  1. This coming from the guy with more than 8,000 posts. Burn.
  2. I don't know about that. I've been a Cubs fan since I was 6 years old and caught the WGN signal from Chicago and watched Ryne Sandberg become a Hall of Famer. I've never lived outside WNY or the Charlotte area, so I can't watch many Cubs games. But I do follow them religiously through the Internet with live game casts, box scores, highlights, blogs, etc. And I would never dream of rooting for anybody else. If Charlotte ever got an MLB franchise, I'd have nothing to do with them unless the Cubs came to town; and I've never been to a Carolina Panthers game (until this season, at least )
  3. But just because your city doesn't have a team, that doesn't give you the right to switch as you please, in my opinion.
  4. If I had to choose between a crooked front incisor or a wicked case of halitosis, I'm taking snaggle teeth every time.
  5. A blast from my posting past.
  6. Well then, if anybody's a portrait of stoicism, it's Jauron.
  7. To be fair, Belichick does get animated from time to time...
  8. You do it for the children, man. The children.
  9. Haha, that's what people have been saying for about five years now. Eventually, they'll make the playoffs and somebody will finally be right. As for my predictions: 1.) Leodis McKelvin will make the Pro Bowl one way or the other. 2.) The Eagles will win the Super Bowl.
  10. Hope you have good reading material in the john.
  11. Adding to the Bo Jackson stories, I was watching an interview with -- I believe -- one of Bo's high school coaches. He said Bo once stood in waist-high water, burst out, did a flip in the air and landed back on his feet in the water. That's mythic.
  12. I know! Unbelievable. It should have never been delayed in the first place.
  13. Thank God. I won't need to stop my daily "blumpkin" search.
  14. And speaking of Jeff Pearlman, he may be a good writer, but he sure doesn't have game.
  15. And Tim McCarver called him "selfish" for whatever reason. Sanders got him back with a post-series Champagne shower.
  16. I read a follow-up story in which they actually google-mapped one of his famous 570-foot home runs. Sure enough, it was about 570 feet.
  17. Is he any relation to Sidd Finch? /sorry
  18. Haha... Man, those things were gross. Like oversized, over-sugared, stale Frosted Flakes.
  19. I have to agree. I guess you just hope guys got better.
  20. Hasn't Leonhard already had his breakout season? In a full-time starting role, he'll be exposed. Even with an improved Jets defense.
  21. Much like the Batman franchise, Bond has (thankfully) gotten rid of the campy lameness. Also, how can you not see the humor in "American Psycho"? /sorry about the threadjack
