something like that.
  22. For any person checking this board and wondering why we are so hungry for injury updates on Hill, Waddle, Mostert and Achae, why we might almost seem bloodthirsty... Dolphins Rushing Leaders 1) Mostert - 1012 yards 2) Achae - 744 yard ... 3) Jeff Wilson Jr. - 143 yards Dolphins Receiving Leaders 1) Tyreek Hill - 1717 yards 2) Jaylen Waddle - 1014 yards ... 3) Durham Smythe - 336 yards The drop off is astounding
  23. Agreed. I wouldn't bet on it, because backup games are flukey, but I remember Matt Barkley and backups tearing it up vs Miami in a must win game for them, and the infamous "Bills couldn't beat the Steelers backups to get into the playoffs" moment.
  24. I have been burned (ok potentially a poor choice of words) by the Bills getting losing to backups to take a preemptive victory lap but jeeeeez that is some bad luck. Chubb and Howard being out at this point was already a foregone conclusion but I am carefully eyeing Mostert, Waddle and Achae on the injury report. After Hill (who definitely isn't 100% but is still dangerous) who else do they have as skill positions?
