When it's obvious Trent is struggling during the game..
murra replied to K-No's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't get you. When Edwards finishes his first season with stats and wins less achieving than JP's in his first full season (under conditions without lynch, jackson, and reed being a real option, and an offensive coordinator mind you), will you still be this naive? What does it take for people to realize that JP Losman was not much worse than Edwards? I want Edwards to ride this through because he still has a future. I don't think less of Losman, I just don't think we should do to Trent what we did to him. The problem is that I liked Trent for what he did better than Losman (initially). If he keeps this up, Trent wont have anything over Losman, which makes posts like yours very sad. -

I agree entirely about how the role of a journalist is becoming more all-encompassing. In fact, I think the only reason I was so interested and decided to read that whole thing was that it was the first time I was reading Wilson write something other than, "The Bills are fifth in the league in 3rd down conversion which should bode well against the weak defense of whoever". -

If JP got in the game & lead us to the SB...
murra replied to SKOOBY's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am one of the few who still have hope for this team. That hope, however is much different than wishful disillusionment. Please refrain from saying, "Uhhhh," like I missed something obvious. You don't get to say Uhhh, when you're comparing the likelihood of our superbowl victory to two other instances in recent memory, which I'll have you know did not begin at 5-5. It's really disgusting that you tried to find evidence to support skooby's next ridiculous statement and likewise useless thread. Don't bother responding, I'm not going to read anymore ignorant banter from this thread. -

Did you actually think this thread would bring about good debate? Come on man. What are you six? Who starts a thread about our reaction to the scenario that our back-up quarterback takes the helm, wins at least 5 of 6 remaining games, gets into the playoffs in the wildcard position, and regardless of contract status and lingering tension is able to attain something that Jim Kelly, Dan Marino, and many other much better quarterbacks could not? -
Stop. You're continuing the joke, and you're again not humoring anyone but yourself. I'm done playing psychiatrist, but I just want you to know that it's just not normal the way you interract with people on these boards. It might not be creepy, but it certainly is annoying.

That took a while to read. I was surprised at his somewhat unprofessional stab at Jerry Sullivan (not that there is anything wrong with that): 11:36 First of all, I have never come out and said the kid was great. You have me confused with Jerry Sullivan. I've never had a forum to express my opinion on Edwards. If I did I would have said what I've told friends and colleagues: That I need to see more before I'm convinced. Please don't put all media under the same umbrella. -
Quoting me out of context to further your jokes is not the answer I was looking for. Why are you so reluctant on explaining your chaos?
-
You're ignoring my previous post imploring you to spill the beans. Once you do that, I'll bite and give you the logical answer you want someone to state as to why two teams host on thanksgiving day, but never play each other.
-
I don't know. Why would behavior upset him when he publicly announced the next day that our behavior is not as bad as the wrap it gets. Regardless, I don't think that's an issue here. If behavior decided a franchise's future Philadelphia would have no pro-sports.
-
I'm glad you told me that, I never knew what those other two games where about. Thank you.
-
Because, like the other guy said, you're trying to sucker me into arguing with you about something you don't believe in yourself, I'm not going any further. Due to the anonymity on a message board, your abnormal stances on the topics you bring up leads me to believe you have a saddening fixation with being the only one in on the joke. That's probably one of the signs of a serial killer or something likewise extreme, and while initially funny, you've been creeping me out recently. Can you just spill the beans here as to why you take pride in such bizarre topics, and try to be ridiculous as oppose to being normal?
-
I can't tell if you're joking? Anyways, I think by predetermined, they mean that 6 games each year are against your division. Your division then plays another division in the NFC, another 4 games. After that your division plays another division in the AFC, another 4 games. After that you have 14 pre-determined games. I think the next two games are done to stir up rivalries or rematches. This season, we play our division twice (like always), then the AFC West, the NFC West, and a rematch against the Browns, and a rematch against the Jaguars.

I'm not so sure. Goodell has the authority to instate an exception rule or do things to promote Buffalo staying in Buffalo. It's a storied franchise that wouldn't be difficult to promote at all. Could he not try and have Buffalonians foot the bill, much like the Packers fans, for their team as owners? Public ownership, and what have you is not the worst idea, is it?
-
After reading yet another article about the Bills possibly moving, this one has a much more optimistic tone. Do you actually think the NFL thinks keeping the Bills in Buffalo is for the best, or are they just parading around this notion to keep us happy? Do you trust Goodell, being from Jamestown and all?

Trent has a better supporting cast than JP did

What the hell are you talking about? He had a great preseason. -
...Yeah. Typically, not having a franchise anymore is the biggest loss in a franchise's history.

I addressed this issue immediately after the game here.

Eh, it's not that bad. I've played with kids who went juniors and wouldn't take a hit in the corner to save their lives. Connolly isn't a pus$y, he plays hard and goes into the corners. You can call him dumb for skating with his head down, but certainly he is no pus$y.

Your username is comical, being in a Bills board and all. -
TC averages over a point a game. I'm not saying he isn't made of glass, but he is the most talented player on our team.
